I think it would be an interesting opportunity of Reiko to return. I know after the death of Shinnok his clan really doesn’t have any merit in the tournament, but I still think it would be interesting for him to come back.

Maybe a storyline like this.

After the death of the fallen elder god Shinnok Reiko was left to be a nomad (not the race) in Outworld. After the Dragon Kings return he learned that Reiko had a undying malice towards Quan Chi for the death of his master. The Dragon King made Reiko a deal he could not refuse, transport through the realms to exterminate Quan Chi and retrieve the Amulet for him. The Dragon King promised after the amulet was in his possession that he would give Reiko all the information and resources he would need to resurrect the fallen elder god Shinnok.

If someone gets on here and tells you that story sucks, blow em off..cause that story f*ckin rocks.
That would be the perfect story line for Reiko. It fits perfectly into the story.

Thanks libra...this I had one for why sektor could be in the game. I'm very good at writting fan fiction for mk. Unfortunatly that is something MKO rarely pays attention to, but with the fan art looking so pretty who cares about literature.

Thats a great idea for Reiko. I can't say that I want him back because I don't. To me he was just a filler character for MK4 with not a lot of value.

He was sort of a filler character, but he was also an attempt at actually making Noob Saibot a playable character, and I think they did damn good with him. Even though he was just a General in Shinnok's army and didn't really have a good storyline behind him, I thought it was nice to see him in there.

I wasnt to much Into reiko. I also basically saw him as a "fill in" character. The only thing that made me actually look into him was the whole "Reiko/Kahn" thing. I'd personally like it if they just forget about him.

I'd like to see him back, even though he was a noob replacement.

I don't think he'd like being said that "Shinnok" was his master, heh.

Well Reiko belonged to an order which worshipped the fallen elder god known as shinnok, the same order Noob Saibot belonged to. I believe the name was the order of the shadow or something like that.

I would, actually my hotmail address begins by his name...

I think that he was a cool character, and really mysterious. I don't think that the MK team really likes him however(one of the guys at midway said he didn't like him).

His 3-D teleport however was a really cool moves and I would REALLY love to see him return with the storyline said by the first guy!!!!!

Rasalghul, the reason I like wrote that story personally was the possibility’s that could come from it.

1. Reiko could kill Quan Chi take the amulet and betray the Dragon King. Now that he is in possession of the amulet not only go through the dimensional gates but he could also use the Dragon Kings army against him and crown himself as emperor of outworld.

2. He could return the amulet to the Dragon King and be betrayed and killed or something to that effect.

3. The Dragon King could make good on his promise, and help Reiko resurrect Shinnok. But once Shinnok his back he forms an alliance with the Dragon King. He will aid the Dragon King in the domination of all realms in return for assistance in destroying the elder gods thus crowning himself as, well god.

Thanks alot man, I would actually like to start writting a weekly article on the MKD forums with my fan fiction...I was just seeing how this would take off before I did anything.
I really liked Reiko in MK4, he was one of my favorite new characters.

I would like to see him back in action.

Reiko was one of my faviourite characters from mk4..although, if he was to return he would have to have more depth to his story. He would also need to have a more original look.

If what you say about him being a member of that shadow clan who worshipped Shinnok is true, then what if he hasnt been around for a while because he has slowly been rising in rank through this clan and has now become the grandmaster of it,something similar to what sub zero has become. So now he is back having developed his shadow powers and has allied with the dragon king to bring back shinnok.ALthough i think the dragon king should be actually decieving him because he wouldnt want a rival in the form of shinnok to return.

I don't care if he actually returns or not, I just think they should settle the debate about the whole Reiko/Kahn thing. I think it was ocnfirmed that the two are involved in some way, so I hope they clear that up.

I like Reiko, but I think he needs to take the fall, and though I dont mean disrespect to the original posters story, because it is good and I like how it tries to tie in characters (especially Shinnok), but I think it would be more interesting if the following scenario happened, we find out that in his MK4 ending he took on Kahn's helmet and armor and claimed himself the Outworld emperor and later on we find out that Shang Tsung and Quan Chi really killed Reiko thinking he was Shao Kahn, to me this would bring Shao Kahn back because he never got killed, clear up the Reiko being Kahn nonsense that has been around forever and confirm what one of the MK developers said about Kahn may not be out of the picture yet.

Nice story Malice. The Dragon King wouldn't be stupid enough to allow Reiko to bring back Shinnok, a potential threat to his rule. Although with the Dragon Kings power, he probably wouldn't care.

Anyway, I wouldn't want to see Reiko back. His story wasn't good. He was a good character to use but otherwise, he just doesn't seem needed in the story at all.

I have always liked Reiko. Although he never looked terribly original I liked his moves and his style, including the whole Reiko/Kahn debate.

Not to sound negative but I'm not very much into the story you projected. If he was to return, I would deepen the ambiguity with Shao Kahn a little more and explore another scenario than just revenge. Everyone wants to kill Quan Chi ;). Oh and not to be pedantic but why are you writting fan fiction and not writing it? :p

Cheers!

Only if Reiko came back as a maroon ninja.. I could think of some pretty bad ass kicks as I assume he's crazy with his legs AND the only MK character to actually use ninja stars.

His story would just follow the one created with this post.. only to show his secrecy in hiding he would be masked.

I also think it'd be cool if one of his moves was to ressurect dead soldiers to grab the persons legs or even emerge to do attack. So it wouldn't be too cheap you'd have the skeleton emerge in front of the opponent and reach to hold their legs instead of just arms coming out and grabbing wherever they stand.

Ed Boon hated Reiko, everybody knows that. Reiko was a rushed character in MK4 since they noticed not so many new characters in MK4 so they decided to give Reiko all of Noob Saibot's moves and Ed Boon's own face and that was Reiko. I hardly doubt he will return. But believe me, I kind of liked him, but I doubt he will come back.
