That's just fucked up. As for Kobra, I think it's awesome that he joined the Black Dragon, but they could've made his special moves a little better though. His apperance is 10 times cooler than Cage's, I also think it's awesome how the Mortal Kombat team decided to add a kickboxer to the game. Right, you cant, because he actually only died ONCE in Mk3, and probably he died in MKD.
Technically, Cage never died, that story was poorly fixed by Vogel in MKDA when he revealed to us that Johnny Cage actually died in a movie he was making called MK: The resurrection of J.C
The problem is, most fans dont realize this detail. The team never wanted to kill Cage, but because the actor who played him in Mk1-Mk2 did some stupid commercial, he upseted Midway and was fired, reason why he was not in Mk3 (they had to kill him).
Its still unclear who truly died in MKD. The storyline has so many plot holes, we only know for sure that Kitana was killed and resurrected.
So, Johnny Cage never died, but if you actually want to count the times he did die, its only 1 2 if he actually died in MKD. But does that matter??? Scorpion has died twice as well, and his story was crap until MKD, so .I dont see whats the big deal.
Now that I taught you guys some brief MK history, back to the subject:
I choose Johnny Cage over Kobra any day. Like someone said, Kobra is so insignificant when compared to Cage in every single aspect.
Johnny Cage is one of the main originals and heroes of the game, he plays a huge role in the protection of earth in the story of Mk, weather some people take him seriously or not.
His look, powers, fatalities, even story is 100% original. He is better then Kobra.
Dont get me wrong, I DONT dislike Kobra at all. Actually, I like him a lot. I love his psycho story, he is like .a crazed sadistic psycho guy. His alternate kicks ass (his primary look is too simple and too much like Ken kind a lame).
Kobra looks like a 1-2 time game character. Another Hsu Hao.
Johnny Cage looks like a character that will stay in Mk for a very long time.
