No this is the same Sub-Zero as in MKDA.

It'll be in the final build. They forgot about it in some promo renders and naturally everyone made a big deal about it.

Subzero 6 is grandmaster of the linkuei The one with the dragon amulet.
The less powerful subzero is 5. in the lin kuei as well.

I like 5 better then 6 just because there is no scar

I agree they need to tone it down and kill off all but one of the subzeros IMO I think subby 6 should die and subby 5 should pick up the dragon amulet and become the replacement of subby 6 I would like that, no scar same moves different character. It would rock. Some may disapprove the scar part because some have grown to like it on subby 6. come on midway give subby 5 a chance to show what he is really made of. Maybe there can be 2 dragon amulets and subby 5 finds the other one and both subbys can fuse into one. Not like noob smoke. They will turn into one character. We can call him Subby Ultimate He wields twice the power of subby 6 and doesn't have the scar. Ahh I would enjoy that.

After decidin he didnt want to be automated by the Lin Kuei, he was marked for death...hence the red scar.

Um, nah. I don't know where you got your information from, but it is completely inaccurate. First of all, concerning the main six MKs, there are only two Subzeros. The older of the two died in the first mortal kombat, as he was killed by Scorpion. The other Subzero is the same character we've been seeing in MK3, MK4, MKDA, and MKdeception. There is only ONE Subzero left in the MK story.

And for the rest of you guys, fans of Mortal Kombat like to use the term "scar" very loosely. All we know is that Subzero was marked for death in MK3. We ASSUME the bio was reffering the red mark on his eye(Also, note that the phrase "marked for death" is a verbal thisthingisdisabled, which was taken literally by we the fans). So in all truth, there really is no evidence at all that this colored stripe on Subzero's face is a scar(with it's color, shape, and width, the evidence points towards the contrary).

Hell, for all we know, he paints it on his face every morning after he brushes his teeth.

no,no,no.... that would be so unoriginal. you watch too much DBZ. sub-zero the 5th died by scorpion and he has not returned from the death since. there is only one sub-zero and that is it, the younger brother of sub-zero the 5th is the one we all know and love. i would be very irritated if sub-zero the 5th returned and they fused like you said in your post.

The 5th Sub-Zero supposedly died after MK1. The 6th Sub-Zero is the Lin Kuei Grandmaster and he does have a scar.

Scorpion killed Sub-Zero 5 in MK1.
The Sub-Zero that we've had since MK2 is Sub-Zero 6. The good one.

Imagine all the trouble in MK3 he would've saved had he just washed off the mark. Cyrax and Sektor are looking for a guy with a red mark of death on his face not someone dressed up like Sub-Zero. So it's official that he's an idiot.

lol, that's a hilarious post, but I don't necessarily agree. The cyborgs probably had his biological information programmed, from his facial features to his DNA coding.

Ok someone needs to go over how there are 6 sub-zeros and where in their storylines did they say this is the 6th sub-zero to bear the name etc.

As far as i'm concerned, there are only 2 sub-zeros. The first one was killed in MK1 and in MK2 his younger brother took up the uniform and was spared by scorpion. He's the one we've had since.
