I hope it's Sub-Zero. But since Liu Kang is back it very well could be him. Either way I think one of those two is that person.

Actually..the reason why Scorpion spared Sub-Zero in MK2 is because Scorpion discovered he was not the same Sub-Zero he killed in MK1 and that this Sub-Zero is a more merciful one. Scorpion vowed to protect the younger Sub-Zero as restitution for killing the older Sub-Zero. However, in MK4, Quan Chi lied to Scorpion, telling him that Sub-Zero murdered Scorpion's family and clan so Scorpion broke his vow and tried to kill Sub-Zero.

From the way things seem now, Sub-Zero and Scorpion are no longer enemies of each other and they seem to have a common enemy (Quan Chi). Sub-Zero and Scorpion could make a great team but I don't see that happening since Scorpion is very independent.

It is possible that Sub-Zero will be the new Chosen One and I think it'd be suiting as well. However, it'd also make sense for Kung Lao to be the new Chosen One but I don't think he'll be in MK: Deception.

All I know is in kabals ending of MK3 is said HE was indeed tyhe chosen one.

Im goin with ben. When Liu kang beat shang tsung he was fairly young so i cant see inexperiance being a reason why he cant be the chosen one.

Also from first impressions,Ben seems to have a very shallow story line so him being the chosen one would give him a hell of alot more depth.Which he seems to need, where as other more established characters dont.

We have a new villain,so why not a new hero?Hopefully Ben could be a young gifted fighter with extreme raw ability.

Liu kang was murdered in mk:da to symbolise a change in mortal kombat's direction so i cant see them making him the hero again.Plus I think Sub zero is getting to old.

Liu Kang wont stay dead because this game isnt based on reality and the developers obviously think that Liu Kang has a purpose. My second note, Im hearing a lot of theories that the chosen one is the custom character, but I dont think the custom character has any relevance to the MK storyline.

well for one, it cant be bo rai cho, he isnt from earth so i dont think the elder gods would pick him. could be nightwolf as someone mentioned earlier since he is a sacred individual and had helped his people from the initial attack on earth that shao khan made. ashara might be a possibility but i doubt since she is a demon slayer and might have her own agendas. for sonya, kenshi or ben (which we dont know much about at all yet) they are also good possibilities.

u do know some stuff but what u havent heard obvisouly while is while scorp was watching sub zero fight during the second tournament he witnessed him spare some ones life and scorp realised this wasnt the sub that killed him so yes he did spare his life..................BUT when scorpion and yea the older sub zero faught scorp defeated him BUT only spared his life because he got a feeling.........
sub could not b defeated because he IS THE CHOSEN ONE
