Too many duplicate threads. Too much flooding. Where's the love?

It seems we have a hundred threads that are all asking the same things. There are really good threads that are falling to the second page at light speed because people are making saying things that have been said a thousand times already.

Before you make a thread, take the extra two or three seconds to see if it's been posted already. And even if there hasn't been a thread specifically for the subject, it may have been rammed into the ground in other topics(Example: pic of Smoke.) Thus, no need for a thread.

We don't need need fifteen threads speculating whether it's the original or younger Subzero, nor ten threads saying Ermac's blood is green. In order to have the most thoughtful discussion, we need to concetrate our thoughts and ideas.

Mister_Satan made a thread discussing all that is Ermac, and his thread got buried by OTHER ERMAC THREADS,as well as other near-duplicated topics. What kind of statement is this making about the forum?

I agree. I've came across lots of good threads that i want to chat about, but they all keep getting drained down because of new useless threads. Blah.

Yeah the way I see it they should just bump the past threads.... no point in having 14 threads with the same damn topic.... it's kinda ridiculous how the thread count on MK:Deception has surpassed the thread Count on MK:DA, if only people would be considerate and just reply a damn thread that relates to what they've gotta say

I don't know how much work it would be, but if somehow the mods could merge threads that have the same topic, that would be alot easier. But I have no idea whether that is an easy task, a hard task, or time consuming.

Good responses, guys. smile

I noticed that none of the users I was referring to posted in this thread. It's amazing how lazy some new people are about reading posts. I explained Smoke's entire bio in one thread, and three posts down in the same thread, some guy was asking what was the story behind Smoke. That's just ridiculus. Also, some people are making three or four threads a day, and the forum is getting really messy because of it.

But to be honest, I don't think there is any easy solution to this. The problem is that users aren't reading posts or anyone else's content. I do not see how the rules will be any more or less interesting to them. Before this place was a haven of news, it was a union of users.

People need to understand that this forum is a community, not just some place where people can shotgun their opinions.
