Will anyone die in MKD? lol, well, that's a silly question for a game called Mortal Kombat.

But seriously, I'm expecting a lot of high profile characters to bite the dust. Boon said we were going to be surprised with a lot of the storyline twists so I'm expecting a really important character to go.

I'm hoping that no one will die. Especially the new character sand the returning classics. It's be disappointing to see them return in such glory and then dispose of them so quickly.

Hopefully, they'll find a way to progress without any major deaths and leave doors open for all to return.

If Quan Chi is in the game Scorpion might finnaly avenege his family. Kabal might have killed Mavado to make his return. That's all I can think about right now.(offtopic: what does the green dragon coin mean beside STATUS)

Don't forget about the Tittle -Mortal Kombat DECEPTION- what i mean is that some characters might be betrayed by others so they might DIE!

Who would you want to be killed off in MK Deception? In my opinion, it's time for Mileena to bite the dust for good. Her purpose is really up. I also have a feeling Noob Saibot or who ever he will come in conflict with will die; if there's a new Shokan, either that Shokan or Noob Saibot will die.

In that case, I'd say Lui Kang, you have no idea how filled with joy I was when I saw his neck break. Only to find out months later that he's coming back in zombie/ghost form. They need to toss his zombie ass back in the coffin and nail it shut.

I think it might be kung lao since we have not heard anything about him yet, or someother major character.

2 part answer: Is anyone going to bite it, hmm possibly, Raiden is a big possibility, I'd personally like to see Jax die, the same with all the cyborgs as I dont like the whole cyborg storyline in MK.

as for liu kang:

Manny id 100% agree with unless they make liu kang a zombie like servant to the dragon king, who is non playable and a sub boss. Then id be fine with his return because that would emphasize how badass the dragon king is, and it create a terrible situation for the good guys or friends of liu kang. But if hes just a playable character, and has 2 forms, then i agree, dont bring em back, leave em dead please.

mileena better not die !! lol but i think mostly everyone will die in each characters ending like millena might die in barakas ending and baraka might die in mileenas ending ect

the only new character that i think of is the one that looks like rayden but is a female (i think its ashra) she does not seem to match in right now, but i would have to see and wait

There are or were rumors of Raiden and/or Kitana dieing in the intro FMV. However I believe both of those have already been thrown out the window with only the rumor of Kitana missing or being kidnapped by the DK or DA remaining.

As for characters dieing, when has that ever stopped them from returning in MK? Let's see....SubZero died in MK1 and then his little brother shows up in every game after that, Shang has died in almost every MK game only to be revived by the emperor, Johnny dies at the beginning of MK3 and returns in MK4, Kano also dies (or disappears can't remember which) in MK3 to return in MK:DA, now Liu Kang dies in MK:DA only to return in MK:D. *sigh* Don't you miss the good old days when death was almost completely final and it was a rarity when someone came back?

As for MK:DA I going to go out on a limb and assume that the Dragon King dies at the end. Losing to the good guys or at the hands of his 'loyal' servents. After all there can't be two big bosses when Shao Kahn makes his return in MK7. Also, I would much perfer that this is the last game that Li Mei and Bo Rai Cho makes an appearence...ever (unless there is going to be a MKTrilogy2).

I think Mileena, Dariou, Kenshi and Noob Saibot have the biggest chances of dieing in MK:De.

I think Shang Tsung and Raiden will meet their demise in the opening FMV.

No, I think two of the new characters will not make it out of MK:De alive.

I think Quan Chi will die at the hands of Scorpion.

Noob Saibot might die from one of Kuatan's assasins.

Kano might be dead either by Mavado, Quan Chi, or Sonya.

Jax might die from a Red Dragon assasin.

I like the whole theme of Deception. I wish I could learn a little about the plot of this game.

Death is such an overstatement in the MK world. If a character dies at anytime, its almost guaranteed that they will come back in a sequel or a latter game in the series. So why are you all worried about it?

IMO I wouldn't mind Rayden to die... that way Fujin could Finaly take is place.
And for Rayden's move, I guess it's clear that Ashrah has some of them.

lets be serious. at least one person has died in a mk game. and im hopping alot of people bite the dust except kung,nightwolf and noob. theres gonna be many dead especally with a new pit.

I think there will be one or two long term deaths, there has been in most MK games. Mind you, even nobodies like Jarek have a chance of reappearing later (see the prison stage) despite nothing to contradict their "deaths".

To me, Ben/Kobra/whatever the hell he'll be called looks like a prime candidate as an MK casualty. He's even more generic than Hsu Hao, just some average karate guy, nothing different from every other beat em up karate guys.

Unless raiden is in the game I think he has a pretty good chance of being killed off by the Dragon King in the opening movie. First of all, if Boon wants to make the Dragon King as badass as possible there's nothing better than for him to take down a God. Secondly, if Boon is out to make another shocker or dark twist in the plot it would make a lot of sense to kill the leader of the good guys. And who knows, maybe Raidens death would leave the door open for Fujin.

I am sorry if I am sounding rude or anything but why is everyone insisting that Raiden has to die to give Fujin a job? Fujin is STILL the Protector of Earthrealm, Raiden only gave up his place among the Elder Gods and returned to being a God of Thunder. Even in his MKDA ending he states he will fight the forces of darkness as the GOD OF THUNDER. Unless I am mistaken, Raiden can't take back the position he gave to Fujin. It is a job granted by the Elder Gods, and I don't believe they are too happy with Raiden at the moment.

Besides if Raiden dies that will leave Fujin as the ONLY Earthrealm god, all the others were destroyed in MK4. As much as I like Fujin, do we really want a bag of wind as the only deity looking out for Earth? It's not like any of the Elder Gods are.

As for being new or a plot twist, Raiden has 'died' before; in Shinnok's MK4 ending. It seems a lot of people have forgotten this so it couldn't have been that great of a shock. No, everyone was more shocked by the Reiko's ending in the console version of the game and still fight over it. To be honest, if Raiden gets killed by the DK's forces it will be too much like Liu Kang's death at the hands of the DA. I do hope that Boon and the others can think up a new 'shocker' for us.

Aliright LadyRaiden, you have a good point. if raiden died it wouldn't be all that surprising. Afterall a main character already got killed off in DA. So maybe instead of Raiden dying they could have him like turn evil or something. I know that goes against everything he's done and his overall character, but it'd be surprising and i'm sure Boon could find a way to make it some what believable.

Maybe i'm the only one that thinks this but it sometimes seems like Boon doesn't always take the MK plot to it’s full potential. Either that or I'm just crazy and in need of medication.
