I think it's just a way to make everyone a little bit happy, being able to go "Hey, there's my favorite character" but I don't think their presence will mean anything. Although I think they should do a MKT2 next anyway, even if to put all the characters in there they have to clone fighting styles, but I think it would be coolness anyway and make everyone happy. I know a lot of people knock the first trilogy but i think it is the shit.

We could always hope for the ultra tournament. EVERY character ever in a mk game. Kinda like trilogy only their is no "classic" character models. No MK2 reptile, ect.

First of all, I like the pallet swaps, so a MK2 Reptile would be perfect for me, and if you remember the PS version of trilogy, if you hit select on some people it had the older costumes, so why not do that in this one?

I'm not sure to have well understood this thread: the hypothesis is that the characters locked into the prison would be those presents in MK7? That could be possible, but if we consider that more than about twenty personanges were seen in the prison, then, there will be no characters of MKD who would be present in MK7... It would be surprising, even if, from MKDA to MKD, 15 characters (without account Mokap, Blaze and Moloch) disappeared from the game... :/

Nah.... they just use mk characters in prison stage just for fun.... instead of drawing new looking prisoners....

I think persoanlly that alot of these characters in the prison will make it into Mk7.They bought some back now and are prolly saving more to bring back later.

Yes i would have to agree with Shaokahn but somehow i can go against that cause most of the times they like to keep the characters as secrets until its close to a release date what im trying to say is maybe some of the prisoners will be in the next mortal kombat but some probably wont either.

since it's being developed for the new generation consoles, i think it's a good chance all come back

If Cyrax is in the game, his Hari Kari should be blowing himself and the other person up, like MK 3.

Hasn't it been comfirmed that all the prison characters are from the models used in Konquest?

Maybe the locked up characters were souls the Dragon King killed off. Whoever kills the DK will release them.
Just a thought.

I think the characters put in there are from konquest and are to stir up stuff like this before the game comes out.
