Well, personally i think kung lao should be the next Liu.

As for kai, there was a concept sketch of him in colour, in MKDA. He looked pretty cool. I didnt like him in MK4 though, i think he would probably just be a filler. Hes not really needed, but i wouldnt mind seeing him return.

it's ok, it's just that I see the same topic question being asked everyday, it gets kinda annoying.

Kai was cool in that sketch and I don't think he will be in mk6 maybe a good chance in 7

Though I doubt he'll return, he needs to. With Liu gone, and Kung Lao stepping into his place as classic hero, the series needs a bad ass monk to fill Kung Lao's former role. Lao was always the anti-Liu Kang, and Kai seems perfect for the role. He's a very unorthodox warrior monk, with a cool look and a unique moves set.

i think that kai should come back because he hes a good,cool charchter and he has a good storyline and good fatalities and plus know that the dragon king is know awekend earthwarriors r gonna need all the help they can get.i thik that kai should come back in mk:D

Wrong, ki does NOT have a good storyline. He has a storyline with the POTENTIAL to be good. Like most debuting characters, few good judgements may be made about how "good" their storyline is until their second appearance. Kai unfortunately fits into that category. He has a storyline that could take him very far in the series, but he needs one more game for him to fully blossom.

Kung Lao should be the next Lui Kang and probably will. Also he is blood related to Lui Kang, you can't get more destined then that.

i agree kung lao should be the next liu kang because kung lao knows like liu kangs move because he tought from bo ra icho so i thik kung lao should be the next liu kang.as for kai he should return as kung laos bodygard

I'd like to see Kai come back with Kung Lao. If they expand on the caperoia, and give him another style like Liu's, we could have a pretty cool character. Unlike most of the MK4 newbies, I always kinda liked Kai.

Kai makes a great Eddy Gordo type character, since he walks on his hands and his fireballs are awsome to confuse u'r opponent with; I like his Overhead Rip Fatality but the other one was a last-minute come up with Fatality that sucked! He never died, and went on a mission of his own or something which leaves him open for a good possibility to return. He'll be back if not in MKD, then MK7 or something.

It would be nice if he returned. But your right on one thing, his story line was as if he was wondering what to do with himself( other than helping earthrealm)
Perhaps he finds something on his quest(like in his ending) like, he learns something new.

And every member of the Lin Kuei we've seen so far, is not very Chinese either. Both Sub-Zero's were white (with the exception of SZ6's end screen in MK2), Smoke is white and Cyrax is black. Frost is also white.

I don't think this is the issue here.

BTW I wouldn't mind Kai's return. If an MK4 char was to return, I'd sure as hell prefer him anyday over lame characters like Shinnok (a bad guy with real potential, but screwed up horribly).

But, to be honest, Nationality shouldn't have to do with anything if they are from Earthrealm. I mean, it is interesting to know, but not that important. Its what realm your from that matters.
