Truth be told, every MK character is a keeper to me. They all have endless potential. So, no one should be dropped.

Kill Shujinko!!! No one else bothers me that much. They should keep Ermac, Jade, Kabal, and Li Mei for MK7. The rest I don't care much for.

Separate smoke from noob, kill kobra, daroui and mavado, keep ashrah and li mei, and bring back kano,cyrax(and his mk3 freindship) and rain.

From Deceptions roster the only Kira and Ashrah. Only these two I like character and storywise. The other new characters have a lame look and lame storyline.The rest of the returning characters from previous MKs are pretty cool. I would like to see them again soon. I would list past MK characters that I would like back in in MK7/ future MKs right now, but i am too lazy( its 11:38pm now).

Stryker (in depth)
1. Stryker should have a totally revamped look. He should look less like a New York cop and more like an elite S.W.A.T. team member. He should look kinda like "Bayman", in his alternate from DOA3, except Stryker should look less muscular and have some sort of black mask covering his face. He should have an assault rifle strapped on his back, some gernades strapped to his right thigh and a taser gun strapped to his left thigh.He should also have some combat boots.

2. Stryker needs a new move set...
First move: Stryker's first move should be like Jax's gun move in MK:DA except Stryker should hold and point the gun more proffessionally.
Second move: Stryker should be able to pull out his taser gun and electrocute his opponent like in his MK3 fatality except it wouldn't kill his opponent. It should work kinda like Scorpion's spear except instead of pulling in his opponent it would electrocute and leave them stunned for a while. It would also have a long range.
Third move: Stryker's third move should be like his original bomb throw in MK3, except it would have two versions. The first would be the traditional explosion. The second would be a smoke bomb. Instead of hurting the opponent, the smoke bomb would burst into a puff of smoke and cause the opponent to cough and stumble around, kinda like Noob-Smoke's "stinky cloud" move in MK:Deception. In order for the opponent to be able to tell the bombs apart, the regualr explosion bomb will glow red when it's in the air, while the smoke bomb will glow green while it's in the air.

Other than Stryker...
-Bo Rai Cho. Bo Rai Cho was a "comic relief" type character, but now it's time to get serious. Instead of vomiting, he could pour out some alcohol from his liquor canister to make the opponent slip. Instead of farting, he should hiccup. Bo Rai Cho really has potential, I'd hate to see it wasted
-Frost. Frost needs to be completely original the next time we see her. Her moves should be unique and ice-related. Her look needs to change too. Her outfit could have some kind of sacred armor from her ancestors, like Sub-Zero.
-Sektor. Sektor should look different than the other cyborgs. His flame-thrower fatality should be changed into a regular move, like Scorpion's fire breath from MK4.
I'd also like to see Kai, Nitara, Fujin, Sonya, Drahmin, Reptile, and Kintaro...

MK7 Characters....Well, first I have a question....do u guys think Shao Kahn shud be the NEW bad guy AGAIN....i think he shud...and this is how i think the story shud sorta go...i dont have a lot of ideas for every character, but if i do, i put a lil description on how it wud be. U also noticed that i put none but 1 new character in the list and this is because I think that classic characters are better and sometimes new characters are useless....so i think this wud be a cool cast....and i think that bringing back and leaving characters behind and stuff is dumb, so they need to stop getting rid of and then out of no where bringing characters back.....heres good ones
ALSO, they need to start bringing in so many useless characters that arent ever going to be used again, like Kai, Jarek, Hsu Hao etc, thats y i only added one new one becuz its obvious that fans like the classics..............
Boss: Shao Kahn: I think it wud be awesome to see Shao Kahn as the boss again. He has been the best boss ever created in the MK World. The way he could return is like what happened in Havik's ending. Havik would be the one who brought him back.
Sub Boss: Shadow Priest: I always thought it would be super cool to have one of Shao Kahn's Shadow Priest to be a sub boss.
Quan Chi: He can be one of those characters that is really beat up and has no type of help. The earth warriors wud wanna kill him, and Shao Kahn would too. He can be the one that begs for mercy and the one who everyone is in search for.
Mileena: She shud DEFINATELY come back! She cud have kidnapped Sindel and Jade, killed Kitana and Baraka cud have gone to Shao Kahn's side. She also had taken over the Edenia as a tyrant. But now that her formal ally Shao Kahn returned, he wants her to give Edenia to him. But instead Mileena fights against him and she has no type of allies. This would lead to her death in the hands of Shao Kahn, for being a traitor.
Baraka: He now has a new master Shao Kahn and is enemies with Mileena. He can be the one that is sent to find Quan Chi and bring him to Shao Kahn alive so that he can pay the consquences.
Kano:
Kira: She had killed Kobra in Mortal Kombat and she's the new member of the Black Dragon. Her mission is to kill Sonya Blade.

Kitana: Kitana's arrival to Edenia was devastating. There was a new ruler Mileena, who killed her. Mileena sent Kitana's body to be burned forever and now Kitana's spirit wanders around. Sindel attempted to kill Mileena for what she had done to her realm and Kitana, but instead Mileena was killed by Shao Kahn. Since Mileena was a clone of Kitana, they had similar blood. Kitana would be able to transfer her spirit into Mileena's corpse and live once more, but with Mileena's hideous face. Now she would have to worry about getting her realm back from Kahn, and making sure she doesn't get killed since she has Mileena's features and Mileena had many enemies...
Sindel: Sindel, Jade and Kitana arrived in Edenia but were attacked by Mileena. Sindel and Jade witnessed Kitana's death and were tied up on top of a pit. Rain rescued both of them but Sindel wanted to kill Mileena. Sindel went back to the palace and challenged Mileena in Mortal KOmbat, until Shao Kahn interfered....
Sonya Blade: Sonya's soul was back to the way it was. She needed to recruit new members to the Special Forces and she met with Kira, who pretended she was interested. Kira lead Sonya Blade into a chamber where she confronted the Black Dragon alone.
Liu Kang: After finding out that Mileena had killed Kitana, he was aiding Sindel into hunting her down. However Kitana had already entered Mileena's corpse so when Liu Kang and Kitana met, he thought it was Mileena and he attacked....

Scorpion: He was what you call a "hero" and he was out to kill Quan Chi. He found Baraka with Quan Chi and demanded to have him, but Baraka refused becuz he was given orders to bring Quan Chi to Shao Kahn. There, Quan Chi attacked both Baraka and Scorpion and escaped.

The dairou, darrius and hotaru story should not be resolved on a normal mk game. Do somethin like a shaolin monks for it. Dedicate a konquest like game to that situation. But without the poor gameplay of konquest.
Characters i want to see are ermac or kenshi, frost, nitara as well as possibly damien, kira, tanya, mavado and limei...
There should be a new red dragon member, unless their feud is going to be played out in a seperate game. Or unless kira is really a red dragon member, which is a possibility judging from the huge amouts of red she has, and that cunning attitude she seems to hgave.
There should be returnin characters wlike rain and kitana as well.
As i said, damien should be given a spin as well.
Sareena should return to continue her feud with quanchi and the other members of the brotherhood, esp since noob was revealed to be original sub, who she clearly had affection for.
Quanchi should return, as he has a lot of scores tos ettle and a lot of scores to be settled weith him..

Hotaru should be kept alongside with Dairou, they are now too important to leave out. MAybe in MK7 they will finally fight each other, since Dairou never leaves a job unfinished, and Hotaru is a religious order fanatic. The two would battle it out. Also, Dairou should be on a mission to kill Darrius, who would not be in the game, or may be already killed by our little merce-nary.
Bo Rai Cho: yes, he needs to get serious. But keep the vomit attack, and make him more aggressive.
Shujinko: definitely keep! Remade of course. A black, charred and ripped, he should be back to stop Raiden, after he didn't manage to kil the last spark of life in him. One style for him, and the other should be always the opponents first or second, or switch between them in every round.
Hey, if the fan submission gonna get back, I'm going to post the remade Shujinkos look. It kindda scary. Ripped black chinese clothes, and half of his torso is scarred. He would act more colder, and have a few specials of his own. -gee, while Shang Tsung would copy anyones look and special moves, but keep his own styles crane/snake, then Shujinko would copy the fighting styles and few of the specials, but only those what would make sence: Ice blast, yes, but from where the hell should he shoot out a spear?
As I mentioned, Tsung should be back. Oh, and we already had a Shadow priest for a boss, Shang TSung is the leading priest of the order. Remeber the MK3 and MK2 endings and intros?
Mavado- he will be back, since he is Sonyas greatest enemy.

Rain, unoriginal and he didn't had a deep storyline. Also, he was just a palette swap ninja, to get as much new faces to the roster in MKT for completion reasons.

I agree but maybe impove Dairou too. I mean I like the Samurai look. Also Ashrah should be back and Kira's ending should come true.

I think that the next MK game should focus in Earthrealm warriors again. No more Edenia, Outworld, Demons, Cyborgs, these things.
I think that the Elder Gods itself would bring a great menace to Earthrealm and only the Earth Warriors could fight.
So bring back Kai, Jax, Stryker, Sonya, Sub-Zero, Scorpion (there is no MK without him) Fujin, Shinnok (all powerfull this time please), Dark Raiden. Only earth against gods.

all i can say is Dairou, Darrius, and Hotaru need to go away. they are nothing but fillers in MKD. unless Midway decided to make there story more interesting and has something to do with the MK world, then im fine.

They need to make Bo' Rai Cho more serious! In MK:DA I HATED HIM! He had a HORRIBLE plot and ANNOYING moves...im MK:D they solidified him as a necessary character, if they got rid of him now it would be like dropping Kitana or Kenshi...plus his story line now is a LOT better...just end the farting and puking moves and I might actually LIKE HIM!
They need to stop bringing back Baraka - is it just me, or does anyone else find him obnoxious and annoying? He reminds me of the retarted school bully.
Kobra - either make him IMPORTANT or KILL HIM! (They should make the Black Dragon important again - was I the ONLY one who noticed they were bystandars the WHOLE GAME!?)
Shujinko - either give him his own moves and beef up his plot a little or drop him

Plot Suggestion - The MK Games with the BEST plots were MK, MKII, MK3, and MK:Deadly Alliance & Tournament Edition...why you ask? Because the bad guys were in the final steps of taking over the realm(s)...in MK: Deception and MK4 & Gold the baddies were trying to FIND something so they could EVENTUALLY take over the world - they seemed to unorganized to be scary...you managed that well in MK: Deadly Alliance, because the Amulet played a small role - but in MK: Deception the Kamidogu ARE SO ANNOYING! GET RID OF OBJECTS THAT AID THE BADDIES!

Well, out of the characters in MK: Deception, there are a couple that I feel that should be dropped and never come back, namely Tanya and Kobra. I still found Tanya's storyline to be boring and useless and I just don't like her. The same goes for Kobra. Even though he's a pretty good fighter, his storyline is really lacking and I feel like he doesn't belong in MK. Maybe in another fighting game series, he'd fit in much better, but MK, no.
Kira is a character that I don't really like too much though I feel that she does have some potential and I have a feeling that they are going to keep her in at least a couple more MK games.
I like Shujinko though I feel that they might not bring him back. Then again, I could be wrong.
Dairou is another character I like in terms of look and gameplay though to me, his storyline needs to have so much more in it. Perhaps it would've been better if they went with his original storyline idea (the one from MK: DA that you get in the Krypt).
Mileena and Baraka were characters that I wasn't too crazy about in this game though I'm not saying they suck or anything like that....I like the direction Mileena's storyline went though I'd like to see a lot more to her storyline.
I liked the Noob-Smoke idea. It put a nice twist. However, like many of you here, I too feel that they should be separate characters. I'm really interested in Noob Saibot's storyline and hopefully, I see more from Smoke.
As for characters that I'd like to come back (aside from the ones from MK: D), I'd like to see Sektor, Sareena, Rain, Sonya, Kung Lao, Kitana, and maybe even Quan Chi and Cyrax.
to cartmansp: I like your ideas about Stryker though I feel that even with those ideas, he still doesn't belong in MK. Perhaps in another fighting game series it would work, but hey, it's just my opinion.

Definately bring back Tanya, she should return as she is the best female in MK and they'd be crazy to drop her, she is the biggest baddest bitch ever. I love the Judas idea and she is just fantastic. If you ask me, all the other girls are boring in comparison. She has a storyline connected with Jade so the two of them should return to keep that going. Didn't she used to be close friends with Jade? I love it when good people turn evil (Willow in Buffy as another example), its so unnerving and fascinating.
Ermac should stay but not Kenshi. Throw Kenshi out. Li Mei, I think she should also go. She is just not needed and completely useless. She was only brought in DA as a replacement for Mileena anyway but she is back now. Ashrah should come back. She is good. And Kira should come back.
Out of the guys. Sub-zero and Scorpion definately. Raiden come back as evil, and fight it out with Fujin. I think nightwolf was greatly improved in Deception and should return as with Kabal. Baraka. Well he is alright but maybe he should not return. Drop him. You can drop Dairou, Darrius and Kobra as they are a complete waste of space. Bring in some better characters. I agree about noob Smoke, seperate them and bring in Smoke but NOT Noob.
