They're still touching up on the graphics and stuff, it's not like it's going to look like it does in the screenshots. It'll look better when it's done, I guarentee it.

i think they game looks great. I have no complaints about Deception. This is the MK that I've always wanted.

Also still images never do any game justice, the videos look alot better then the pictures so I suggest you watch a video.

I agree completely. My altime fav lineup, badass story. Playable subboss, evil Liu Kang (thanks God), all the characters getting an allstar makeover, hari-kari's, stage fatalities, and 2 fatalities per character. Did Ed Boon look into my dreams when he made Deception or something???

yea, watch the videos. they have way more quality than the pictures.

Also, those pictures could be from the PS2 version, which isn't as sharp and does not use bump mapping like the XBOX version.

Well, I like the graphics ( they look a bit on the 3D cartoon style) but I find that cool. The only little complain I could have is that the graphics are looking a lot like MK:DA but I'll play it and have fun anyway!

They better tweak it soon.

I think that the graphics in MKD look good so far and I'm sure they will be adding more touches to it. Just be patient. This game will be awesome.

They better get a new graphics engine for MK7.. somethin that'll make it look very... futuristic. Personally if I didnt get hooked on MK earlier I'd have thought it wuz crap the way this games graphics are compared to everythin else.... so Boon or whoever else is out there... screw the dark stuff... gotta make it look cool now....

It's not meant to look super real. The so called "Dark Stuff" is cool. I like the graphics in Deception, I think they are exactly what MK should be looking like.

If the graphics were too real, I dont think it would work. Mortal Kombat is possibly the most far-fetched fighting game out there, they need to have an element of cartooniness to them in my opinion. As well as, in most realistic fighting games, the characters look a bit bland because they're so real. I prefer this look, apart from sometimes the women look a bit too masculine, though I think thats changed a bit with Deception.

I agree with most everyone else. Mortal Kombat is a fantasy based fighter, and has a great look for that purpose. Sure the fighter models look a bit cartoonish (kind of an anime feel) and dispreportioned, but i think because of the graphic nature of the game, the look suits it. Also Deception seems to be much darker than Deadly Alliance, which I like. Look at something like GTA, which is essentially a living cartoon wherein people are lit on fire, decapitated, etc. There are certainly more realistic looking GTA-style games, but none capture that spirit. The same goes for MKD... why should all fighters look alike anyways?

I dont want the characters to look realistic. I like the fantasy flair.

I agree the graphics do look cheap.There very nice detailed but the size of fighters is messed up why are they so huge same with the weapons it looks ridiculous and goofy nothing about it has realism.Its still going to be a fun game but not as fun and cool as it could of been.If it stayed in 2-d we wouldnt be having this discussion.

Those are rumors. I haven't seen any interview confirming a playable sub-boss or Lui Kang's alignment(also, I'm pretty sure ghost Lui Kang is good).

It's the colorful and mystic atmosphere that seperates MK from all the other bland looking fighting games. It's what saved MK from looking generic and trite as Tekken or Virtual Fighter. I wouldn't change it for the world.

He didn't look into your dreams while he made it, he actually listened to the fans. This game is going to be so perfect. I don't remember being NEARLY as excited about DA as I am about Deception. DA never looked so promising.
