I agree most definitely ^ Mileena has been given a major push and I seriously doubt they're going to leave her out. Besides, if the list of 'Jax, Kabal, Kitana, Sonya, Rayden' is true, the same person who posted the article also stated on the realmmedia forums that there might be a chance that the roster will be increased due to the lack of villians. Mileena is an essential character, IMO

I think I've said this before, but it bears repeating; I pray that Mileena makes it into the next game. There's just no character out there like her, and after 7 games and 2 re-inventions, that's a hard thing to do! IMO, she kicks Kitana's ass any day of the week ^_^

Like EN said, it would be awesome to see Mileena be a part of the new graphics. They definitely need to keep the translucent veil, that's pretty much the best article of clothing any MK character has ever had, lol. I love it how you can just make out her fangs.

Hopefully, if they do include her, they'll play more on her psycho-bitch personality and make it reflect in her moves and the way she carries herself in a fight. I can totally see her taking chunks out of her enemy in Klose Kombat, or flinging herself like a predator at the poor saps who fight her.

IMHO, next-gen MK needs Mil. If an MK game has Sonya and Mileena in it, I'm probably gonna buy it even if it plays like MK1

Actually, you know... Thinking about it... the whole "close Kombat" thing they're introducing really does open up some pretty nasty ideas for Mileena. I mean, being as ruthless and animalistic as she's been shown to get from time to time, I think she'd really rip an opponent to shreads quite easily.

Well, she's always been a fave of mine and now I'm actually even more excited about the possiblity of her getting in to MK vs. DC. Personally I don't see why they can't have 3 girls from the MK side. I doubt it'll just be two. Mileena rocks and she should definitely not be left out.

I said the same initially about the girl fighter limit, but speaking as how Midway/DC are only going to have 20-22 characters, there really isn't that much room for lots of females. They have to be selective in general given the balance of both series of characters, with females it's even more crucial when it comes to female selection since most fighters are obviously guys.

Actually.. with a 10 or 11 member cast from each side.. I don't think 3 females is at all unreasonable. Infact I think that's light. Besides, (I know that it usually IS but..) who's to say that the ratio between Males and females (in this or any other fighting game) HAS to necessarily favor the males of the series? Point of fact.. Most females introduced into fighting games out class a good number of the males in the same game. They get some of the best moves, usually tend to have ridiculous speed and get cool looks design wise.

So yeah.. I don't think that 3 females is alot (out of the number of fighters given) at all.

haha. Well the anticipation is pretty intense and the thing that got me really excited about this game WAS the "upclose kombat" feature and the clothes ripping and tearing. I instantly thought, "wow, how cool would it be to see Mileena's veil fall off during the battle or seeing her lick her fangs/teeth through her veil."

Theres really really cool stuff that can be taken advantage of with Mileena using this new engine and a lot of those cool features can't be done with other females from both the MK side and the DC side.

For some reason, I have a HUGE feeling that Midway brought all this up to their attention and really analyzed how they could adapt their characters to this new engine. Hopefully they chose her over another female. Now I'm thinking that if its 2 females, it'll probably be Mileena and Sonya.

In the games total, 3 isn't a lot given both sides in total will have 5 or 6 probably....but for just MK's side I think it is actually. I mean, I don't want Mileena taking up a spot of someone better like say Smoke, Ermac or maybe Quan-Chi. Someone like that. I mean....honestly, she's cool but not that cool and I'd rather have Kitana and Sonya over Mileena.

Yeah, the male over female is obvious in any fighting game yes. That's why it's important for them not to go "nuts" with female characters. Just a few, and that's it. There will be more guys then girls anyway....

I'm just a bit curious... why is it exactly that fighting games, this one inparticular, HAVE to be/SHOULD be male character dominated according to you? (now maybe I'm misunderstanding what you said..it's possible.) I mean is it a personal opinion, or are you basing it on the fact that in most fighting games that's the case? Either way, as I pointed out, a good number of the females in fighting games are BETTER than some of the male fighters. So really, 3 females from the MK side shouldn't be considered "too much" Not even four for that mater. Even if they did go with 4 (which, unfortunately is unlikely due to this very way of thinking) that still leaves 6 or 7 slots (depending on whether it is a 20 or 22 count roster) open for the male fighters. Same with the DC side. So there is no reason why we cannot have Sonya, Kitana AND Mileena.

Look, I like Smoke and Ermac just as much as the next guy but the likely fact is Scorpion and Sub-Zero will be IT for the Male ninjas in this game... otherwise a large number the MK side will be filled up with nothing but ninjas. And that wouldn't be right seeing as how there are other interesting characters that deserve a shot at those slots too.

No, I'm not saying "males should dominate" I'm saying that happens in all fighting games factually. That's what I'm referring to. If you count/compare the male fighters vs. female it's obvious to the naked eye that the males outnumber female characters in most (if not all) fighting games. MK is one of them, so I'm saying in a game like this where MK will have only 10-11 characters the least amount since MK1 there should only be 2 females. Remember, this is most iconic right? So, Kitana and Sonya will most likely be in...but Mileena? I mean, she's cool and definitely iconic but I just feel there's other characters in MK universe that are better choices over Mileena.

That's why I feel 3 is too much, 4 definitely too much. If there will be 3, I'd rather have Sindel over Mileena. Just my preference I guess. But from a storyline point of view, Sindel's easily better then Mileena. Mileena is just an evil Kitana, trying to do the same thing over and over.....

I see what you're saying on the male ninja thing, but Mileena is one of the female "clone like characters" too off Kitana. That's another reason why I don't want her in, Kitana was the first "female ninja/assassin" looking MK character, so in that respect she should be the only one in it. No offense to Mileena but she's not equivalent to Sub-Zero, Sub and Scorp have always been in MK since MK1. Mileena hasn't, so I guess that's another reason why I don't want her in that much honestly. I think Ermac or Smoke, not saying both but either are way more popular and iconic then Mileena is honestly. But I guess we'll have to wait and see.

There is no possible way that Sonya would have been left out because shes definately one of the most iconic MK characters (even if theres haters that say her storyline has no depths.) Shes popular, VERY recognizable and both mk fans and people who've played the game at some point remember her or know who she is. Its about time she gets confirmed cuz I'm sure its a good 10 pounds of stress off haha..But yay for Sonya! And 10 times YAY for not making her look fat and buff haha..

Now, in my opinion, I love them both and even though they are clones, they're sooooo different. Kitana has a cool weapon (I mean, steel fans! It can't get cooler than that!) and shes had an essential role in almost every mortal kombat game. However, I don't see the same "wow" factor as with Mileena.

I really hope that if it does come between Mileena and Kitana, I hope Mileena gets the part. Shes so evil, she'll look soooo freaking cool in this new engine and she's proven herself to be the MAIN female villain in the Mortal Kombat series. I know that true Mk fans are proud to have her be apart of the MK cast and I know that Midway is proud of what they've created with her. So please, give Mileena a spot!!!!!

Absolutely correct. It would had been outrageous not to have her in the game! And her story has enough depth and potential to be as firm and important as it is, the problem is she needs a twist, something new to give her a different gaol from what we are all used to. She still maintains her important role in the series.

Mileena would look FANTASTIC!!! She has been given such a primary role in the latest games, and since day 1 she has been an original bitch disserving of the title of main evil female. Personally, I prefer Mileena over Kitana and any other mk female (maybe she is tied with Sindel though, who I love just as much), but Kitana is very iconic as well, and Kitana has a lot of potential...hmmm, if theres only 2 females, I rather see Mileena be the one to be selected (or Sindel).

I truly hope for Mileena, and I cross my fingers to see her, Sindel and Cage in the game! And obviously the already given such as Rayden, and hopefully Tsung.
