Lui Kang is most likely a hidden character. If you take him out of the select 24, then that leaves just enough room for Darou, making the set complete.

Being his condition, he doesn't seem like a default character as it is.

I pray for God everyday hoping that turkey boy would never ever come back to MK and that rumor is all wrong. the only reason I like Shang Tsung and Quan Chi is because they finally finished him.

I agree with you. I could care less if Liu Kang comes back. I really, really hope the SOB ain't in the game. Iam tired of hearing his mouth/screams in past MK games. I never really liked him and I won't lose sleep if he ain't in the game.

I also think he will be revealed later to all as Shang Tsung in morphed state.

I wonder why everyone hates him so much. The fact that he riles up so much attention is evidence enough that he's been ever so dominant.
Pretty much every returning character to date has had an upgrade (in some way or another). The fact that he has yet to have one (the red bike kick in MKT does not count!) is again evidence that he doesn't need an upgrade! He's powerful enough as it is.
I get a weird feeling that once MKD is out, and assuming that Liu Kang is indeed in the game, all those Kang haters are inevitably gonna be drawn to him, beyond a shadow of a doubt! They're the ones that are gonna start threads like "Man! Liu Kang rocks!", or "does anyone know how to do his killer combo", or something like that.
Sure.....I'm probably gonna get flamed for this, as well as all Liu Kang fanatics. But we'll see what happens when Deception comes out!
