Which MK:DA characters need to die/stay dead?

MK:DA had a lot of great characters, and a number of great, new characters, but this aside, there are a few in dire need of a pink slip.
1. Jonny Cage - For Gods' sake, can this man stay dead ONCE!? The nut punch was cute, but his blandness in MK 5 is evidence of lost luster, let's just have him sit out a round, mmmk?
2. Bo Rai Cho - Okay, every single fighting game series has now done a Drunken Kung-Fu character. Are we happy now? Good, now you can kill him.
3. Li Mei - Okay, so in MK:DA they needed a sai-wielder on short notice and Mileena was currently dead, that's fine, perfectly understandable, let's just not let it happen again...
4. Frost - I actually liked frost quite a bit, from her look to her moves set, but with her plot pretty much played out, albeit poetically, there's a number of cooler ninjas (*cough* smoke *cough*) that can take her place.
5. Reptile - He looked ridiculous in MK4 and making him a bad Lizard Man rip off didn't help things. He should end up the reincarnation of the Dragon King and final boss of MK 6: Deception, though, so this is thankfully in the bag.
That should about do it. They are some other useless characters like hsu hao, but they're too minor to stand a chance of returning, these are the ones that pose a threat and need the axe NOW.

none why? no matter who you take out, there would be pissed fans so they should try to put in as much characters as they can

I DISAGREE, there are many wariors that have to go becose they just don`t fit or are here allready to long....or leave them out for the next game but not now

just keep the best and make place for new ones

I'm fifteen now so when i first played MK 1 i was really young i grew up with characters like Johnny Cage, Sonya, Scorpion and Sub-Zero if there was ever a Mortal Kombat with no orginal characters I probably wouldn't play it would feel like a compelty new game. And Johnny Cage is awesome.

my 2 cents:


Bo Rai' Cho should REALLY go, along with Hsu Hao and Jax. I really disliked them at MkDA. HAted their fighting styles and weapons.


Bring back my old favourite ninja's and give subzero for cyring out loud back his mask standard and not by a alternate costume!

Stay dead: Kano, Shang Tsung, Hsu Hao... and perhaps Scorpion (and come back in MK7)
Die: MoKap
Not Come back (dying or not): Perhaps Bo' Rai Cho and Sonya or Jax.

The rest... in the MK6.

yeah im the same age too, the original characters grew on me, the characters in mk and mk2 were like my whole life when i was 3 i woulden't play another mk game if they werent in it either.

Dude, Cage has only died once! Why do people talk like if he kept dying and coming back to life like if he was Scorpion?

If somebody needs to stay dead for once I say Scorpion. It takes the fun out of a character if you know he can die 5+ times but still comeback.

MK wouldn’t feel right without the originals. If you take all the main characters from the first game out, Mk wouldn’t be Mk. It just wouldn’t work.

This are the originals, the “MUST” ones that made Mk be Mk:

Sonya
Johnny Cage
Rayden
Scorpion
Reptile (in any way he is suppose to comeback)
Kano (maybe, I think its time for him to go and let the Red Dragon be the main clan)
Shang Stung (maybe, if he is not dead)

Classics from Mk2:

Kung Lao
Jax
Sub-Zero
Kitana
Mileena

its no point of keeping them i WANT new ones its nice to have some old ones but there have to be more new one`s...

and yes johnny has to gow he has no story what am i saying he has nothing thats worth talking about

i agree with ephorror 1000%. i couldnt have said it better.

instead of making all these new senseless characters, they need to bring back some old ones!

noob
rain
ermac
kabal
ninja smoke

at least 3 of these guys need to comeback. nearly all of the new characters they released in mkg and mkda were useless imo. kai, lei mei, jarek, bo rai cho, etc. etc.

I would like to see all the gay warriors all just die of sars or sumthin

-hsu hao, li mei, bo rai cho(de),JC and i kant think of nebody else yet

-dont resurect Liu kang he perfectly fine sleeping on the clouds blowin endoe or sumthin.

- bring back Noob Saibot, Smoke(human and robot as 1, 2 diff costumes), kintaro (playable), mortal reptile(robot would be kik ass too) he'd half to hav a cool quality though likehe's a ninja with like reptile skin i dunno sumthin besides all da play dull ninjas.

I've had a change of heart. Get everyone from all the MK's (no duplicating though 1 scorp 1 sub ect.)
then everyone will hav there fav character in it and only ppl will complain if they want guys booted (comeon if we dont stick ^ for Bo Rai choda who will, Eh?)

Personally, I want Quan Chi to go, because I'm sick of his clown-looking self. But, due to the outrage of fans if that might happen, that want is lessening as I type....

If Midway thinks as I do, with the character die and fans go ballistic thing, then when the final boss(whether it be the Dragon King or whatever) dies, and Reptile was indeed possesed by DK, it'll just show the DK explode and Reptile lying unconscious and then they'll capture him and all that. Hey, that just might lead to MK7, where Vampires try to invade the realms, since Nitara was the one who lead him to the Dragon Egg. Hmmm....

I think Sonya and Jax are overexposed in the MK universe, we don't need both of them. There stories are way too similar, both special forces, both investigating outworld, both hate kano, both are going after kano, both endings usually similar. Jax having metal arms was ridiculous to begin with, they should just give him army fatigues next time or something, he looks too goofy. Either that or Nix both Sonya and Jax, Mk2 did great without Sonya, and MK1 did fine without Jax. Mk3 stunk, and Mk4 stunk, MK Deadly alliance, they just filled up space that 2 other fighters could have taken.

Johnny Cage should have more to do with the story in terms of being Lui Kang's friend and avenging him, rather than just make him want to do a movie.

Cyrax should be gone or atleast upgraded to look like a human with the robotics underneath skin. Would also be cool too see metal under his torn skin with his facial damage.

Rain and Ermac should stay dead, they were pointless to begin with.

Motaro needs to stay dead.

Jarek stay dead.

Kai should stay dead or change his look and moves.

I really like Shao Kahn! He was my fave character, but I think it's best if he stayed dead.

Also, I'm so sick of Scorpion! Kill him already or stop killing him to bring him back!

Hsu Hao needs to die.
