of course im goin with my bro Temp on this one... any character appearing in MKD even if they was a pallete swap in older games will have their own unique move list and look in the new MK series... the secret characters in the older MK games where just put in for fun and nothing else, so of course they made them like other characters move wise and looks wise, i mean they didnt have anything to do with the story line at the time so they just said hell with well do it for fun... now that their popular and r getting a story line of their own they will have their own unique distinctive values...

Libra, i agree that would be badass if they brang smoke back wit the movie look, and when you play as him,smoke hovers around him, that would be awesome.

I've been saying this for a while, but I think that if Smoke comes back, he should have a look similar to Cyrax's alternate costume in MK:DA, you know, part man, part machine, similar to my sig picture.

It's all cool TemperaryUserName. I was just making some comments about Smoke (or rather human smoke) that i thought that maybe you mistook as me siding with the people you were getting fraustrated with... Thus you were possibly talking to me aswell.

I'm not a big fan of Human Smoke. I thought his design wasn't very cool, his moves were Scorp rip-offs (although I realize this could be changed, seeing how Reptile in MK I had Sub and Scorp's moves but his own set in MK II), and his story wasn't very interesting.

Cyborg Smoke, on the other hand, I thought kicked ungodly amounts of ass. With Scorp, Sub, Ermac, and Noob already returning, I think the 'male ninja' quota has been met. That being said, I think Cyborg Smoke would have a lot more to offer the game. Personally, I'm holding out hopes that the holy cyborg ninja trinity of Sektor, Smoke, and Cyrax makes its glorious return.

I dunno, I never got the whole Human Smoke thing myself. I thought Reptile was pretty lame in MK I as well, seeing how he was just a Scorp/Sub clone. After MK II though, Reptile became one of my favorite characters (although it's sad to watch him de-evolve into his MK:DA state...). Human Smoke could be the same, but I'd rather see cybernetic Smoke come back.

Here's something to note. Noob Saibot has A NEW LOOK is 100% playable in the game. People are referring to the screenshot where there is a ninja in black/gray on the chessboard as smoke. When a piece moves into the same square as another piece a battle occurs, meaning that the characters fight in a versus battle. My theory is that the character in the chess game is Noob Saibot and that's his new pixelated look. Despite the fact that every character is in the game does not mean that they are all playable. I mean you really think they are going to have every ninja (scorpian, subzero, smoke, noob saibot, ermac, reptile, rain, etc.) playable in the game. I mean they very well might have, but i don't think they will...

Chessboard? In the Cheesboard, they are Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Kitana and Quan Chi, but not Smoke. Ninja Smoke is in the sketch of the Netherbelly, fighting Bo' Rai Cho.

I didn't like Smoke so that it was a mere copy of Scorpion as soon as movements, but this clear that if reappears in the MKD this will not be thus, which can turn it to the aim one of the best characters of the MK.

And, I prefer Smoke like ninja (or semi-cyborg) that Cyborg-Ninja, and that more to Cyrax and Sektor harness.

Dude, you have no idea how long I've been saying the same thing when it comes to Smoke. If he were to come back(hopefully he will) of course he would have a new look and moves. And his story is already cool because he was Sub-Zero's best friend when they were in the original evil Lin Kuei. How cool would it be for him to join his friend and fight for good? His story could be so easy to implement in MK:D yet people think he had none. Like Ermacs "made from other fighters souls" is such a deep and interesting story. And Noobs, hey I'm just a joke by the creaters fucking around so they can have their names as a fighter, but it will be backwords. Wow, pure genious right there. Ughhh so damn frustrating.

Human smoek cant come back! Hes dead. His human form is only a memory. We should all know that smokes soul is still in the cyborg form of him.

The only way he could possibly come back as a human is if, the gods would bring him back to life or sumthin i dunno.
