He isn't meant to make you laugh, he is the comic relief.

Dan from Street Fighter never made me laugh.

Neither did Hercule from DBZ.

Cage is certainly iconic, but his role as the "comic relief" of Mortal Kombat is nearly as bad as that of Jar Jar Binks in The Phantom Menace. Okay maybe not THAT bad wink
