err. I don't know if if you talkin to me about forcing you too like him, or someone else. I'm certainly not trying to FORCE anything here, I'm just giving you a couple good reasons to accept him if not like him. Another thing I'm not comparing MK to real life OR saying I want it to be real, I was just using that to help explain why Bo'rai has some real good sense behind his moves. One final thing, too the person who said Bo's drunkin fist was too hard to control, UP YOURS YOU SUCK... no no wait, J/k. Yea it definetly can be tricky to those who don't play him often, they key is use block A WHOLE LOT to get the hang of his moves. Once you have um down and get use to his swaying (which can often throw off opponents), Bo can be one of the BEST FIGHTERS. A whole lot of his moves end up sending the oppent staggering backwords allowing for some more good hits.

I wouldnt have a problem with Bo if he didnt fart or puke i do fine his drunkin fist entertaining somewhat.He just doesnt fit in the mk series in my view he looks like he would be from tekken or something.Just by the way he looks i just dont understand why they have him fart it just gets old really fast anyways thats how i feel. I repect everyones opinons on this thread and thanks for expressing them.

Yeah, his facial features are a little overexaggerated, to the point of cartoony. And by the way, I DO accept him, I'm a loyal MK fan, I accept all the harsh realities of MK, doesn't mean I have to like them. I accept many things: Punk Rock, Bo Rai Cho, Street Fighter, doesn't mean I like them. I am just stating my opinion, this isn't communism under the rule of Joseph Stalin, I can finally express my opinion freely.

Bo Rai Cho is the comic relief of the game I guess. I don't like him and his fatals are not worth doing, but some people like him. It matters on one's own thoughts about him. I don't think he was ever meant to be anything but a joke.

Right. MK was always serious. That's why there were Pac-man symbols in the MKI courtyard, friendships and babalities in MKII and 3, big head codes for MK4, and ads for 'chrome bling' in MKDA.

MK has always had a funny side. Lighten up. If you don't like him, don't pick him, it's that simple. Others have said so already.

Besides, whether or not Bo' Rai Cho *should* be in MK:D, he is. There's nothing you can do about that other than not select him.

Me, I'm gonna select him first, because I like to get the characters I don't like out of the way first. Bo' Rai Cho is also the reason I won't be using Random Select in MK:D.

Of course MK has always had humor. I like the humor.......to a certain extent. The Babalities and Friendships were just finishers and nothing more. The dark feel made up for that.

However, when it comes to the ACTUAL fighting your opponent, i find humor in that to be kind of stupid. The fights should be serious and gruesome, not humorous with people farting, barfing, ETC. No, i dont like Bo Rai Cho and i wouldnt pick him. But that doesnt mean i wont fight against him.

I disagree, bo'rai cho is a cool character.

You know who Bo' Rai Cho reminds me of? Lieutenant Columbo from Columbo. He looks shabby, sub-par and a bit unorthodox. Actually scrap that, he is unorthodox, but he gets the job done. He lures his adversaries into false security, then he beats them beyond a shadow of a doubt. We all look at BRC and go "Oh no! MK is ruined! What a joke!", but this joke happened to train Liu Kang, Kung Lao and Shujinko. Two of them are dead, but they've all got their great tales.

I think puking is a great move in Mortal Kombat. The first instinct is to back away (forcing faster characters down to the Master's speed). If not the liquidy scunge causes them to loose their balance, slowing them down tot he Master's speed. It creates that break in the fight BRC needs.

Farting is a nice touch to. If you're ina fight and you just hear the rip, it's gonna take your mind off the find even for a brief second. Fartig to his feet is just to show what control he has over his own gravity, IMO. He's developed the Belly Rush, Flying Kick and Whirlwind Kick, is it so hard to believe he can blast himself to his feet?

People don't like BRC cause he can beat them easily. And that while not being serious at all =p. BRC isn't the joke. You are the joke to BRC :3

My opinion? I dont like him. I dont like his look, I dont agree with having someone fart and puke midmatch..Im a huge MK fan and I aint 100% great with EVERYONE, so I aint sayin I dont like him because I think I wont be good using him, point is, I probably will be good with him, as I was in DA...

Mk has always been about the darkness, far fetched moves, light humour.....

BRC, to me, offers none of this. Up until BRC being introduced to us, I always had MK down as a fighting game equipped with stylish fighters, something we had not seen since...since...forever.

Im saying BRC isnt stylish, his fightin styles are great but he just isnt.

I too wont be selecting him, and when it comes to completing the game with him, I'll no doubt be using Kabal or Ermac to the very end, and then using BRC to defeat Onaga, cos I sure wont be using BRC quite often.

I too hope he dies soon, I think he should have been one of the "fallen warriors" on the steps outside the palace wen the final battle ensued [see MKD intro]

I will say one thing tho, alot of people are angry over BRC being in Deception purely because their favourite Kombatant isnt it.

Im not one of them, all my faves are in this time around.

i like Master Bo Rai Cho

I probably don't like Bo Rai Cho as much as you do, and I don't find him funny just funny looking. But here's the problem I have with you're whole thread, just by what you said.

First you said MK was going soft, now this can be true or false depending on how you look at it. MK used to have an annoying guy go "whoopsi" once in a while during fights. And let's not forgot Friendships and Babalities, some thought all those things were cool and some didn't. So I think they are balancing themselves out yet again in MK:D cus their has generally been sometype of or the slightest bit of (cheesy)humor to the whole game since MK 2. Secondly I don't think you should be trying to convince people on something you believe in, because people are followers, and again some people like Bo and soem don't. So if one person says it, then everyone else says it and we know how Mortal Kombat likes to please their fans(or not) then they will be dissapointing others. So unless it can be supported by hardcore facts why he doesn't fit into the story line or that they are not being Mortal Kombat by him being in it then I don't see a problem with him being in this or any future MK games. So I don't agree with the opinion that Bo Rai Cho is making the game too childish or soft, cus past games have been more or less as childish as this one is when you really compare them. There's only one Mortal Kombat game that didn't have any humor in it, and that was the first one. I still respect you're opinion though, and you don't have to consider anything I said.

p.s.-I think I have laughed at atleast half the fatalities I ever saw in MK and i've pretty much been playing it since MK 1. So we all have our opinion of what we think is childish,funny,dark,scary,stupid about MK.

One HUGE important thing to note is 1, his looks have been changed and in my opinion he looks pretty sweet and real (I don't think he looked really cartoony in the first one though), 2 I've watched the video's and I really have not heard him fart or anything yet, so they toned that down or removed it (At least I don't rember any farting so don't flame if I'm wrong), and NOW his fatalities are hella kool! So it sounds like all you who didn't like him in DA, may like him in deception, and for all you who DID like him, theres now even more to like!

I'm pretty sure he still does those things, I remember reading he farts in a fatality. So I don't think any of that 'fart humor' has been removed. I wouldn't be surprised if he picked his nose when he taunts his opponents.

Having him as your trainer is a insult.I would would love to call up Boon and ask him what is up with bo and who created him and decided to have him fart.People are saying that this game will be the next mk2.But you got to remember every fighter in mk2 was awesome and wasnt a joke.So i dont see this game better then any of the classics.MKD will be better though then mk4 mk gold and mkda.

How is him being a trainer ridiculous? He's trained Liu Kang, Kung Lao and Shujinko. Storyline wise they are probably the three greatest fighters in MK history. How does Bo' Rai Cho teaching them abilities ridiculous?

Bo' Rai Cho reminds me of a big, fat, drunken Yoda. Everything about him is designed to make you think he is weak, frail and useless. But in reality, he can kick the living **** out of you. That's kinda what Drunken Boxing is all about, really.

But yeah, I'm not a Bo' Rai Cho fan. I never will be, but he has his place in Mortal Kombat just like everyone else (except Shinnok).

EXCATLY THANK YOU! The way he fights makes lots of sense and WORKS! Everyone's gettin all upset over this farting buisness. GET OVER IT. It's not that big of a deal! It dosen't "Ruin" the game. Bo's charector fits in MK world perfectally, theres far better things u can complain about. It's clear lots of people like bo stop being so damn selfish and bitchin about him, and demanding he gets takin out of MK.
