i think kano or liu wont be in the game as playable chars. the whole liu in kanos body i dont care for really. would of been kool if lius soul went into rains tho. and if they had rain and kitana in deception. that would put a twist into that love story

liu's soul jumped into kano's body after quan killed shang.

hes not comming back as kano.....

quans ending was that he asked kano to steal the amulet away from tusang and he did it and immediatly shut off his supply of souls and effectivly killing him and Quan Chi relized that he could just as easily kill Kano so he did. then one of the lingering souls jumped into Kano's body then they say it wasnt kano standing there it was Lui-Kang

Basically it was similar to shang tsungs ending, but a tad different. Quan chi betrays shang tsung, and secretly tells Kano to perform an assult on him. Kano does this, and shang tsung dies. Quan chi then fears that if kano can easily betray shang tsung, then he could betray quan chi himself. So quan chi blasts kano with an attack and kano dies.

When shang tsung died, tons of souls lept out of his body. One of the souls went into kano's body, and that soul was Liu kangs. Kano gets up with liu kangs soul in him.

The ending never happened.

I dont think he will.

Why would there be an ending like that only to later be spoiled and said that never took place?

That kind of upsets me because I was hoping for a plot twist like that, but it was apparently proven to be false by a developer.
