Weak Characters

Why are some of the characters weaker than others? I mean I did a 9 hit combo with Noob and it does 39% then I do a 9 hit combo with Sub-Zero it does 29%. I've noticed this with alot of other characters too. Of course the boss characters are more powerful but come on...... Kabal??? Him and Mavado shouldn't be going at it. I can do a 5 hit combo with Ermac then do a 9 hit combo with Chamelon but Ermac does more. I'm not complaing but if you own a stratedgy guide is it supposed to be like this? I just wanted to know before i go any further.

That's generally how most fighting games work. It creates diversity and balance between characters. Otherwise strategies would be all but irrelevent and the only differences between fighters would be special moves.

Have you seen Tanyas Kobu Jutsu compared with Strykers Nightsticks - it is rediculous. They have the same moves, but Tanya is a beast compared to Stryker.

Yeah that is what i mean, well thnx for the info, i never knew that, but sub zero has ICE ARMS and the Dragon Madallion he should be stronger, they make scorpion stronger every game.

i use hotaru and beat peoples asses. he dosent have a killer combo but he makes up for it in other ways. so just work on your technique. i guess grin

Damn I love Sindel, Nitara, and Kenshi but for some reason they are weak compared to the deception and deadly alliance versions....ONe of my favriote chars to use is Sonya because she is very tricky and annoying if used correctly.tongue
Some of the power tweaks are good things. You could plain demolish people with Baraka and Noob-Smoke in Deception if you knew what you were doing. Sure, some of the more challenging characters have gotten tweaked in odd ways as well, but I don't think that any character has been changed to the point where they are unplayable.

Yeah if you compare Cyrax to Sektor it's obivious than Sektor is much stronger. Sektor has so many launchers for air combos but Cyrax has only 2 or 3. I like Cyrax better though because he has Christmas tree lights on his armor.

i think its because it shows who is stronger than who. It opens a level of comparing. Tanya and stryker have the same moves but tanya takes more energy away...that means in the MK world tanya is stronger than stryker.

Also you have to take into play whether a character is speed or power based. a stronge character will take more damage away in 4-5 hits than a weaker faster character doing a 9 hit combo.

All it does is show who is stronger than who and what your characters strong points are.

Tanya's weapon has blades. I think stryker's are just night sticks. So, I'd rather get wacked with a nighstick than sliced with a slicer nightstick.

Some characters are designed that way. If all that mattered was the amount of hits, the game would become way too unbalanced to play.

As far as I've seen, Quan Chi is the most powerful. His 3-hit combo with his Broadswords does 40%! Well, I guess I shouldn't leave my KAK out of this, I can do 44% but that's with like 3 ground and 7 air hits.

who I think has gotten weak in Mka sinmce of MKD I know some may be disagree with what i think, but its just me and my opinion really..

Kobra was kick arse in MKD now in MKA he has gotten weak as well as Dai..

Dai for one is striong killing machine in MKD for against any char it all depends on the player..

My Hotaru is good, and Chameleon,kira too in MKA which is rather intresting..
