Ok my list:

eazy, groy, alexe, are top 3. Norub is my boy and I think hes done for now and jaded to. Blaze has a good sareena for sure but his other two wouldnt put him up there imo after playing scorp and noob. 456 are hard to say. I know for a fact that pig, and I are somwhere in the tier between 4-6 and then there is Ghost OPZ who is a formidable dude.

Yeah, also I know NORUB is somewhere in the 456. And I cant include MKF havent had enough games but you got a good style. Furthermore, Red is also very good to. Its just hard to really say answer these questions excluding the top 3 as mentioned before.

Im guessing all scores could be done through the tier list but who would bother. Im sure right now the guy at MKAC is shitting a brick cause all of us are coming out of the wood work to post here. I really do like this site also.

Indrid, speaking of the top three; I got totally beat down last night (20-3). I don't play him that much but whenever I do he shows me a totally new perspective. The dude is a monster and it'd be good to play him more often. As a matter of fact, I wish I could play him at least once a week. The guy I'm talking about is 'EazytoBeat'. The last time I played him was kinda back in Jan and I played a respectable 10-5. But Man! He has truly turned into a monster and I couldn't touch him for the first 10 matches.

I wish I could play likes Groy and Alexei more often because that's the only way I'm going to improve. You sometimes lose a series you know you could have won but all these guys have knocked me the funk out the very few times I've played them. EazytoBeat is so damn fast he almost makes he look like I'm playing in Slow mo and he's in bullet time.

eazy's entire offense revolves around jumps. just punish the jumps.

trax i am usually on during the day cause i go out in the evening. But i will be on weekends more now so try to catch me fri night.

Doohoo. He is not dumb. If you punish the jumps he doesn't jump as much. His offense doesn't totally rely on jumps. He can fight on the ground too!

Im just speaking from the last time we played. Just adjust your defense to compensate for any changes he makes. I cant really explain adaptation or pattern reading, but it will come with experience.

You're right about pattern reading. That's an essential key to winning against a tough opposition. Trying to punish a smart player's habit is not really going to work because they adapt so fast.

I remember on PAL folks used to accuse me of jumping, then they'd try to uppercut me with weapons while leaving themselves open on the ground.

I think there's a correlation between IQ and good players. I wish I could research into it. Anyone wanna be my lab rat?

@Trax....I dont think there is a correlation between IQ and gameplay. But it is an interesting thread idea...have everyone list there IQs as best as they know it...lets see where it is. IMO there are other factors...(motivation for playing, lag, amount of experience, importance of being good, etc.)

I feel Eazy is the man. He adapts at a rate that seems to far exceed anyone...plus he can do shit most people cant do. Now I dont mean lag enables him to do what he does...I have tried some of the combos he pulls off...I see him do it...and my firs instinct is "THATS IMPOSSIBLE" ...but then i practice it and I realized its damn hard...but its all possible. He just has TOTAL command of his characters and a great understaning of the game and the characters...that combined with his ability to adjust and read his opponetn makes him to me the BEST.

I am curious what Eazy himself thinks. I also would like to hear his comments on how he pulls off some of his combos.....I am banned from Twinland..so coudl someon please PM him over there so he can chime in with his oppinion.

u will never get a feel of what people can really do, because it comes down to reading ur opponent (YES) but u also can only react to what u see.

example, is this jorge jov guy... he is so predictable.. but his conn makes him so safe it dont matter what he does, cause 90% of his attacks are safe. so online makes this guy look good, but play him offline and he would get raped like no toom, same goes for pnaper and bangedwarrior..


i would 100% say that offline, i would rape these guys 10-1 everytime even with there kak.

@ Mav: I agree! There are several factors defining a great player. I brought IQ into the equation because some seem to think a hell lot faster than others. I love seeing people not running out of ideas even when stuck in a corner.

Motivation is also an important factor. However, there are people who just can't get any better regardless of how hard they try (Well, maybe that's not completely true) but somewhat true if you go back to school days.

@ Red: Why do you always have to factor in connection. When someone is truly skilled, if you're smart enough you'd just know they're classed competitor even if the lag is in slow mo like in DOA4. So stop using lag as an excuse as the reason some people are better than others and just acknowledge their skills.

Why the heck do cry so much about lag anyway? THIS IS ONLINE PLAY MAN! You're never going to get perfect connection so get over it dude. So it's up to you to factor that in when you play and adapt accordingly. We can't all leave our lives to come to your house just to play you locally. Maybe you should try your hands on DOA4 and see real lag.

at this point in mk, there should be no think, everything should be dont by reaction. ur counter attacks should come out without haveing to think, they just come out from reaction.

if u dont think connection plays a huge part in this game u relly are clueless. when people can do a move and jump away or ss with out being able to be countered, thats not skill and never will be.

offline gameplay, when u missed something it misses cause u fucked up. online when u miss something, that should land, and it costs u 30% damage, thats not skill, thats the differnce between a win and a lose.
