There appears to be red webs of energy below the platforms you would probably remember fighting on in Deadly Alliance. More than likely a Death Trap. However, in Deadly Alliance's extra material, you find out that there are lower levels to his fortress, so perhaps it'll be a multi-tiered arena :)

As for Quan Chi's fortress...It still looks pretty cool. I dig the pillars and what not. I definitely hope it's multitiered and utilizes that glowing dome for the death trap. Hey, maybe we might be able to knock people into the part that Drahmin fell into! That be an interesting stage fatality; what would come out after someone's knocked in there, I mean.
PS: Does anyone think it's weird that Quan Chi's level is in the game, complete with his NAME in the title of the Arena, but he, himself is nowhere to be found? It kinda makes you wonder if he's a superunlockable. I've been banging this drum for a few days now, and I'll say it again, I think Quan Chi will be one of the super unlockables. Will he be updated from MK:DA? Doubtful. Maybe a new alt outfit or a new special move at the most, but I doubt it. Still, he was one of my favorite characters in MK:DA, so here's hoping he returns!

Hmmm. Quan Chi is and isn't gone at the same time, that is if Midway chose to follow Drahmin's ending, since they usually seem to pick and choose which ones they want to continue into their next game. Quan Chi would essentially still be around, in a way, since in Drahmin's ending he and Quan Chi fell into Quan Chi's inner sanctum and came out a new being. That's what I mean when I say, Quan Chi is and isn't around at the same time. So who knows. I just wish they'd bring back Rain (you probably guessed by my avatar choice he's my fav).

I've read in at least two different places that one of the deathtraps involves watching your enemy get shredded by a grid of lasers. If this is true, than I'm willing to bet that whether or not Quan Chi's Fortress is multi-tiered or not, that red web crap is a bunch of beams that alter your limb arrangement a bit on the way down.

Remember back in July when someone mentioned a death trap that involved lasers? I think its a web of lasers that dice you if you fall off the edge.

Everyone knows quan chi and shang tsung turned gay after shao kahn violated them with his mallet from mk2. So because they cant shit right after that massively bloody ass-raping SEXUALITY, they killed kahn to try to get back some pride. They are both wimps who got smacked by an even bigger wimp (kung lao) and a wet, whiny, high maintenance bich (kitana). Ill bet those lasers are to poke other kombatants up the ass
