NUKES: Cool. Thanks for the compliment. I was aware that the 1~1~4 did a little more, but I found the 1~1~3 to be easier to follow up EVERYTIME! Don't forget the 53% I got. I know you can plant yourself, but it's still attainable if the opponent doesn't! I also liked the fact that I was able to get a good amount of damage with less hits than an air cancel or relauncher in the corner. These combos may be a little easier to pull off for those who can't get the hang of the air cancels and otg stuff, you know? Just thought I'd contribute something. It's not often I get to play the game. That's why I like to run things past you, first.

WOW!! the idea of releasing both of these movies at the same time was FLAWLESS!!! im so glad i did, at least this time, hehe...

both movies feature EVERY characters BEST combos, and a list is in the works for those combos.

Holy shit, this stuff is insane!!! It definately has the potential to completely change high level online play. I can see why it took a lot of work to get these vids done. Great job Check and Karate.

But you gotta tell me though, how do you do this grab cancel stuff. You grab, cancel it and get a free (pop up) combo??? Can it be done indepent of how good the connection is? (in contrary to Air Cancels?)

NUKES: Is there a trick to the jump in starters? I thought I heard something about most characters being able to follow up a deep kick with a pop up or combo...in the middle of the arena...no corners! Is this true??

jason is right! this is the first time one author has released 2 huge tribute full featured videos on the same day! he spent a HUGE amount of time on extreme and impossible! ive watched these videos over 4 times each and i look forward to watching them even more : ))))))))))))

How is the footage of mortal kombat fighters in first person view created?

Well to answer your question,It was simple.

That was done by me (TKOEVO) being Li Mei and doing a glitch throw and then Check (EVOLVED) recorded the camera freezing and he angled it so we would have first person views.

Congrats to Check and Nukesgoboom for MK Impossible. It turned out great guys. I love the Way MK Extreme turned out to. I love the music and the ending credits. Thanx for choosing The gold for my thank you page. That was awesome.

Both movies were a big hit and i cant wait to see what we will be able to do in the mks to come.

from what i hear, grab cancel doesnt work on 4 stars but maybe karate can correct that from me, i do know its harder on better connections.

air cancels are nearly impossible regardless of anything online, to me, its just the way online is.

but yes, the grab just adds about 6% usually but gives you a free combo afterwards, sometimes u get the full damage for the throw, but i dont know what determines it.

awesome reply as always man, im glad you picked out certain parts that you liked! those bell combos do work online, however, the air kombat is near impossible, (no pun) to do anyway, i was thinking about doing some in the online vid just to show they do work, just not to the same extent.

and lol, rammstein? god hasnt that been used in like 10 different mk vids? , definitly will consider it dude, my main objective with the music is to keep the lyrics out of it though, i feel they distract the viewer from the actual parts taking place, hence why i can never pick out music, cuz its all political and revolutionary, lol... i did pick out the muggs song though at the end!! im sure u enjoyed that snippet. i highly recommend his instrumental LP, DUST, its a mix of all different types of music, i know i seen Grandmasters on ur myspace before, so u know muggs!! ; ) but yea, the music was highly impressive, and coming from a person with such good taste as yourself, ( and great lyricist might i add ) its highly noted, and i do mean high

KARATE - hey man! finally you were able to see both videos. i was wondering what happened to you because you simply dissapeared for about 5 days last time i talked to you. you and jason should be very happy with extreme, and ive heard that you guys have even more footage for an updated version of extreme which is great, and also you are working on mk ex 2? so godly!! the intro was fantastic and very creative idea of using that throw glitch with li mei that jason found, truely hilarious every time i see it LOL. i had to use black boxing on your taven gold page because simply no text would blend well with the massive amounts of yellow in that picture, so i hope its not an issue with ya



Check - yup!! i agree with you! Rammstein is an excellent band and i enjoy them but youll never hear them in a video i have sound design control over! much to mainstream, great band of course, but something else should be used. you said the music was 'flawless' so its apparent you feel the same way!

and yes you should put these videos together as a job resume for midway. i can think of nothing more impressive than a huge series of tribute videos showcasing personal discoveries of glitches and such for a testing job that anything else. you definitly have a chance of getting hired there. you have the full support of everyone here too. i know i have mentioned this before. seriously, CALL MIDWAY and talk to someone about how to get employed there. if they take you, you will probobly have to move out to chicago or california because most console beta testers are not allowed to take the games home with them, but wouldnt that be a job that you would do 60 hours a week and love every second of it?

Yeah Alex i was having some issues with the weather and i was stranded at a friends house for like 6 days. It was bad,But i got home and watched both movies. I loved every minute of it. You did a great job editing and putting it altogether. Congrats man! No dont worry about the Thank you page it turned out better than i thought. I love it. You put the 20,000 gold screen that is what i wanted. I love the tracks you put on there. Man, Dragonforce and Joe Satriani were awesome ideas for music.

Dude i would love to work for Midway. Getting paid to test games!!!! That would be a dream come true. Me and Check would make it so that way all of the new fighting games will be more balanced and actually have a competitive play and there will be no Characters like Sareena with absolutely no recovery frames for a projectile. All of the Chars would be some what equal. There would be no OTGS or glitches like the "Magic Grab". I think it would make a more positive experience for everyone.

So once again Great job guys and yes me and Check were talking about a add on possibly a MK Extreme 2 but im not sure exactly how many new combos we will have. Check is right now going through all the tapes so ill have to get back to you.

KARATE - dragonforce is indeed a great song! thank you very much for finding that. wow! jason told me something about how you were snowed in so deeply that you had to hang out at a friends house for almost a week. thats insane! im glad that you are doing ok now and nothing serious went wrong. i mean, you guys are gonna be working on MK: Beyond the extreme at some point right? LOL! about sareena, her knives only do 4 damage each, so perhaps its not as bad as it appears? its true that no recovery frames probobly isnt the best idea, it would have been better if her knives did 8 damage but she had many more recovery frames to wait before throwing another.

CHECK: I finally had a chance to view your videos last night. Wow...what else can I say? Those videos were crazy!! I think my favorites were the gong combos. I did one a while back with Mavado, but it wasn't an air combo. After the opponent hit the gong, I was able to land 1~1~4, 1~1~4, b~f+4. But, I think it was complete luck because eveytime I tried to replicate it, I couldn't. LOL!
Anyways, great work. And as for the suggestion to try and get a job with Midway, I really, really, really think you outta persue that. It's not often people get a chance to work in a field where they are happy with their job. I was one of the lucky ones! I love my job and can't tell you how happy I am everyday to go to work. Plus, I get paid large sums of money, to boot! LOL!! I think we could all agree that Mortal Kombat is going to be around for a very long time. Especially since they want to do one every year. In light of this, you could have a job for a very long time...one that you love. Plus, we, the customers, would benefit from finally getting a glitch free MK!!
