I think that would have been better and much more challenging.

Interesting idea, but really, taking on Shang Tsung and Quan Chi together would be kind of suicidal for the average fighter.

when you are a pro i think that you can afford to at leats risk it in a death match frankly i think mortal kombat tag team would be awesome sight indeed kind of weird but it would revolutionize mortal kombat forever

I had that thought a while ago, it makes a whole lot of sense to me. first off they seem to have a 'whole new' sort of image, 'this time, the threat of evil has 2 faces' so it would have been interesting to see soemthing new (ish) like an endurance for the final boss. and if quan chi and shang tsung are dihonourable enough to gang up on lui kang then why not you? plus it would make a nice change for the final boss to actualy be HARDER that the hulking beast you fight before it ;)

i think this actually addresses a more significant flaw in the game than the lack of multiple fatalities, which i actually consider to be really minor, to the point that i don't care. as someone said already, the game is supposed to be about this "evil has 2 faces" thing, and even in the intro movie, shang tsung and quan chi gang up on both shao kahn and liu kang, so it kinda seems like they should fight you together for the end battle. and endurance battle would make beating the game a little more satisfying, although there is nothing unsatisfying about beating it now. but then again, i can beat it on max with relative ease now, so maybe i would just personally like a little extra challenge now that i've maxed out on the computer.

how the hell do u beat it on max? i cant even do medium!
That's an excellent idea. As long as they didn't "have time" to put in a decent final boss, they could at least manage to make it a challenge. Cos Moloch is far more challenging itself than the other 2, at least seperated like they are. And if this game is meant to show us a deadly alliance, hell, put the darn alliance together, it makes a lot of sense!

Kitana Fan try circling your opponent almost constantly. Wait for their attack and often it will miss as you are moving, then counter attack! This works well on HARD, I haven't played Max yet.
Powerup or revive yourself (depends on character) after you floor your opponent. This is all general stuff. Sometimes you still need to block as well, especially when they unleash combos as they do on harder difficulties. Impaling is very useful for those that can do it. Hope it helps.

Yeah that would have been cool if you had to fight Shang TSung and Quan Chi in the final battle. They could have made it so that you only fight them in an endurance in max or something. It would have been a nice surprise :). I remember Quan Chi was quite difficult when you fought against him and Shinnock if you played 2 on 2 on MK4/Gold. Shinnock was always quite easy though. I think that the sub-bosses have always been harder than the big boss. Goro harder than Shang TSung, Kintaro harder than Shao Kahn, Motoro harder than Shao Kahn, Goro harder than Shinnock and finally Moloch harder than either Shang TSung or Quan Chi.

heh, good ideas there guys.
Do all the current gen consoles now have 4 controllers? I know the Cube does, since I have one. I wonder if 2 vs 2 fights would be possible for MK6? It'd sure be adding something new to MK games in terms of 2 human players vs 2 human players, hence 4 people in the arena at one time. MK: DA has revived the series and taken it to new heights, in my opinion, so it would be great if MK6 could continue to propell the series upwards. Something like this could turn out to be heaps of fun, if it could be pulled off.

They're called the Deadly Alliance so I think it make sense to fight them in an endurance type match.
