Definitely Doomsday and Lobo... and not some bullshit skinning and giving him the same moves as another character. Aside from his own moves and Fatalities, it should contain an ending and a bio, so it feels like a real legit character.

Maybe a few levels wouldn't hurt either... some classics maybe. Deadpool anyone? Living Forest?

A perfect DLC would be changing all DC Character Models for MK Characters only.

Vomit: Yeah, some stages would be nice. I personally don't want Johnny Cage or Black Canary for DLC but a lot of fans do and were featured in the polls, so that's why I put them in my prediction.

Zidane_FF: Those also would be nice to have available because fans want them too. I personally wouldn't want them though. I'd prefer Bane and some other characters.

If it isn't free, it's a disappointment. Almost as much as the likelihood of people happily paying for it. I'm conflicted about their position, but if the presence of the DC brand isn't moving the numbers they need to recoup cost on store shelves, I think they've really done themselves (and fans) a disservice.

I would LOVE those packs! Although I'd hope that it doesn't stop there. It's probably wishful thinking but I'd like to see the roster get up to around 40-50.

Additional characters I'd like to see are Goro, Noob Saibot, Smoke, Rain, Sektor, Brainiac, Bane, Kilowog, Green Arrow, Bizarro, Parasite, Killer Croc....oh heck any Superman or Batman villain would be awesome.

I'd also really like to see some new costumes for the characters like from Red Son, Kingdom Come, Batman Beyond, as well as the different forms of Sub-Zero, Reptile, etc.

There's so much they can do with DLC, a lot of which really should have been included in the game to begin with frankly. They better come through with the characters you mention though at the very least.

I'd really like to see Mileena, I really miss her and I know she'd play great in this game. They could do a bunch of things with her in terms of reinventing her move set, fatalities, and the like, thanks to her unique personality and place in the MK universe.

Secondly, I'd like to see a pack with alternates for all characters, or at least one for MK and one for DC. Either this or an add-on that introduces some type of character customization. This is something that doesn't really hurt the game, but that is nonetheless lacking.

I thought they said characters wouldn't be DLC, because that would break the game's balance? I think they hinted more at stages and costumes.

Also: For the love of God, give Kahn and Darkseid Fatalities through DLC. If you SNAFU'ed on not giving them Fatalities upon release, you've got a freaking second chance.

They definitely are for downloadable characters. Ed Boon mentioned it in an interview and the creators showed interest, especially with regards to Lobo, in the fight night chat.

It sucks this characters weren't involved in the storyline as WE KNOW THEY SHOULD HAD BEEN. This was was soooo meant for:

I say give us Johnny, Mileena, Sindel and another well-chosen male for DLC for MK.

As for the DC side, I only care about Posion Ivy, though I hear good things of Zatanna and BC. Still, Poison Ivy over any of them.

And the characters better rock, have their own style, unique look AND fatalities.

Shame on the Kahn/Seid thing. That was lame. -_-

1. ALTERNATE COSTUMES. I mean come on. Maybe if the game does well DC can be convinced to allow them. Their absence from the game is definitely felt.

2. I think most people are right on target as far as additional characters go. Reptile, Johnny Cage, Lobo, Green Lantern... that would be an awesome DLC character pack.

3. Doubtful, but maybe after a few weeks they could "patch" some of the fighting system problems.

4. Some classic MK levels would be a good addition as well, I agree.

I have to agree with Mick's sentiment, though... I'm enjoying the game a lot, but for some of this stuff we shouldn't even have to have a discussion about getting it as DLC; it should have been there when the game went gold.

Also, how about DLC that we don't want in the game? No concept art, music tracks, additional "making of..." movies, or alternate bios, please. I'm kind of scared that that's the kind of stuff we're going to get. I want DLC of substance, not crap that doesn't enhance the gameplay in the slightest. We'll see what happens. For some reason I can't see us getting any new characters, but I'd love to be proven wrong.

I would really like to see Goro. He was practically the first game's mascot, so his absence from an "All-Stars" roster is particularly bewildering. I guess it's because of the whole "4 armed fighting is hard to mo-cap and program" thing.

I DON'T want Reptile or Mileena. What makes this game's engine so great is it's all about making every character stand out play differently. I want characters who will feel as unique and fun as possible and when I imagine playing as Reptile...Fights like a ninja, spit (ordinary high projectile), force ball, slide (Sub-Zero's)...or Mileena...probably fights like a cross between Kitana and Catwoman, sais (ordinary high projectile), tele-kick, roll (which Kitana has now)...I just think "Wow, that wouldn't feel any different from characters we already have".

Johnny Cage and Kung Lao are the first two names that come to mind when I think of who would stand out really well and be extremely fun in this engine.

...To be completely honest, the characters I want most, the ones I would give a kidney to get, are Kenshi or Ermac and a cyberninja. (but not Sektor, Luthor already has Sektor's moves)

I actually loved the concept art in the last three MKs, but if I have to pay for it, then I guess I agree with you. Still think Aquaman is very likely, but we'll see. And alt costumes? I'm confident in my heart of hearts that will never happen do to reasons explained in the color-alt thread.

The the rest of you guys seem to have really high hopes. Expecting more than one downloadable character from each side is very ambitious. Some think Quan Chi might be downloadable, but I think Reptile is a more likely choice. For one thing, Quan Chi looks exactly the same way he did in the last three games; I would hope whoever is downloadable would have a fully redone model. If that did make quan playable in a redone form, they'd aesthetically contradict the story mode. And if they're starting from scratch, why not just make a more popular character, especially since an additional DC character would require that anyway.

Even if that is true, they had all the MKDA models and movesets in MKdeception, but notice how NONE of those characters were playable. They gave us no hidden characters over MKDA hidden characters. I would think the same would apply here. MKA is the exception only because is was a compilation game in essence.

I can't believe I forgot about that one.

Add:

1.- Alternate costumes.
2.- An extra fatality for everyone (and the bosses please).
3.- More arenas.
4.- New and cool story mode cutscenes with the new characters.

3. i agree with the fact that they may not have many more guys on the dlc only because the cost and the time it would take them, we all know the guys at mk are one shot wonders they never seem to add anything or go above and beyond after they are done with it
3. johnny cage would be a good fit, seeing as how HE IS IN EVERY MK GAME EVER ........ plus the story is taking place between mk1 and mk 2 in the mk universe

In all honesty, I'm not expecting much from DLC as far as characters go. Probably just Quan Chi and Kung Lao for MK.

Quan's model is in the game already, and he already plays a part in story mode. Odds are they'll put him in and (if it's possible) give him his own chapter to explore.

Boon will probably throw in Kung Lao because Boon wanted Kung Lao to be in it. And we all know how that goes...

Realistically, this is what I see happening. How I feel about it, however, is another story entirely.
