if everyone were to go over the transcript you would see for yourself.

scotthall: to start things off, users like zynthetic ask if there are super unlockables outside of the select screen's 24 available slots?

ed boon: well, there are not any additional hidden selectable characters on the main menu.

obviously ed boon answered this question like a smart a**
he says THERE ARE NOT any additional hidden selectable characters on THE MAIN MENU. he never said select screen.
he also adds: I think there are a ton of hidden features in the game, but not all of them are additional characters.

notice what he says "not ALL of them are ADDITIONAL CHARACTERS. meaning SOME of them are additional characters.

if thier wernt any then he would have said that that NONE of the them are additional characters. read the transcript for yourself but i believe that there are superunlockables. but like i said read the transcript and come up with your own idea!

Well, right now noone is sure wether there are SU's or no. However, mods and webmasters that went to Midway say that the answer is "No"; that "THERE ARE NO SUPER UNLOCKABLES"; and that this came from the team directly to them.

So don't put your hopes up too high....cuz it will probably be a long fall....
Edit: The one next to Shujinko is Hotaru I think....(I don't have the game on right now but I think its Hotaru...)

Just an update. Now two people on gamefaqs are claiming the same thing. I asked to play them on-line for proof and neither is responding.

Yea SUPER UNLOCKABLES is a name we made up. Secret characters don't have to be SUPER UNLOCKABLES, in fact nothing has to be SUPER UNLOCKABLE. That answer was very general, and should not be taken heavily.

Not true. SU was a term used by Boon in a Gamepro mag a while back describing stuff you can unlock long after you've beaten Konquest.

Super-unlockable is not a term we made up. Its what Boon said in interviews. See the October issue of Gamepro, or the 3rd Gamespot interview.

He hinted at more than cast that is on the character select screen and that feature is not in the final game.

The quote from Ed Boon is as follows received on 27th October 04.

"The main grid of characters is going to be 24, but there will be more. We wanted to add things that may not even be apparent on the select screen. Things such as achieving certain goals, some in two player modes of Kombat and Online Kombat and some things in Puzzle and Chess Kombat. So there will be many hidden features in Deception. Not all of them will be additional characters, however, there will be additional characters to MK Deception. But it will be hard to find them."

Now this here plus the way he worded stuff in the fight night chat

There are NO more ADDITIONAL chars on the SELECT screen.
so there it is.
The hidden characters are not on the select screen like blaze and mokap are NOT on the select screen in the last game...

Now I am wondering if the admin jumped to conclusions or if they got a verbal definate answer from the team when they went to visit em, if they based their response to fight night on the actual mIRC chat then I think they may have just went ahead and jumped to conclusions. I am confused about all of this.

As you can read at MKAustralia Ed Boon officially announced that there are SU Hidden Chars, but as he say they are not to be found at the select sreen... my opinion is because his Statement was given a day after Fight Night that they thought about talkin shit at some point and messin with their Fans that it should be said to not dissapoint the Fans again. So the Hunt is on! keep Searchin!

What if its like MKT for PS1. Like the two versions of Kano, Raiden, ect. When the character flips over to reveal an older version. But in Deception it reveals a new character or something.

And those damn keys in Konquest. Ive been to every hut in every relm and walked into them all. Except the ones that are locked in Earthrelm ( the one were the ninja is near the river). And I dont even have all of those colored keys either.... And their is the brady guide. They pretty much hinted at revealing everything in due time. Unlike MKDA were the guide gave you the answeres.

I think that the mods could've been lied to. If you think about it why would they just tell 10(?) ppl about SU's when the others don't know jack shit? The game hasn't even been published in Europe. The MK team probably thought that it would be unfair towards other people, and especially towards those that don't have the game. I'm not saying this is true, but could be. Everything's possible. Besides Mods are also human
