Scorpion is Boons favourite MK character, i highly doubt he would drop scorpion and let him sit out. Scorpion has a huge fan base, so many fans love him, and way more than sonya. Scorpion and Subzero basically have the most fans of all. And while scorpions story may be getting stale, he isnt. Hes a wild card, and can do whatever he wants. Remember when i said there could be several tasks for him to do to get quan chi? Like serve the DK, kill this person, side with this guy, ETC. However, i know this cant go on forever, so eventually scorpions story would change. The DK will be playing a huge role in MKD, and i cant wait to see how it effects scorpion, not to mention subzero. I bet quan will side with the DK, and in order for scorpion to kill quan, he would have to join with the earth warriors to battle the DK. There are tons of possibilities.

IMO Sonya is ok. I dont hate her, but i also dont really like her. I just dont care if shes in the game or not, though i think it would be better if she wasnt. She is one of the originals, but wasnt liu kang? And hes now dead. Sonyas getting pretty boring to me, and i think they could do better without her. Trust me, i'm more than sure there could be other characters returning with better stories, than sonya returning. IMO, i dont think the whole special forces agency fits well into MK.

Ok no argument that Sub and Scorp definitely have the biggest fan following. But of the 7 originals (Kano, Raiden, Johnny, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Liu Kang, and Sonya) I believe that Raiden and Sonya are the next two most popular *Of the original cast I'm not including other games* So I think that everything you said about Scorpion can also be applied to Sonya. Also, I am not denying that she needs some kind of change I really agree with this. But she has a lot more fans than some people realize is all I'm saying.

Scorpion is my favorite character of all time! But I hate to say he has become so old and boring! His look is always the same, his story is still the same, so stale, like someone said he goes to hell everytime, he does absolutely nothing!!!

When I compare him to Sonya (I hate to say this), I see more potential in her. Just look at the reaction of all Sonya haters when they played with her in mkda, she had a perfect change in her look, a different story that did not involve chasing any clan member, and was a top tier!

They loved her! And I used to hate her as much as I hate Kitana. I think its save to assume she has a spot saved in the soul of mk.

SO does Scorpion, but he needs a change more urgently then anyone else.

As I said before, just because Scorpion is popular doesn't mean he's good for business. Sometimes you need to cut something then building to far on it. Mortal Kombat has never been built around Scorpion, if they ever did that, then the story would crumble. Everyone I know that has the game favours Liu Kang ver Scorpion, and see Liu Kang (and Sub-Zero with some) as the life and soul of Mortal Kombat. Scorpion isn't the only attraction of the game.

I'm not a Liu Kang fan, nor a Scorpion hater, but I think Liu Kang was twice as important to Mortal Kombat than Scorpion.

Ok, I'm willing to agree that Scorpion can be taken a little further than Sonya storywise due to the fact the he has no loyalty to anyone. But Sonya's Moves (aside from the Liu knock off Fly kick *cringes*) rocked. I mean her leg flip is just plain mean. Plus her fighting stlyes? Tae Kwon Do (Sp) she is nearly unstopable from this stance alone! The others are just bonuses. Plus the point that was made before: When DA came out even people who hated Sonya, were still in awe of her powerful fighting ability. She was top tier.

No dude, Sonya does have all that and much more, and she can evolve to become better just like any other character can. She is by far IMO, and I see most agree, the best female.

I agree!!! To say miss blade has no good moves, styles, fatalities and stuff is an insult and people should die for that! LOL JUST KIDDING!!!

I didnt say sonyas moves werent good, i'm saying scorpion fans love scorpion more because of his moves and such. Sonya to, but look at this. One couldnt possibly forget scorpions "get over here" or "toasty" fatality. Classic, not to mention awesome.

BTW, while i do agree that sonyas kali sticks and her fighting styles in DA were quite impressive, i must say that i was never impressed with her fatalities. Also, IMO her special moves sucked. And scorpions revenge for quan chi, is MUCH better than sonyas for kano. Scorpions is more crazy, and the feel of it is much more awesome. Revenge for someone killing your wife and kids, is way better than someone going after you because of a gang or a friends death. Plus, scorpion is from the neatherealm, hes a spectre, and thats why he is loved more. Hes not just a human.

In MKDA it sucked she had only 2 moves, but actually, that Kiss move is one of the best in the whole game!

And just liek scorp has his "get over here!" peopel cant just forget the amazing "Leg Grab" of Sonya Blade and keep calling for it!

Her story was actually good but true, not as deep as Scorpions. But we have seen his story in all games that its not deep anymore. Its just...dead.

Personally I didn't really care for Sonya's DA fatality at all. So I'll have to agree with you there. Also it would have been better if they had given her the signature moves that were hers in DA, instead of a lame attempt to keep a character they killed off in the opening scene in the game by giving her his signature move. I don't think Scorpion's popularity has anything to do with him being "non-human" I think he's loved for all of the other things you mentioned.

Sonyas leg grab should have been brought back. And that is what i mean by scorpions "get over here" move wyndrain, the guy has had it in EVERY MK game.

I mean, the fans DO love him because hes a spectre you know. Fans also love him because they see him as the neatherealm itself. They know thats where hes from, his signature place.

In MK:D Scorpion should have the oppertunity to join his family in the heavens. Perhaps as a reward for defeating the Dragonking. I mean.. the poor bastard could use some rest instead of torment. That is.. if Quan-chi is dead of course. Then again. the oppertunity could be a deceptions as well :3

I like Scorpion and I like his story, always have. Perhaps in MK:D we will begin to see why he fights. I think his motives have been kept purposly hidden. Asides from revenge I fully believe that there are other reasons that he fights his fights. I actually had an idea for the story as far as he and Sub-Zero go...

We all know that the current Sub-Zero is the younger brother of the original Sub-Zero from MK1. He appears very aged though from the use of the Dragon Amulet which increases his powers. Obviously he ages at an incredible rate as we have seen from what he looked like in MK3 to now in MK:DA.

Scorpion, after killing Sub-Zero in MK1 had no reason to pursue and kill the younger brother of Sub-Zero once he came into the MK tournament. And Sub-Zero had been aware of his brothers and the previous Lin Kuei's actions and that is why he has never pursued Scorpion for vengeance of his slain brother. So the two while keeping their distance from each other still had no love loss.

Sub-Zero knows that his time is drawing to an end. The medallion that he uses to help protect the earth has been draining away at his very life essence. And while he has rebuilt the Lin Kuei in his own new vision, he see's no pupil of his with enough discipline and good reasoning to assume the role of leader, and to pass the medallion to. His pupil Frost, while a great and strong fighter, lacks discipline and does things to fullfill her own selfish ambitions. Sub-Zero after much thought decides that he has only one option to ensure that the Lin Kuei will be protected and put to good use in defending the Earth. But... it may take some convincing for the warrior to agree.

After the events of MK:D Sub-Zero is able to track down Scorpion....

Scorpion quickly jumps into battle stance

Scorpion: What do you want Lin Kuei?

Sub-Zero: Only to speak with you.

Scorpion steps back and out of battle stance but wisely keeps his hand on the hilt of his sword, ready to draw it at the slightest hint of deceipt.

Sub-Zero: You and I are not allies... yet we always seem to be fighting the same enimies. It's a wonder that Raiden has not asked you to join us in defending the Earth Realm..

That's about all I came up with thus far. I planned to continue it through Scorpions training with the Dragon Medallion. So what do ya'll think? Good? Bad?

Penguins will fly before they get rid of scorpion. simple as that, lui kang's death was a surprise but its understandable. All he had to back him up were kicks and an annoying voice. You could take scorpions story and throw acid on it and hed still be the soul of MK. Scorpion is the alpha and omega of MK.

BTW: him teaming up with baraka is a great idea! Theyr both the only REAL neutral warriors in the game anyway. Go you mighty stallions!!!!!!!!!!

Scorpion: No one has called me friend in a very long time... That's about all I came up with thus far. I planned to continue it through Scorpions training with the Dragon Medallion. I like that story JadeDragonMeLi although I wouldn't like to see Sub-Zero go.

I think Scorpion needs a huge storyline boost and I feel that there is still potential for him.

actually scorpions died more than 2 times queve, the 2 u mentioned, when he was defeated after attacking kahn and when the soulnado tore him a part. also scorpion should be in the game but change his story, either kill of quan chi and change his story or send him into the bowls of the neatherealm and have him at the mercy of shinnok

Again, you guys are stuck too much on the damn stories. How are you gonna get rid of Scorpian just because you don't like his story? Lmfao. He's a good character to play with. That's all that matters. I understand you guys like story line, but getting rid of Scorpian because of his story? That's ridiculous. It's a freakin' game! And he's important to the game...

Yes, that was exactly MY point. To make people realize and pay attention that not ONLY 1 or 3 or 6 characters like Cage, Sonya and Kitana need a story change.

They say “Cage has a lame story kill him”. So yeah, lets kill scorpion please, and Sonya and all The characters of Mk.

Basically all that had to be said about Scorpion and Sonya has been said. Both are fan faves, but both need a story change.

Scorpion more urgently IMO, if he is such a loved character he needs to be in his full potential. Think about it, he has no purpose in the game, he needs a change.

I’m happy to see people have make clear everything about Sonya. She definitely has some of the best specials in the game,. Best fatalities, awesome styles, etc. She has also had her Leg grab in every game but sadly, deadly alliance made the mistake to take it away.

BUT the kiss as mentioned, is one of the BEST moves ever in that game! So useful to make brutal attacks and combos.

Her fatality I loved, and was voted here as the favorite.

Scorpion can go but Johnny Cage well that would suck.He is the only true good guy in the game.He is by far the best "goodguy""human"fighter there is.
