Actually, I like Mileena better but Li Mei is looking very very very good!

I'm smelling a whole deal of potential in Li mei this time. As far as clone issues, let me say:

Mileena, Kitana and Jade are not clones of each other since the 3 of them were introduced at the same time at the same game, the sad part is they were all alike, Mileena being the best IMO, and Kitana the worst.

Li mei is no where near of being a Mileena clone. She has the sais, but thats like, no fucking big deal since we have 300 more characters that use some same specials or even similar fatalities. Li Mei did took Sonya’s Mk4 cartwheel kicks but still she came with her own story, moves and stuff.

She is no Mileena clone.

I think I'm going to love Li Mei in this game, her costume looks badass!! She looks even better in blue then Kitana!!!

Li Mei looks amazing, but Mileena is better.

Now, Mileena and Kitana....definitely Mileena. More potential, better story, better moves, better at everything. Kitana is just....boring next to the clone.

Mileena is better.. i dont feel like reading every post on this thread..so im not sure if this was addressed, but im sure some 1 said something like li mei is a clone of mileena or something about clones...anyway the ONLY REAL CLONE IN MK HISTORY IS JAREK.... no 1 else in mk history is a clone just JEREK is a clone of kano...im excluding sercret characters like smoke im just talking about the regulars... jerek is the only 1....but even human smoke had different combos then scorpion had in umk3-mkt...

I like Mileena better. I like the way that she hides her true form underneath her grill. Being a clone of Kitana dosen't mean that she just Kitana w/a new look and story. I didn't really like Li Mei but I liked her ending in MK:DA and how she was tricked. Her look in MK:D looks cool. Having the DK Army suit over her and having her clothes as well. Mileenia still looks better.

I think both look awesome in Deception.

Mileena was just great in MK2. People say she is a klone of kitana, well, it is true, her story line says so, so i don't understand the moaning here. She was a palette swap?? well, so were Scorpion, Subzero, Reptile or Smoke in MK2 and no one complains here, so...
Regarding Li Mei in MKDA, i couldn't help but think of Mileena the first time I saw Li Mei, i'm sorry. In my opinion, there were too many coincidences: the sais, the purple color, the energy projectile... Fortunately, she looks great in deception. Her dragon king's army suit looks cool as hell, and she'll become one of the best you'll see.

To answer to the question, i stay with mileena. :)

Mileena is without a doubt better than Li Mei. I never got to grips with Li Mei in DA, however I didnt really like any of the new fighters from DA apart from Kenshi and Nitara. I think I'll probably like Li Mei alot more now, she looks cooler which will probably mean I choose her more.

Mileena may have been just a palette swap in the old MK games, but now, as with Sub Zero, Scorpian, Ermac, Noob and Reptile, she has been given her own unique design and flair, and will no doubt play completely differently to Kitana in DA. Plus she has one of the best MK storylines, being a clone and being with Baraka . Rock on.

Li Mei wuz a filler character for Mileena in MK:DA, jus like Kenshin wuz for Ermac. Now all four of em iz in Deception. How movesets will work out I dont know.
I like Li Mei better. She had more combo potential, but I cant judge seeing az I neva played Milleena in 3d(havent played MKGold).
Dis topic should be reserved for when da game does come out. It should have only been made if either Li Mei or Mileena wasn't confirmed, in which we would could voice our opinions on how they would match up, but since BOTH are in da SAME game why not wait and see what new moves they will have?

Nothing personal against Li Mei or anything, but Mileena has got my vote. Ever since she came out with MK2 She has always been my Second Favorite female fighter, next to my all time favorite army chic that is. Mileena has got it all, Speed, Power, and looks that kill....literally!

How is Mileena a copy of Kitana? They both started out in MKII, so how do you know which is the copy? Or even if her idea was taken from Kitana or vice versa?

Both Kitana and Mileena are far to different to be considered copies, IMHO. The only thing they have in common is their costume designs.

Well, Mileena IS Kitana's clone storyline-wise so technically she is a copy lol.

But anyway back to the topic, I'd take Li Mei over Mileena any day of the week.
