If your playing against a high level Mileena .... all they will do is spam "Flying Sais" all day long. You cannot get past it unless you have a person like Jax.

I honestly don't see how that's high level play with Mileena. Any retard can spam her sais all day long. That's just like throwing Sareena's knives at machine gun speed except you can side step those.

MK2 is decently balanced except for Reptile.

Mileena can be beat by the bunch of them.

Shang, Kitana, Jax, Kung (especially him), Liu, raiden, Scorpion.

Baraka, Cage and Reppy have to work super hard for the win vs Mil.

for me i use Kitana when trying to best a high level mileena. Kitanas Air punch move goes over spamming mil sais and hits mil. only time mil can hit kit is if mil throws it at the highest part of the stage. then it turns into a 50/50 thing. Mil tries to out smart Kit by throwing the sai high in the air Kitana just tosses out a fan.

Scorpion ~ teleport. or a timed spear ( im good at those )
Shang ~ Fireballs (the 3 one) and his jumping kick and clip are best in the game.



i saw the vid, the Mil player didnt even play mil right. you gotta use her other moves as well. you cant just sai sai sai your foe would then fireball her ass as well. you gotta trick your foe into doing a fireball then do her kick moves. Mil players just doing her sai over and over ISNT HIGH LEVEL. they'll get their ass killed vs a high level foe.

I play T3 on ePSXe..... playstation 1 emulator.

I actually have to set it down to the Shittiest settings possible. Not exactly pretty... but it works.

Hell... I find it hard to even play online now. Most of the people I play... we usually end up getting desynced due to this shitty computer.

I'll be picking up a new computer this October as soon as the Mac Pro with Leapord OSX his shelves.... and then I'll be able to run windows on it.


But for MK2.... its unfortunate that I can only play decently with the sound off. It doesnt play at playable speeds with sound for some stupid reason

Just read this post.

Few mistakes here -

A. UMK3 is by far the best gameplay in mk history. MK2 is actually quite bad...

B. DA is by far the best 3D MK. It is the most balanced and most playable 3d mk. MKD is a piece of crap. MKA is much much better but still broken (air cancel, Sareena...). MK4, well, it's crap.

C. MK3 is the worst MK right after MKD. So many inf, Sub was perheps more broken than MKD Ashrah and N/S.

whats bad about MK2? dont say its broke, those big combos you see in those vids almost never happen in high level MK2 play. Kitana and scorpion have easy big combos that can be done anywhere.

MK1 - Broken

Sonyas leg grab infinite is beyond stupid and sad.

And from what I remember... on a wall, repeated jump punches were also an infinte.


MK2 - Good

Aside from Mileena running shit in that game... the game is well balanced.

Fun as hell


MK3 - BROKEN

Subzero's clones FTW. This game had infinites up the ass to. Very poorly tested.


UMK3 - Best MK ever

Do you guys ever wonder why this game is still played in tournaments all over the U.S. ? Because its the most balanced MK out there. It actually takes a good amount of skill to be a good player also.

MK4 - Underrated... but still a bit broken

You had Subbys clone infinite, and easy max damage combos. Any random noob could easily button mash, and be good to go.

However... it was a VERY underrated game. I actually would rather play that with a couple friends rather than MKA anyday

I get what ur saying.

But to me, MK2 is just a bit boring, it's like a very very toned down version of UMK3, without running and combos.

MK2 is my favourite MK but gameplay wise it's quite shallow, compared to UMK3.


About MK4 - I actually don't hate this game so much.

Ed Boon said it the best about this game - "We took it to 3D but we kept a 2D engine..."

Why do you guys think MK3 is so bad. Isn't UMK3 an updated version. Surely, MK3 couldn't have been that bad if UMK3 is based on it.

because umk3 fixxed almost everything MK3 was lacking, mostly balance and characters.

Exactly,considering Kabal (He was overpowered in MK3) And Subby (Ice Clone Infinite)Im sure there is more,but none I could think of at the moment.

Glad to see the "new" tier list about MK2, dan. I always had a feeling Raiden and Scorpion were better than low tier, thanks for clearing that up. Shang is lower now though, gotta love his jump kicks, sweeps, and fireball cheese though.

I agree, Mil is certainly beatable unless used by someone who actually knows how to use her. Most people just use her because she's the best, but don't REALLY know how to use her, spamming super unsafe teleport kicks and rolls.
