Most of us want Kabal back, mainly because he's very original and played well in the previous games. He also has a interesting design as well.

SubZero is already in MKD. SubZero's Shredder look is alright. His ponytail look is GAY.
Yes, I really want Kabal back! And, I'm glad that he is back! Kabal is one of my favorite MK characters of all time.

Not me. No offense to anyone, but I think wanting Kabal back is very hypocritical.
People don't like Johnny Cage because he was a dead character. People don't want Liu Kang because he is a dead character. People don't want Goro back because he is a dead character. Now when they tried to kill off Kabal, people want him back even thought they now have Mavado who had a more interesting plotline than Kabal. I think they're really going to need to write hard to come up with something interesting for Kabal, and a way to explain after getting his faced knocked in by Mavado and his prize and joy taken from a mationless body, he still manages to survive.
BTW Grimm, don't you think your signatrue might be a bit premature, I don't think Kabal is 100% in yet, I think the only evidence is a line of text. I think everyone should wait for some kind of solid confirmation like screenshots or an official statement from Midway 100% confirming it.

People like Kabal a lot more then they like Movado. You are the only one I see who actually likes Movado. I hate him since i'm a Kabal fan. And I would have to say that if they saw it while they were AT Midway, I would say he is confirmed. No offense.

yo you know who youre the only person that i know that likes mavado and plus kabal had always had a great storyline mavado i think hes one of those charachters that they put just to fill up spaces and people have alwayse liked kabal even after people knew that mavado killed him(which i don think he did)kabal had always had great moves fatalities and he was cool even dou hes only been in umk3 mk3 and mk:t and know in mk:d
Theyre picking alot of fighters that didnt get alot of attention when they first came out.
Ermac
Noob Saibot
Sindel
Mileena
Baraka
Nightwolf
Kabal
They all werent very popular when they first appeared. I think alot of good characters were in the shadows of Liu Kang, Sub Zero and Scorpion. I really want Rain and Smoke to come back.

I'm not doubting people like Kabal, that is all fair, but Mavado has the better storyline, IMO. The Red Dragon vs. a vigilante. Mavado's storyline just blows Kabal's out of the water. If Kabal was never left with the respirator mask or the hookswords then he would have never been popular.
And yes Midway slipped it out, but I just think everyone saying he's confirmed is a bit too extensive right now. I think we should wait and see. Midway might have just slipped out the name with no intention of implying anything. I would say he is 90% likely to be in. Midway could have just been using him as an example (or be teasing us).

Why would you say Mavado's a filler? He only had the most involved storyline in the game. The Black Dragon, the Lin Kuei and the Special Forces. There are so many possibilities for his story. What was Kabal? He was in there for one game, probably to try out an idea.
I never said I liked Mavado, I just said he had a better and more interesting storyline, IMO, that could really become something. I dislike Kabal because when I played MK3 he and Kung Lao bored me, plus I remember thinking to myself he was a pretty lame character. Deadly Alligned Kung Lao changed my mind, let's see if Deceptive Kabal can do the same.
I just hope they really explain how Kabal came back to life, because I find it real hard to believe Mavado whooped Kabal, then took his prized weapons, then let him live, let alone Kabal survinig. We'll just see what the MK Team comes up with.

Who cares about storyline?
Kabal is the more menacing-looking and more MK-fitting character.
People don't play MK for its storyline, even though it's there. People play MK for fatalities, blood, gore, gameplay, crudeness, and characters. If storyline is in there, it's dead last.
When was the last time you played a FIGHTING game for its storyline over its characters?

I don't like Kabal, I've never liked Kabal. He was a cheap chasracter with cheap moves and cheap combos. And his fatalities were the epitamy of what I like to call "cartoon fatalaty". Meaning you could turn on a daffy duck cartoon and see something of the same nature just with no blood. The only reason anybody liked him or Sindel is because both of their combo's in MK3 were easy to do and had high damage.
I don't mean to "flame" anyone that likes Kabal, that is well within your right to do so. But, I think there are other characters they could put in besides him.

I like Kabal because:
1. His Tornado-Spin special move was OVER-THE-TOP, and HYPED up!
2. His dark, phantom-like aura owns most MK characters.
3. His hooks fit him very well.

I never really used Kabal's combos, and I never thought that they were cheap!
But, since Kabal is back in MKD, all of you Kabal haters must eat it for lunch. No offense.

Thank you, Mr. Boon for Kabal!

Who cares about storyline? Well I'm not sure about you but without storyline you can't have a game. What good are fantastic characters if you have no reason to have them?
More MK fitting character? Is that why he hasn't been in any MK games since? Kabal might have looked cool to some, but his face looked like a robot horse's to me. I would argue other-wise.
People like the gore, sure. But if that's the only reason you play, maybe you should be out watching horror movies or something. If that is the sole reason for playing then I don't blame all the news reports on how it is excessively violent. The violence should be second, because if that is what people get addicted to, it may not exactly be as healthy as salad.
When I say storylines, I mean the characters stories. By that I mean the reason each character is there, and by that I mean that each character has to have a reason to be there. I would say they are closely linked. You need a storyline to have characters and vice versa. Fighting games should follow the similar style to movies. They are action packed, yet tell a story, and be fun to play. MK delivers all of that, why take a piece of that out? If you play the game for the characters, you play it for the storyline.

Is kabal even dead......there is no proof of it except mavado taking his weapons.....I mean there is no main ending to the games so u cant follow endings so I mean he isnt really dead........
and anyway Kabals story is great and he is a cool looking character.

That's your opinion, and you're intitled to it. But it says Mavado snapped Kabal then took his weapons in Konquest, which really cannot be argued.
But why would somoen that wants him dead, let him escape? Why beat him up and take his weapons and leave the room breathing? It doesn't make sense.

We never actually said we hated Kabal, we just said we disliked him. His moves were unoriginal, as where his Fatalities.
I really don't care whether or not Kabal's in or not, but they really need to expalin how he survived Mavado's assault.
