This honestly, is the first interesting developement in scorpion's plot in a long time. Believe it or not, I am actually excited about Scorpion for once.

I don't think the Elder Gods were happy with Raiden's interference towards the good side. They might use Scorpion for evil to balance it out...

I reckon they will send scorpion to aid in the battle against the dragin king, but they need a
reward for him, as knowning scorpion he wont
do it with out something that he wants, so i think if scorpion does there mission the gods will give him his gight with quan chi

Whatever it is they want from him, it’ll be something for good most likely. Unless they decide to play some sort of dangerous game and have him do something evil. He could have been appointed as some sort of protector of something and he could have a new mission to protect someone or something. Scorpion isn’t the type to just do something some wants him to do so whatever happened, he must have stricken a bargain that allowed him to gain access to Quan Chi or more power to destroy him. Quan is his first priority. He'll want to deal with him before anything else.

This is kinda from out of left field, but what are the Elder Gods doing in this "void"? I have a suspicion that they are not the Elder Gods and that Scorpion is being deceived.

why get his fight with Quan Chi, if Scorpion achieves the goals set by the Elder Gods, he could be reunited with his family, or eliminate the fact that his clan was destoyed in the first place. And if your theory was right that the Elder Gods were upset over Raiden's interference on the side of good, perhaps they could send Scorpion to kill Sub-Zero. It would balance things out, and would explain why they are listed as each other's foes.

I'm putting my money on his mission from the Elder Gods is to help in the defeat of the Dragon King. Not sure what he would get in return tho. Increasing his powers to help him rid himself finally of Quan Chi is the first that comes to mind. Or somehow being able to get his family back would surely be a great reward for his help in the defeat of the Dragon King.

well I think he has to assassinate the dragon king or maybe try to stop shujinko from doing it. maybe that is why they are foes in their bios. All that I know is that I would lay a hefty price on the elder gods for the assistance of a hellspawn. you know he could probably request a few things such as his family and clan to be revived and quan chi brought to him to destory once and for all. also his new outfit gives him a more elegant look than his last one. it has more gold in it than his last one as well...which im not too sure i like but for the most part its ok. also he knows the teleport move again and he could say that he wanted to be more powerful so they gave him that and a new style lol. just blurtin out stuff as it comes to my head

Maybe Scorpion saw the Elder God's and was overwhelmed by their presence that he decided to change his ways. Kind of a stretch but if you were to meet ur maker and the maker of your world, you would probably repent.

Another idea for a reward could be to give mortality to Scorpion and let him live a normal life once again after he kills the Dragon King.

Maybe the Elders intend to annihilate him on the spot.

I believe the Elder Gods are using Scorpion as a tool to defeat the Dragon King. In Raiden's profile it states that he had sacrificed his god powers to create a blast to kill the Dragon King. The Dragon King was unaffected and Raiden was lost. The Elder Gods would suspect a power coming from the Dragon King and it could be destroyed by using the Kamidogu.

The Elder Gods will probably make a deal with Scorpion to be reunited with his family if he went on a quest to destroy the Dragon King. Scorpion would indefinatley accept this mission and search the Outworld for the Dragon King's power.

Shujinko had searched for the Kamidogu for nearly sixty years and he would see to it that he would retrieve untill the Kamidogu he dies. Scorpion would be sent on a similar quest as Shujinko and the both warriors will become rivals on retrieving the Kamidogu.

Scorpion would put his quest for revenge at a halt as he carried out this deed for the Elder Gods for himself. One day Scorpion would be reuinited with his family.

If it is a deal then I would think that Scorpion's part would include that he would be reunited with his family or possibly his life given back to him. However I do not think the other part of the deal is to destroy the dragon king. The Elder Gods have never cared about threats to the universe, Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn, Quan Chi, Shinnok, and I dont believe they will start with the Dragon King. It even states in MK Mythologies that they watch countless numbers of worlds created and destroyed and yet they never interfere. Whatever the deal was, its something only Scorpion could or would do.

I agree, why would the Elder Gods care about the DK if they didn't care about anything else that was a threat to Earth? My guess is that the Kamidogu or whatever is a gateway to the Gods and they're afraid the DK will get it, so they want Scorpian to retrieve it and bring it to them, and they're side of the bargain is to have Scorpian kill Quan Chi, then reunite him with his family. They don't care about Earthrealm, but if they're in trouble, they'll do anything to save themeselves.
