im guessing its the lack of support for online gaming which is holding it back.

im guessing it may eventually come to GC.

Nintendo is not dead..especially after going to this years E3 and seeing their up and coming titles. MK Deception just doesen't seem to be on too many Game Cube owners agendas judging by how poorly the Game Cube version of MKDA sold. That system may be a little too light-hearted for that style of game. Even Resident Evil Zero did't do so hot but Mario sunshine did. The Cube has a different audience that why Deception will not be released.

Maybe later on down the road...who knows?

Gamecube does have online support, it's just not used as much for their games.

Nintendo did kick everyone's ass at E3, though. I wish it was for gamecube

What's the deal with Soul Calibur 3? Huh? Since Midway has decided to shaft the 250,000 of us who purchased Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance by not giving us MKD sequel, I simply must ask what will become of our greatest fighting franchise? Where is the sequel to Soul Calibur 2 and more importantly how can Nintendo and Namco make Sony and M$ green with envy that we got the greatest version of the game? Answers people.... we need answers!

Matt responds: Don't fret about Mortal Kombat. The situation is not quite as bleak as you might think. But as for the Soulcalibur franchise (and by the way it really is spelled like that, according to Namco), the developer has a sequel in the works. It's very early on. And I have no idea what to expect from it yet. But we can assume that Nintendo fans will not be ignored, especially since the GameCube version of Soulcalibur II, which was powered by Link, outsold the others.

If you're reading this, Namco people, please make an all-Zelda fighter in the style of Soulcalibur. (By the way, look for an editorial from me on this very subject in the not too distant future.)

Now take that as a grain of salt but there is a slight possiblity that mk d could be on gc next year but who knows.just like anything else wait and see.

its actually from poor sales of deadly alliance, or atleast thats the reason Midway used, and yeah please stop console flaming, im sick and tired of people slagging of the gamecube because it has "kiddie" games (Which by the way are far more fun than alot of "adult" games out at the moment)

i think the reason might be because many game cube owners are younger (sterio type i know...sorry) but anyways, usually people w/gamecube like games like mario and stuff, if they like fighting games then they would probably would have got a XBOX or PS2. ive always seen the gamecube as a breeding ground for platform games, w/the exception of like resident evil and stuff...which btw should be released on XBOX dammit hehe...

If by December we have not heard of a PAL GC version of MKD I will bite the bullet and purchase a PS2 on the cheap...

Tech wise Gamecube is the 2nd powerfull out of current gen systems. The main reason MK: Deception isn't coming out for gamecube is because overall gamecube sales when it comes to 3rd party games aren't too good. If Midway were to release a non online version of the game( 9 times out of 10 it won't be online even if it did come to gamecube) it was suffer. End the end most 3rd parties know that 3rd party games don't sell well on gamecube. Heck that is the reason Gamecube doesn't have next to none 3rd party support.Nothing to do with tech, only making profit back,something gamecube hasn't done well for 3rd party game makers.

To tell you the truth, Gamecube really owns XBox's ass. Besides the better graphics, XBox had little going for it. All of the games suck, and of they don't suck, they're usually available for some thing other than XBox, be it PS2, Gamecube, or even PC. I've never been very find of XBox and in full truth, I think it will fall before Nintendo, especially with the DS on the way.

Gamecube did bad at E3 this year? HA! I've been looking forward for games like Star Fox 2, Resident Evil 4, and Metroid Prime 2. And I'm pretty sure many, many other people are looking forward to those games as well. I do believe that Gamecube had the best E3 this year, and probably the biggest reason was seeing a preview of the new Legend of Zelda game. *Drools* Anywho, it is a shame that Deception will not be arriving on Gamecube. That means a good amount of my friends and others will either have to wait until the next MK, or buy a PS2/Xbox. But, that's how business goes.

I'm looking forward to all of the Nintendo games that were at E-3. You only mentioned three and GTA will be on the computer as well, all those that we mentioned are Gamecube exclusives. Please remain silent in the future unless, and I highly doubt this, you have something intelligent to say.

I am not bias either way, but one game Gamecube seems to have done very successfully is resident evil 4.
Without online play MKD would be a little hindered, but i dont see why it wont be brought out anyway on the next generation Nintendo console.

This topic has been flogged to death, except in those threads it was an actually a discussion.
