I love MK:D, but I do have to agree that the mechanics, graphics, or whatever, are a lot cheaper than MK:DA. I don't understand why that is, since Ed Boon is always trying to trendscend each previous MK game, but I guess he and the team just felt a little on the weary side cause it sort of looks half-assed.

Yeah! They should just bend over like a real MK fan and accept broken gameplay and poorly designed and implemented side games!

Please, not everyone thinks every MK game is bad (we were all big fans at some point which is why a lot of the "haters" are here) but it's just painfully obvious Deception is simply a bad game. Want to know why people are bitter? Because a lot of us were around back when this site was called MK5.org back when Deadly Alliance came out and we began to pick the game apart looking for strats and other such things for competitive gameplay... Then the complete and total brokenness of DA was clearly evident and when Deception was announced we all had the foolish idea that the gameplay would be improved dramatically. I mean hell, we were so happy when we found out that throws were finally going to be unblockable like a normal fighting game (unfortunately no throw escapes, oops!).

Then we got Deception and realised it was worse than DA. It's been proven and documented. There are numerous threads on both this forum and the Armageddon forum showing glitches in the form of movies, infinites, and other problematic things. On top of all this people also came together to find options on how to fix them.

What's funny though is that quite a few of the people that have taken up the fight to make enough noise so you get a game that doesn't suck (yes, people are making noise for you) used to be blind and ignorant MK fanboys that refused to believe DA or Deception were bad until they were shown what was wrong. In fact, Master Malone actually went to E3 this year and presented the MK Team with all the flaws Deception has and they acknowledged them and were going to work on fixing as many of the problems as they could (but due to time we probably won't get any real improvements until the game after Armageddon, such is life). If the MK Team can accept and acknowledge that Deception has serious gameplay issues does that mean they hate their game?

Sorry for the long post but the "lolol j00 hat3 MK so j00 NOT A REAL FAN LOLOL!!11" argument gets under my skin because it's not true.

Be a true mk fan, learn to like all of them. Think about it, this game is a legacy, it was the start of the ESRB rating. its been out since like 1991, when i was born. and there are like 12 different mks.

I know about MK's history. I was in the 4th grade when MK came out and I still have the same cartridge I bought over ten years ago for my Genesis. I still have MK2 for my 32X (yeah, I was one of the ten people that got one) of course I've got MK Trilogy for my PS1 and MK Gold for my Dreamcast. I preordered DA, Deception, and Shaolin Monks (even though I knew they wouldn't be good). I've also got a copy of Deception that was signed by the MK Team which I won from this site for a fanfiction contest.

I love MK, I just don't like what it's become.

Man I'm totally wetting myself over Armageddon. I've not been playin MK long at all, and I never get bored with it. Yeah there are probably some glitches ( like today I was practicing with Raiden v. Noob-Smoke in the Foundry and ended up off the map and in the brown emptiness of programming void, very cool I thought).

But I gotta tell you, there has never been a game to excite as much as MK, I even went out to buy all the old ones I could find. I didn't really enjoy the chess that much, the puzzle is pretty cool, but the Kombat and Konquest made that game for me. Yeah I'm as green as a noob can get, but as long as I'm having fun, who cares about the glitches. Infinites just become another challenge to overcome (or abuse 4 some people I guess).

So maybe I suck 4 being a noob, but that's just my opinion on MK:D.

this game is broken, horribly broken, probably THE most broken of all fighting games in this gen, but that doesnt mean its a bad game, or a non-fun game. its just... broken

Nah, Mortal Kombat Deception doesn't suck, you suck probably because you either can't afford the game, or dont have good judgement. So I would take it easy if I were you, if you dont like MK, why are you here? I've been playing for a long time now, I have every game, and Deception is my favourite.

FACT: Judgement is subjective. I could afford the game, but i will not buy a diminishing console just for one game. Counterefficient.

The game IS broken, VERY broken, proven by countless videos. Bo Rai Chos Jujutsu F+3 then throw is the cornerstone of all brokenness, not to mention the infinite-fest that Noob - Smoke is. Darrius has an insanely
inept juggle list etc. Universal tracking: punches do damage eve when you
sidestep them..., Tombstone drop/Dairou .... you name it.

All those self-appointed true MK fans are little more than numb, self-sacri-ficial lambs that only want to get spoon fed by reflex, at least mostly. No thanks.

this game is far,far away from the worst game there is.it is 1 of the best fighters there is.nuf said foolsbut 4 real:its got bad ass baraka,cool mileene,SHAO KAHN,GORO,kabal,and...jade!plus someotherdudes.good mini gamez,it can get hard,and...thats it.still a good buy.specially for the gamecube

it left much to be desired in characters most of my faves werent there. in fact i only played as sub(does not suck if you are good as him)scorpion ermac, noob smoke, and raiden. thats it i hated every other character.

Well.. I'd have to agree, it is a great game, but there are many things messed up with it, as rumors, and talk by fanatics prove, so I really dont got an opinion on the game.

Oooohhh Davey dear As far as I can say of MKD...
I love the puzzle, and the Jade and NS and the intresting vs and such, but they made Bo's staff broken as all to heck and glitches in the stages wwhere you walk through and at the slaughter stage lets just say one person used the walls to block my view of winning.
