Well said. Plus, quan chi deserves to get tortured for a while before he truly dies. If someone killed my family, heck, i would put them in great misery before finishing them.

Scorpion is an inhuman killing machine. It took him three tries to kill Sub-Zero (He was killed in Mythologies, then beaten again in the Neithrealm.) He's not the sharpest tool in the shed. Granted he's not extremely stupid, like Reptile, but he's not a mensa member or anything.

Quan Chi has much more power outside of the Neithrealm. Also look at The two Mortal Kombat games they've been in together. In Mortal Kombat 4, Quan Chi owns Scorpion so much it's sick.

I think you guys are giving Scorpion way too much credit. There are several fighters who could beat him in a fight (Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Shao Kahn, Quan Chi, Shinnok, and Noob Saibot come to mind). Granted Scorpion can take out most but The grand champion of Mortal Kombat, Dieties, Demons, Sorcerers are too much for him in my opinion.

I'm a big fan of Scorpion and an equally big fan of Quan Chi, the fight could go on both side, but Quan Chi at his best will always beat Scorpion at his best IMO

I want to start off by saying that Scorpion losing becaus ehe can't kill Sub-Zero makes no sense. He killed the original Sub-Zero, could've killed the second Sub-Zero in MK2, but chose not. He wasn't after Sub-Zero in 3 and almost killed Sub-Zero in MK4.

Now, I think in a one on one fight:

Quan Chi has thousands of years of experience, sorcery powers, and a manipulative mind. He's ruthless and will do whatever he has to to win. However, I think Quan Chi's real strength is in his planning and manipulations. Not to say Quan Chi is a bad fighter, or he wouldn't give Scorpion a good fight, but I think given the chance, Quan Chi would rather manipulate from the background and only fight when he has to.

Scorpion was trained to be a fighter first and foremost, he has experience, and raw power that gets stronger time he returns to the Netherealm. Also, he has a drive to win no matter what. Also, Scorpion has focus. While Quan Chi also wants to conquer Earth and others, Scorpion is only focused on killing Quan Chi.

So, I say, one on one, it'd be a good close fight, but Scorpion would take it.

That's true, but I see Scorpion being the type of fighter who can use his rage to focus and fight better. Like in Dragonball Z, Goku uses his anger to be a better and stronger fighter.

Oh.....my.....god, you just took the words RIGHT out of my mouth. I was just going to say something exactly like that.

When goku focuses, and is angry at the same time, it makes him stronger, take the freiza fight for an example. The second he transformed, he had a new set of decipline, and was more focused when fighting with freiza. It was not just focus, but also rage that helped him.

I see scorpion just like that. Pure rage, focused, and relitevely smart.

Scorpion IS immortal. He dies, and keeps coming back.

And omg, i dont understand why people keep saying things like "if quan chi was dead, scorpion would be nothing", TRUE, but what does THAT have to do with a 1 on 1 fight? NOTHING.

Save the stories and such. This is just a fight. And IMO scorpion would win because hes stronger and more dreadful.

Apart from all this though, they can easily change scorpions story and make him go a different direction. If he manages to kill quan chi once in for all, boon could think of a new story and there you have it, scorpion stays.

No, because Scorpion was brought back for revenge and that's it. That's what he is determined to do. Only reason he came back was because he heard Sub Zero was back in MK2.

He was brought back for revenge, but i'm talking about afterwards when he finishes his goal. Characters stories change, and ed boons favourite character is scorpion. When scorpion is finished with quan, ed could think of a whole new different story for him if he wanted to. Lets pretend something like this happened.

- Scorpion kills quan chi.

- He is commended by raiden, and raiden decides to restore him and his memory. Scorpion is now human again, and his memory is back. He remembers his family, and his clan. Scorpion then decides to rebuild his clan all over again, kinda like the lin kuei. Scorpion could now fight for the sake of good, or he can be neutral.

Thats what i mean. Ed could easily come up with something like that.

You have a point Dark Noob, but I think it's time for Sub Zero, Scorpion, Johnny Cage, Sonya, and Raiden to finally die. They have been in too long. It's getting quite annoying.

Scorpion is Ed Boon's favorite character and he has one of the biggest fanbases of all the MK fighters.

I assure you that Scorpion will be here for a LONG time.
