I agree with you there bro. Certain characters like liu kang and johnny need to die and stay DEAD. I wouldnt mind if we saw an end to sonya or jax either. Also, scorpion needs a huge story change, though he does have great potential IMO.

I think he does too. Sub Zero, doesn't have much more anymore. He has this whole Red Dragon thing going, but he's getting old. Scorpion could have a better story. It was cool at first, but now it's old. And you can't make him human, then you have to change everything about him. No more spear, no more fire, no more toasty. Wouldn't be the same. If you ask me, there time is up. Although I like them, the MK1 crew is finished...

scorpion and sub zeros story lines have been pretty quite compared to jaxs,liu kangs,sonyas and johnny cages...

there role wasnt as important to mortal kombat as sonyas or jaxes or lui kangs....
so...they have a long time to go...


they both have great potential in story lines like the one stated b4 about how scorpion starts his own clan up again that is a great idea...

other charecters like johnny cage i feel will b killed off very shortly in the series...sorry johnny cage fans but there is no more story for him!!!!! he has been played out his story has stopped...

So basically in this fight we have the following:

Scorpion
1. Aggresive nature/battle style
2.Immortal..and will haunt you forever
3.Draws power from when he dies growing endlessly stronger
4. A real brute force

Quan Chi
1. A very good planner and often tricks people into his bidding like scorp in mk4 etc.
2. His magic strength returned once left from hell into the world.
3. Beat scorpion in a one on one fight in the acid bath and kicked him into it.
4. Has to oni guards that slayed scorpion

Well heres the thing..if there was anything around to get you killed then Quan chi would win hands down, but if were talking about a fair arena match of pure strength then i beleive Scorpion would win.

Quan Chi.

Scorpion has already died officialy 2 times. (and so much more in comics)

He always goes back to hell.

He never completes his mission.

He was even defeated by the Onis in his ending (if it happened)

So yeah, my vote goes to Quan Chi.

First of all Scorpion IS NOT immortal. He is undead. There is a big difference. He can die and he can come back as long as the Netherealm beings(that made him and resurrect him) allow him to. otherwise, if they wanted to, they could make his soul rot forever.

And Quan Chi did not kill Shinnok with the amulet. It was Earth's forces that (probably Raiden) that killed the Ex elder god.

And you scorpion fans are only going by favorites. In the Netherealm he has control of the fight. Outside, And as strong as Scorpion is, cannot beat Quan Chi. Someone posted here that Shang Tsung feared Scorpion in the 1st tournament. That's bull!!

I dunno anout someone else but i said he was kinda feared to take him on in DA because he waited for the fight to finish and then the mission about if quan chi died. heck if a ninja spectre came to my house id be scared to.
