Being oldschool myself, I personally prefer Shao Kahn as the Emperor of Outworld. I personally don't think that Onaga and Reiko are better choices, as Reiko's plot is practically incoherant and he doesn't seem to be that strong of a character, while Onaga just doesn't seem to be very popular overall.

I personally love the character and style of Shao Kahn, and I would love to see a canon match between him and Onaga for rights the Realms. I think it's about time that Shao Kahn's story gets on track after all of the nonsense the character has gone through recently. In MK2 and MK3, the character had a very well-defined purpose and a decent backstory. After being absent in MK4, he's then "killed" in MK5 which sets the whole "clone story" into motion that continues into MK6. Then MKSM comes along and just blows the MK2 and MK3 storyline apart and changes some things that shouldn't be changed.

I think Shao Kahn needs to become the Emperor of Outworld yet again in order to at least get him back to doing what he does best, which is attempting to conquer realms. However, I believe it would also be acceptable to see Shao Kahn fighitng to become ruler of Outworld again.

However, since this current MK story arc is "over," there's a chance that Shao Kahn is done for. I hope this isn't the case, but if so, it's been fun...and when the storyline hopefully gets back on track in MK8, maybe we'll see a suitable replacement for Shao Kahn.

I like both kahn and onaga equally. However i'll pick kahn because i have more history with him growing up.

Kahn...Play Konquest. Watch the scene near the end. three of his worst enemies in the same room with him and he didn't even break a sweat.

instead of onaga and reiko, how about shao kahn sees the light and turns good while lui kang is turned into the ultimate weopon, for evil by shang tsung

Forget Shao,Onaga,Reiko and hello Shang tsung Lol he was the MK1 main boss and he is apart of kistory i say vote for him for the ruler of outworld,plus he so darn evil and not give up on getting rid of people so yeah give the morphing shang the title! heehee
