Rain's dead, and since I didn't really like him, I think he should rest in peace. We have Ermac and Noob back with Scorpion and Sub Zero, no need for any more ninjas any time soon.

I think Rain should somehow come back. Although supposidly Kahn crushed him for trying to do a suicide mission attack against him. I think he has the potential to look real badass... look at Ermac and Noob and Zero and Scorp... they all transformed into awesome fighters, appearence wise. Hes got lots of potential with his story as well, perhaps when Kahn returns, Rain will return to fullfil his vendetta with Kahn for killing his father. They can improvise on his moves and he can have some gruesome fatalites if the MK team wanted him to. I think he should come back... either for revenge against Kahn, or to help Sindel or Kitana with Edenia as a body guard or general for their army. Maybe not for MK:D but for a future MK installment, perhaps MK7 or whenever Kahn returns to power to claim his throne again.

I think Rain is awesome. I think if Shao Kahn comes back, there is a chance that Rain might too.

No I don't think Rain should be included. We already have enough ninja's returning Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Ermac, and Noob Saibot. Besides Rain wasn't all that great. I just don't see where they can take his story to make him valid in MKD.

Rain was awesome, and what if they didn't make him a ninja? They don't have to make him even human. The only two ninjas that aren't back are Rain and Smoke, and by the looks of it Smoke is back. I like Rain more than Smoke too so I would rather Rain be back.

Some wrote that rain was killed by kahn after going on a suicide mission against him, but the ending in his story just said that he went after him alone and that was it. Never said the he was killed. So i think he could come back and be a protecter of kitana along with jade. Although he was a ninja in past MK games, he was just a palette swap used for extra characters. So he could come back as a character you just need to stop looking at him as another ninja. Scorpion and Sub zero are official ninjas. Noob saibot i think is also called a ninja. As for ermac he is just a collection of souls manifested into the form of a person. Reptile was also dressed the same in the last games but now hes totally different, you just need to look at them as seperate people and not just pallette swaps like they used to be.

Rain MUST have at least one ninja outfit. If he were to come back thats how I picture him, in an Edenian ninja warrior getup. Like a royal ninja kinda of suit. With Edenian royal symbols, royal shining metal, etc. He can have an unmasked general outfit for those who dont want him to return as a ninja, but he has to atleast have a ninja outfit for his alt. Of course, that is if he served as a general to Sindel and Kitana and wasnt dead. Every ninja is in MK:D practically, excluding some of the cyborgs... one more ninja wont hurt, to complete the ninja roster. But its too late now, i doubt they'll announce him as a character in this installment, but for a future MK, he's gotta return at least once. Alot more shittier characters have returned, Rain at least deserves on comeback.

Heres Rain's story:
Rain - Born of Kitana's former world of Edenia, Rain was smuggled away from the realm as a small child shortly after Shao Kahn's takeover. Thousands of years later he resurfaced. His allegiance belonging to Kahn, he chose to betray his homeland rather than suffer at the hands of Kahn's extermination Squads. Rain fought valiantly for the emperor, but it would be Kahn's own step daughter, Princess Kitana, who turned Rain against him. Like Kitana, Rain's origins also came from their former realm of Edenia. He learned that his father was once a general in Edenia's army and died at the hands of Shao Kahn himself. Enraged at the truth about his history, he joined Kitana in aligning with the Earth Realm Warriors. But his allegiance came under question when he mysteriously disappears during an extermination squad attack. To prove his loyalty he embarked on a suicide mission in an unsuccessful attempt to destroy Shao Kahn.

Note the word... UNSUCCESFUL. But, perhaps Kahn did not destroy him, perhaps he escaped and went into hiding, similar to smoke. But its odd that there has been no mention from him, not even from fellow Edenians Kitana or Sindel. You sort of get the feeling the guy's dead, esepecially after an unsuccesful suicide attack on none other than Shao Kahn himself.

Rain = WORST CHARACTER EVER! Well, except maybe Stryker. Anyway, I hope he never returns. There are too many ninjas in MKD already. I don't care it they look different now, they originated as ninjas, and that's how I'll always think of them.

i think rain should come back he has alot of potential he has a great storyline cool moves but the only thing is that hes fatalities r pretty bad but if rain comes back i think and i hope he will have a cool look and he is going to have really new cool fatalties it will make decption a better game

No offense bro, but that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard pertaining to Reiko, let alone Rain. Reiko has a bloody/maroon colored getup. It looks like a ninja outfit, but he aint no ninja. Reiko in my opinion, has, does and always will suck balls, and never EVER deserves to come back. Rain is 10x's a better character in my opinion. I honestly dont know what it is about the guy, I just HATE him. He makes me sick to my stomach everytime I see him.

I think rain was an excellent character to play with in MKT. If he were worked on he could really be an interesting character, especially storywise... And also his ending might of not happened... thats a possibility also no one touched on... Rain and jade should both return revamped and infused with fresh interesting storylines, and new moves and fatalities.. later

Exactly. Was I the only person who didn't mind the palette swaps ? It wasn't THAT big a deal. They were a bit lazy , so what ? All the ninjas had different moves and stories. And personally , I think Rain has MUCH more potential than Noob Saibot or Ermac.

I for one didnt mind the pallette swaps at all. I enjoyed fighting as each one of the ninjas and I enjoyed each one of their stories. Though I consider Rain Ermac and Noob to be equal, potential wise, I think Noob is the most interesting out of the bunch.

It would be interesting to see rain return. Noob and ermac is making there debute, so i think rain should to. If not MK6, perhaps MK7. I think rain is pretty cool, there are alot of descriptions on how he could look like. I think he would look bad ass as a knight or samurai. I can imagine him wearing shoulder pads with little spikes on them. I also picture him with a really dark purplish-blue cape (kind of like mavado, except more royal looking). He could have armor on different places on his body, definately on his knees, arms, and stomache. His clothing could be dark shades of purple, and perhaps little bits of lighter purple on him in some areas. His weapon could be a axepole or a volkoth.

Anyways, i dont care big time for rain returning, but it would be nice to see him return. They could tell us where he was and what happened. Perhaps he could be sindels general leading the edenian army into battle with the DK or another boss.
