I actually love the Shredder look. It really works for him in my opinion. But I HATE his alternate costume. He looks horrible bald with the white pony tail.

What I've always liked is while after MK2 they tried changing Subs look, they always had his classic as a back-up. So, if you didn't like unmasked Sub-Zero with the obvious scar you could alt to his classic ninja look.
This game they went again with a 'new' sub-zero look approach but rather than giving us the classic to fall back on if we weren't fond of his new age look- they gave us a crappy bald/monk like Sub-Zero- which is what dissappoints me.
Also, I miss the 'icy cold' effect that he had in DA around his arms/hands.
If they want to give someone a new look cool- but I'd like it if they had our tried and true classics as back-up.
I find most of the alt outfits are really crappy in this game. Picking characters that I don't like the look of already I press start thinking "man, their alternate has to look better than this!" and I'll be damned only like 5 of the 24 have acceptable alts.

I agree with Nosferous, his icy cold hands look was awesome from MKDA. If only they could have combined that with his Shredder look from Deception then I think that would be the best. He shouldn't have had the fur look either, it made him look somehow less hardcore.

I really love his new costume (not so much the ponytail alt though). I liked his old one too, and while I found the ninja clones of many colors amusing in the old MKs, I like it that Sub Zero now has his own definite look - even if it resembles Shredder (it's just a standard helmet, damnit, it's not like Shredder or Sub Zero are the only ones in history to wear it).

Subs new look is great, the alternate costume looks sweet he really looks like he is a true grandmaster, and the original costume what can I say he's "sportin the chinchilla to hurt they feelings"

Subzero's new look is brilliant! I love it.
It has the feel he is an important character with such a unique look.
Also as it gives him the look of an actual grandmaster.
He could have been given his mkda alt as his alt in this one...but as for this look.....its the best one yet

What do you mean "Retarded amount of new people"? Johnny Cage, Sonya, Kano, and Quan Chi were in Deadly Alliance... Give them a break for now... Most of MKD's characters ARE old characters, in case you haven't noticed. Jade, Mileena, Baraka, Sub-Zero (of course), Scorpion (of course), Liu Kang, Ermac, Tanya, Nightwolf, Raiden (of course), Kabal, Sindel, Noob Saibot and Smoke.
Out of 24 people, there are probably 5 or 6 new people.

I think they made Sub-Zero look like Shedder from the retro teenaged mutant ninja turtles......which is awesome. I disagree with the poster. I do wish that sub zero was alittle faster or with a little longer combos, cause he's pretty hard to use against tougher opponents.

i hate his new look! his alt costume is "okay" but he'd have to lose the pony tail. hotaru, raiden, and fujin already have the grey pony tail! if i was makin the subzero outfits. i woulda had his classic as his first. his alt outfit would be his original outfit from mk:da (unmasked with jap symbols) but he'd have kooler boots with some blue decoration and he'd have just the mask over his mouth w/ no hood, and baggier pants. (kind of a mixture of his mkd alt and his mkda original.) i also agree that he should be faster. after all, he is a ninja! they making him so big now tho. but yeah, if i am using him, i always have the alt on bekuz i hate the shredder look

So what if he does look like a ripoff of shredder. He still looks really sweet. His alt. costume really sucks though. He looks as old as Shujinko. They should have made his alt. same as scorpions. Except blue obviously. Nobody would have complained to that. Scorpions alt. is the best alt. in the game. Ever.

I love the new look. Both costumes are unique and set him apart from the other ninjas which in my opinion is needed. The best thing about Mortal Kombat is the diverse characters. They're all unique and should look unique.

Subzero's new looks are badass. I think its funny how people say they hated the ninja clone, but when subzero's outfit is changed, they bitch about that. My only gripe is that I wish subzero was bald in his alt.

Shujinko

Havik
Ashrah
Out of all those, Shujinko is the only interesting character to me. Darrius and Hotaru feel like they belong in Tekken or some other Japanese fighting game with boring characters. I really dont care for Ashrah either.
I would say out of all the MK's this one has the weakest line up of new Characters.

What the hell are you moaning about?!? The new characters from MKD look cool!! (Especially Onaga, Havik, Hotaru). Shujinko, Kira, Ashrah are also ok. OK, I have to admit, I could have lived without Darrius, Dario and Kobra, but they're not thaaat bad...
If you ask me, you're just some old MK fan, who still lives in a time where MK Trilogy rules; hating all new characters and just wanting a new MK game with no new characters...
As if the rest of the MK fans want a remake of Trilogy... -.- (without characters starting from MKDA that is...).
And what's your problem? MKD is CRAMMED with old characters! You can't have all in one game!! What will be left of MK7??
Back to topic; I find Sub-Zero's new costume cool (eventhough the idea to compare him with Shredder is kind of weird... ^^). But I jsut LOVED his MKDA nija look, but the problem is, it looked more like a top Lin Kuei assasin outfit, rather than an outfit for a grand master...
The MKD costume, on the other hand, gives us exactly that impression!
But I do find his alt. costume... weird...
He looks kind of old, and it doesn't resemble Sub-Zero, if you ask me. It doesn't bother me THAT much, but I would have been happier with an outfit from previous MK games.
Oh and refering to Scorpion, I think that Scorp's alt outfit has gotten kind of old and it doesn't look that good anymore, compared to his MKDA/MKD outfit. He has a lot more details for example. And I would have prefered his MKDA alt, cause it look way too cool (or rather too hot ;) ...)!
Let's just hope Sub-Zero's and Scorp's outfit rule in MK7! ;)
Oh yeah and one more thing, I think that the Scorp fans should be happy with his outfit, cause they probably would have been mad at Midway, if they would have suited his outfit to his story (beeing a warrior of the Elder gods...). I mean imagine Scorp. in white cloaks or something like that... ^^

I Like it. it's not as good as his MK2 look but better then the unmasked version.

his outfit is the coolest out fit not such a fan for the alt but MKDA I liked the ALt a lot better than MKDA standard (Looks gay with no mask)

As far as his fur goes to it ruins the look even further he looks like he belongs in siberia or something like i stated before sub zero was my favorite character of all time i just think they went too drastic in changing his look

I agree 100% Even his fatalities have improved majorly, the common head+spine rip thing is getting very old.

Sub has always been and always will be my favorite MK character. I think his new look freakin rocks! Ever since Midway released the first hi-res image of his new costume, I've been jacked about this game........In fact, I'm very pleased with the character looks overall........Ermac and Mileena look especially badass
