if it will be me vs some one, Rain will win, but since Scorpion is Boon's fav ( and the Game will be Biased) Scorp will win.

Goku would win. Rain and Scorpion would team up and kill Krillen and then they would be all like "Now we can decide the tournament between us!" Becuase they made a deal under Ed Boon's desk. But they didn't see Goku. Who was filled with Emo spirit and turned Super Sayian.

Hard to say. First of all, which Scorpion are we discussing...pre-retcon or post-retcon? Because pre-retcon Scorpion was a competent fighter whereas post-retcon Scorpion can't fight for shit. We should also bear in mind that we know very little about the extent of Rain's training and combat experience. All we know for certain is that he's bit of a coward. And even if he did confront Shao Kahn as his ending implied, he required a suicide tactic that obviously didn't work.
Answer: Rain lures Scorpion into a building full of gasoline and goads him into using his "Toasty" move and the both die.

Anyways, Scorpion will perform "TOASTY!" on 'Scorpian' for impersonating him. Then, the spectre kills Rain. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Link and Zelda perform a tag team fatality on Scorpion. The end.

How exactly is this the "ultimate showdown"? An ultimate showdown would imply that the two characters were related in some way, which any fool would know they are not. Rain and Scorpion's storylines have never crossed paths so what would spark such as battle? Scorpion, overused ninja spectre turned champion of the Elder Gods. Rain, underdeveloped purple ninja with little backstory and a fanbase full of blabbering idiots. I'm more than certain these two characters battling makes perfect sense... almost as sure as I am the US government promotes a free and equal society.
People wonder why everyone outside the MK community looks down on the franchise... the large majority of its fans have the collective IQ of a tomato.

This is the kind of garbage that clogges up the boards and when someone posts a worthwhile thread about the gameplay mechanics or the storyline it sinks to page 2 fast.

i cant decide who would win they are both my favorites sorry owen-pwned but scorpion would win scorpion and sub-zero have always been the main badasses of the series.even though i like all of the ninjas.

Here's some advantages/disadvatages.
Scorpions Advantage's:
Better Fighting Skills.
Blackheart when it comes to his enimes. So he's prolly more eligible to pick up the pace.
Will not stop, untill he finishes what he started.
Spear.
Teleportation.
All his battles/rivalry's have been epic encounters.
Scorpion's Disadvantages:
He uses fire.
The spear isn't always acurate. (Showing to us in the first MK movie.)
He's eligable to get himself traped even if it's for revenege. (Examples: Moloch and drahmin. Shang's Soulnado.)
Rain's Advantages:
Can obtain Rain.
Can obtain Lighting.
Can manipulate rain into things such as a mind control orb.
Can teleport as a water mineral form. (As we seen in his MKA video.)
Unorthodox style.
Rain's Disadvantages:
Not as hellbent in spite of martial traning.
Prolly less focused in the fight.
Less favored in regards to popularity.
More set on attacking, then an actual strategy.
That's just what comes to mind.
Maybe im way off, maybe im close, maybe im dead on.
Just from the time of knowing them is what i kinda gather.
For reasons such as scorpion has fought some of the best.
And rain was pretty much a smuggled in child with no real contact with his father.
Also rain has'nt been in any clan's or anything thus far that goes on a code basis training disiciplined style.
