What will your reaction be when you first play?

So how will you react? And what will you do?

For me, I’ll be shaking with excitement as I put the game disc in and watch it load. I’ll be sat glued to the screen as the intro comes on and I find out what’s happening in the MK world and see some if not all of the characters. I’ll be so happy and grinning eagerly from ear to ear as they appear onscreen and as Raiden narrates. After the intro finishes I’ll be so excited and thinking of so many different things at one and I’ll be eagerly pressing the start button frantically until the menu comes up. I’ll either go to Konquest or Arcade first. On the character select screen, if it’s like MKDAs, I’ll be highlighting each character to get a full view of their outfits and then finally coming to rest on Raiden if he’s in the game and selecting him. And then I’ll begin playing!

Pretty much the same thing as you tgrant...but my friend and I are freaks and always go the options menu first thing in EVERY game after the intro LOL...

Then onto Konquest I go...I don't want to go to Online Kombat until I know how to play, heh.

LOL! I always go to the options menu first too! So I guess I may break tradition this time and look at the characters on the select screen. I probably won't but, we'll see. lol

I'll tear off the plastic covering, open the case, read the manual, blankly put in the game, and start playing, like I do with all my games.

So all in all, my expression will be the same as always: blank.

Xenosaga and Metal Gear Solid 2 were the only games that I remember that got me really excited upon making final physical contact with them.

No not at all, it has on-line capability which is evidence as why it may not come to GC, since nintendo is so reluctant to host on-line games, (Gc is online capable so don't say it is)
Hopefully I'll enjoy the game, I may take a hammer to the disk, though that seems doubtful.

as long as the story and fighting is good i'm gonna love it like i did all the other MKs even though some sucked worse than others i still loved them all i don't think anything will be different about this one

The first thing I will do is pay for it. Then maybe take it out of the cellophane. And look at it. Then go home. When I am home I will rip off the EAS tag. Then open it up and read the book cover to cover. yes even the credits and the warnings. Hey, somebody's gotta read it. Then I will look at the game for a while and decide to slowly put it in the system.

I'll just boot it up and start playing all modes and then start getting screen grabs for the site wich Murdoink will like!smile

Well I live in europe also but my PS2 is chipped so I shall get it about the same time as the U.S Residents. I did once travel over 400 Miles to get MKDA, As in I took a train from where I live to London to get the game on release day (200 miles) and then the same journey back (200 miles). now thats madness.. I wonder if i'll do the same this year!? wink

When i first play it i will be real excited but when i get into a match my mind goes blank, thats what happened when i first played MK:Da. I was so happy with it. I cant imagine what it will be like with this game.

When i get it i'll get my ass kicked cause im gonna run everyone off the tv so i can play and knowing me, there will be no tv what so ever for about 3 days lol when i got MK:DA i was up for 3 days straight playing that one and my older brother literally beat the hell outta me lmao

I usually only have a strong feeling of joy once a year when it comes to video games. That special day in August when Madden comes out. But......this year, Madden will be a speck on the map as compared to the day that MK:D comes out in October. I'll get a lil feeling of satisfaction as the game is placed in my hands. I'll call all my MK buddies and have a tournament on my newest toy, the 61" HDTV that I picked up just yesterday. It'll be a week of beer, pizza, foul jokes and MORTAL KOMBAT!

First of all, I'll probably gaze at the player select screen for an hour. Then I'll see what the characters look like in their highlighted positions with my icon. I'll probably be in my room for hours at time on release just checking out the combos alone.
