Thats the problem with a lot of people now, they see a lot of characters as palette swaps. Thats what many see rain as and thats why they don't want him back. People have got to start looking past what the characters used to be and see that they can now be different people.

People are saying she looks like a palette swap? This is the first I've heard of this. Then again, I didn't read the million Jade threads that popped up after her sighting.

I don't see how Jade looks like a palette swap...At all! Yes her "braids" outfit is similar to the one she wore in UMK3/MKT...but it's hardly the SAME. It's much improved and looks badass! (much like Tanya's updated look...it keeps elements of the original, while putting a fresh spin on it) Also...Jade's Alt (the dress one) Looks fantastic!

I agree with you JadeRocks...I don't see how she can be viewed as a swap at all. Could someone who DOES feel she looks like a swap explain why they think so? I'm NOT trying to be a wise-ass here..I'm genuinely interested to know your thoughts.

Jade's outfit looks very different, it doesn't even look like the one Kitana had in MKDA.

I must say, I never liked the looks of any of the women in MK.
Every costome in every Mk was just ok, probably why I didnt choose them.
Jade is the only one I like and cant wait to play with and im not a jade fan cause I have only played MK 1&2.

Nobody can be called a pallet swap anymore. Ever since MK4 that was gone, and now the fighters are very unique and original.

I think some of these people still are thinking of the 2-D MKs. They need to look at the screen shots before they speak out of the wrong hole.

Exactly.

Besides, the ONLY thing that looks similar to Kitana is that mask. Nothing else. And that does not even count, because since Mk2, they all look alike.

She is 100% original.

Thank you! Finally, someone who sees Rain for who he really is. Rain is a stupid character with stupid moves, a stupid look, and an absolutely ridiculous story ending in a suicide mission. The man is dead, let's keep it that way.

I kinda hope rain returns. They could make him better, but with Nightwolf back I'd say if he's not a super secret character he's not going to be in it. Then again Ermac and Kenshi are in.

I didn't like Rain because he was a pallette swap i didn't like him because he wasn't very good, hope he doesn't come back.

Rain was awful! Being a palette swap ruined him. His story was at most, laughable.

He may be back in MKD!

And to get back on topic, I'm glad many of you realise that Jade is no longer a palette swap. Neither are Mileena and Kitana!

Come to think of it I never used Rain but once.. to see what his fatality was.. I was disappointed. I think the only reason i said that is because i like ninja's .. I know kill me now. Ok back on track no more gay rain talk. Yep the chicks are all original

As tgrant stated, no one is a pallet swap anymore. Because there's no pallets! All the characters that seemed like nothing more than cheap attempts to up the character count (MKT, mostly) have had their looks changed and expanded on. Like it or not, they're all going to become fully realized characters eventually...probably even Rain.

I always liked Jade. Even in the old days, Jade stood out as one of the better pallete swipes.

But now those days are dead and Jade can finally get a chance to develope even more as her own.

As for Rain, I thought his story was decent...but that's about it. Sadly, Rain was the bottem of the barrel of pallete swipes. But that's not to say he couldn't or shouldn't return.

Why do people complain about Rain as the pallette swap? I thought Rain was pretty cool, but Ermac was the lame one of the two. Ermac was so generic. Just a ninja that shot "energy". Rain could control Lightning. I always liked that.
