Most likely; Sonya. Iconic characters will probably include the untie MK1 cast. Maybe not Reptile. Kano also might not make it too (but he is my favourite character).

Most preferred = Mileena. Good characters are good... But evil, seductive, half-mutant psychopaths with a big row of nice happy, shiny teeth get my personal vote.

This is not just because she happens to be my favorite female of the series. It's based on the fact of what Boon said: The most Iconic characters of the series. Sonya was the first ever female in Mortal Kombat.. and she made her debut with no other females in the game. She became popular to use in that first MK game because people found that they could stay in the game with her. Also, though she's been stripped of it for a while now (still upset about that lol), she owns one of the cooler signature moves to have been displayed in the series with the Leg Grab. Also, when you think "Mortal Kombat Female" ...in MOST cases the first character that comes to mind is Sonya (with Kitana in other cases) But not really Mileena so much. I think Sonya fits the "Iconic MK Character" bill rather nicely.

Now don't get me wrong.. I love Mileena as a character. She's another fave of the series for me. I'd love to her in. However, I'm thinking that Sonya and Kitana will be the shoe-ins. If they decide to have a third female from the MK series.. then likely it will be Mileena (or Jade. Honestly I can't see any others making the "iconic" cut).

How is this even a question? Amongst MK fans, who's more popular is debatable. Amongst non-hard-core-MK fans, I doubt many of them know who Mileena is! And those that do, run web sites like Mileena's Isle (which refuses to accept the fact that she's half-Tarkatan).

Outside of MortalKombatOnline.com, the chances of people being a Sonya fan are FAR GREATER than the chances of them being a Mileena fan.

Plus, Sonya was in the original movie, Mileena was in like 3 minutes of the suckie sequel.

In short, despite the fact that she continually becomes more and more scantily-clad, Mileena's chances of being in the game are far lower than Sonya's.

If Mileena makes it into the game ahead of Sonya I'll be shocked.

Kitana's is 3/7 not counting upgrades (UMK3, and G).

Boon even stated that both Mileena and Kitana were the equivilants to Scorpion and Sub-Zero.... he's stated that they've become the two most iconic females.

I have never liked Sonya after the first few games. And I was a kid when she was my favorite. But that's like 10 years ago.

Who knows, all 3 might make the cut don't expect that many females. Kitana I'll bet anything will be in there, Mileena and Sonya not sure.

I prefer Mileena. Sonya is just a boring character imo, I will hardly use her if they include her in the game.

What's with the "which one of these two characters are gonna make it in" threads? There's like... 3 or 4... and half of them have Sonya in the title! LoL, leave her alone! We all already know her chances of making it in are pretty much the highest among the females!

Now, Sonya and Mil are pretty much my favorite characters, and I'll be so delighted if they both make it in that I might just buy this thing!

Um.. the many "Sonya threads" don't mean she's hated at all. If anything, it means the opposite, cuz so many people are including her in the "characters that should come back" type of threads. I just guess she's in people's minds more often than I previously thought.

And on the contrary: on these types of threads, Sonya always has lots of supporters, which is not surprising but nevertheless nice to read.

She's just getting some hate, she's getting some praise but my point is she's not "as loved" as some people might think.

Like I said, personally I have no beef with her. She's just one of those average characters in my book, not horrible, not the best...she's a good average character overall...

In that other thread, there's quite a few Sonya haters or people who prefer Mileena or Kitana over her.

This whole "who is the most iconic female" discussion has been going on for quite some time now, and throughout the many, many different discussions surrounding this, I've seen people prefer Kitana over Sonya just as I've seen Sonya prefered over Kitana, and maybe I missed some of the discussions, but I've yet to see Sonya being "hated on" more than Kitana, on the contrary, I've seen plenty if not a higher number of posts favoring her for different reasons that I've seen of Kitana, Mileena, or otherwise. It would also just be stupid if everyone loved the same character, that's never happened before and never will.

If you don't mind Sonya like you say, why try to smudge her name, especially in threads like this that keep asking which girl is the better one? If you got a problem with her, then I'll be happy to consider it, just as all her previous supporters will.

I'm not burying her down, lol trust me you'll know when I'm putting a character down. Like Cage, Mokap, Bo I utterly hate and feel are overall pointless characters among a few others Hsu Hao is another....Sonya I have no problem with, I'm just saying I can understand why some Kitana or Mileena fans can like them more, they're not exactly bad characters in the MK universe.

Like I said, as far as I'm concerned dude I feel both Sonya and Kitana are very iconic. Personally, I think the whole "comparison" of this iconic character vs. that iconic character is dumb and pointless to begin with, especially Kitana and Sonya of all female characters.

I think Mileena would definately make a better addition to the game and I think she is a better character to represent Mortal Kombat. I feel she brings the stuff that both Kitana and Sonya lack.

But I think both of them, one being the first female and the other the first female villain, have great chances at being included in the game.

This (I hope non-canon) game or not, Mileena deserves another chance. I'd like to see her again in the future.

This is true, Mileena brings certain things to MK that Sonya nor Kitana do. That's why I love her, 'cuz she's the first/best female villain in Mortal Kombat, has the psycho-bitch personality, and is scary and sexy at the same time. I hope beyond hope that Mileena will be in the game along with Sonya.

Like you said, if there were two characters I'd love to be in the game over any other, those characters are Sonya and Mileena, the first female and the first female villain. Both characters are iconic, but unlike Sonya and Kitana, Sonya and Mileena are opposites that bring the best their personalities have to offer to the MK universe.

Also, the MK Team should never leave out Mileena in the future installments after the success she's had with Deception.

I mean Sonya kinda lost the lead (in my opinion) to Kitana cuz of allover not bieng in enough. I never said Kitana was in more games. to me Sonya just isn't where she should be.

Even though I think Kitana is more popular then both of them, I think I'd rather see Sonya then Mileena. Mileena is nothing more but an "evil Kitana" more or less, interesting but not the most appealing female MK character IMO

Well, I'm pretty sure that if there are only 2 females from the Mortal Kombat side, they will most likely be Sonya and Kitana. If they HOPEFULLY add a third female, that spot will go to Mileena.

Personally, I'd rather see Mileena because her character, look, attitude, sex appeal and storyline offer much more to the video game. I do believe that Sonya is much more iconic though. I'm just hoping that there is room for both of them.

Lately, Midway has definately been using Mileena as their cover girl for Mortal Kombat which raises the possibility that she might get a spot in the game. She's just very marketable and it seems as though this game is strictly on selling selling selling...Their intent was probably to "please" fans with Mortal Kombat Armageddon and using MK vs. DC as their big new money maker. Especially because the new Batman movie is coming out and after people watch that and see Batman posters and Batman cardboard stands promoting a MK game, people are gonna want to buy it. Mileena has that "marketable" sex appeal/look...I remember when Deception came out and I'd walk down the mall and pass by the video game stores, Mileena posters were definately drawing people's attention.

If people see Sonya now and look back to MK1...there isn't really a WOW factor anymore...She's pretty much the same old chick and people will recognize her, but thats it, nothing to talk about. (unless they ReALLY do something drastic to her for this game). Now, when you compare Mileena from her MK2 debut, you can definately see a wow factor. She looks better than she did before, her teeth are more noticable etc etc.

I just REALLY think it'd be awesome seeing Mileena in this Unreal Engine. Just imagine her in that "upclose kombat" feature...you'll be able to see her teeth and her mouth doing all these crazy gestures..she also has all those weird grunts and yea...just exciting to see.
