On the Toys R Us website, it lists MK:D will be available October 1st. Anyone else notice this or is this really old news?

I ordered like that from toys r us before. What happens is those sleazeballs make those typos on purpose so that people will buy the thing from them instead of other stores. I complained about it when I bought a couple of games and those fuckers said that it was an error, and to prove it they pointed out that the site also said that my game was released on the 1 instead of the 10 of the month that it came out, I think it was December. If the site also said the 15, then toys r us are getting it the 15, and not the 1st. They just want to cheat you into bringing them your business.

You might be right but Target, FYE, and Toys R US are all saying it will be released on the 1st.
On the official mkd site they changed it from the 4th to the 5th.

they key here is that you're looking at their website. any website where you order a game, movie or cd before it comes out will recieve the game/movie/cd before the actual release date and ship it to you early. this way you will get the item in the mail around when the actual release date is. sometimes it's a day or two early, sometimes the exact day, and sometimes it's late.

They can say they're getting it whenever they want, but the game doesn't ship until October 4th, which means no one gets it before then.

100% correct. some folks are gonna get early; i have no doubt. some folks are gonna get it late; i have no doubt. some folks will get it right on time; i have no doubt. it all depends on what part of the country you live in and how far away you are from the shipping center and if you are getting it by mail or at the store. relax folks; its coming next week. when ya get it is when ya get it.

ToysRus is getting it the first,so it has been said.I decided to call around town and state here and got the news first hand. The district manager quoted to say that it will be ready for sale on Oct.1.I asked him if he meant the strat guide and he confirmed it was the actual game. They have it listed as the Ps2 version.Best buy also confirmed the same as ToysRus confirmed.Gamestop of course will still be pushing for the 4th-5th release.

can people stop obsessing as to what store will be getting the game first? my gosh, this is ridiculous. no wonder gamers are the butt of many jokes. you tend to obsses over minute, meaningless things. give the stores a break damn it. just wait until the end of next week. what's the rush. what is the difference that someone gets the game earlier than others? i am not playing the game until a couple of weeks...i don't care.
people, please start caring and obssesing about something much more meaningful, like your health! it's not healthy to be sitting in front of the damn computer and checking out the mk5.org website every damn second. GEt a damn life! Mortal kombat is not reality, it's all fantasy!!!

I can't see what your problem is - at least you know that by the end of next week you can or will have bought it! You're arguing about a release dates that are all within about 3 or 4 days range!
All the UK gamers are patiently waiting for 5th Nov to get our version and based on current rumour we may get there only to be told it's still not coming out for another month!
Just enjoy the fact you ppls get it next week, stop squabbling, UK gamers get the real rough deal!
Peace!

I dont trust stores like toys r us and target when it comes to games. Ebgames knows what they're doing because they are all about games.
