Just curious, but why are people talking about Ben possibly being the hero? Last I checked, and I could be wrong on this, but isn't the total amount we know about him: He's a martial arts champion.

So he's won some tournaments etc, that doesn't make him a "hero." Shang Tsung was the champion of MK for several years until Kung Lao came along and beat his ass. Besides, I still doubt that they'd make a completely new character the hero of the game. It would turn a lot of people off to the whole story if the main protagonist wasn't even well received by the fans. I doubt Boon would risk that.

But please God don't let it be Sub-Zero! He already got his own game, he doesn't need to be the hero in this one! I hope it's Kabal, but if not, then Liu Kang will be fine.

Wait a sec. You don't think Sub should be the main character because he's had load of attention already... but you have no problem with Lui Kang taken the position? Sorry, man. I don't follow.

The main reason I want him to be the main character is because he's the only character to appear in every MK game in some form or another. I think the facted that he's the most experienced/developed makes him more than the best candidate.

So I take it your under the impression that Ben is a Cage filler? Well could be, but you should also be prepared for it not to be. btw Johnny is not the hero, he's more the comic relief sidekick. Just my Opinion.

Exactly, especially with his now almost God-like abilities from the Dragon Amulet. He's more of the bad ass hero type.

Hey I gotta agree with the majority of the mk fans that sub zero is molst likely the hero. Specially since it has been stated that kung lao isn't there or sonya or even scorpion (I hope he is but I doubt it). But personally I don't think Liu Kang is going to be the good guy or bad guy in MKD, he most likely will be nuetral like scorp was in MKDA. That's my opinion

Going in it will be Sub-Zero. After the events of MKD it will be Sub-Zero or Liu Kang (everytime so far that he has been in a MK game, he has been the hero).

Because of this i think a bad guy such as Baraka or Mileena will end up slaying the dragon king and becoming a hero for that... but also unleashing a darker evil on the world that must be dealt with in mk7.

i think the hero could be either sub-zero or kenshi, but i'm bending towards sub-zero more cause he's been around longer.

I personally believe that if Kung Lao Returns he will be the lead. There is a good chance that nightwolf may be the man to. But in only my dreams Kabal will be the main hero. I mean come on people he was the new chosen one in MK3.

I'm not fooled. Sub-Zero has been the true hero since MK3 IMO. Maybe it was Liu who beat Kahn there, but IMO in MK4/G Quan takes out Shinnok (most likely), and Scorpion takes out Quan (to the netherrealm. Liu did nothing for all we know. But that's beside the point. Subbie's been the most captivating, popular hero since...well, maybe the beginning. Who knows. He's fought off the Lin Kuei and had his own little soap-opera, he's been the posterboy for MK (along with Scorpion) for ages. He's had the most developed storyline among any of the MK characters, you ask me. Yep, he's a hero.

I'm going to have to say that by all available information plus sub zeros storyline and ending in the last game along with the fact the the Red Dragon clan will be after the Lin Kuei that Sub zero will either be the main hero or an integral part to the whole story of Deception. Besides that I'm personally tired of Liu Kang constantly being the main hero and always the champion of all the games. Its like superman, until DA no one really stood a chance against Liu Kang and he always won. I was glad he was killed but if they bring him back I doubt they'll make him the main hero. Especially with his current split personality/body problem.

I think it wil be Sub-Zero. It would make sense given the his story. Although I would have thought it would have been Kung Lao leading the way. Eevn Kenshi could take the role as the hero.
