Because they didn't have enough time to make them. But as you can see in the early teaser there are some movies with Scorpion and Quan Chi.

seems to me they did not have enough time to do a lot of things. no right passageway no cheat menu
no fmv,s no 2nd fatality, no pit fatality....... don't get me wrong i LOVE MK:DA but ....... MK6 anyone?

yeah... they seemed stretched for time. The game turned out wonderful tho, even tho the things they were planning on doing... they never got around to do it. And game companies need money obviously... so they tossed out the game.

This has been answered many times.. the intro movie to mk:da alone cost nearly half a million dollars. To make fmv endinds for all the characters would have probably cost them another half million. I like fmv as much as the next guy but i'd rather have that money invested in game play rather then watch a 2 minute fmv.

MK4/gold was good for what it was and that game was a bold venture by Midway to take MK into the 3D realm for the first time.

If you only play these games for the endings then your missing all the fun pal.The reason MKDA had no FMV endings was due to time and cost restraints.

As an example the opening FMV movie sequence where you see Liu Kang Killed cost a total of $400000! That's alot of money bro. So imagine if all 21 odd players had FMV endings? Granted they would be shorter than the opening but still your looking at about 21x $200000 =$42000000 approx.

Lot of money hey? and they would still be making the endings if you had your wish.

So as you can see it wasn't very practical
