It's been PROVEN that MKD is broken. Have you not seen those glitch vids?? Seriously man. Check them out and go see for yourself. Some people are simply giving CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM and giving SOLUTIONS as opposed to just "bashing" the game. We're not expecting the game to be perfect, just to be improved, that's all. If you feel that there's nothing to be improved upon, that's your opinion.

umm no its not. im new and all but im pro at MKDA and MK3 and definently at MK trilogy but MKD is by far the greatest ive played. i just need to figure out how to start challenging people for their rank.

you crazy mortal deception is great, and Mortal kombat 2 was good. I didn't care for mortal kombat 4.

I think its the worst, i dont know if its because i reached a stage of complete repulsiveness toward the game ( i played over 10 000 fights and broke 3 mkd copies out of frustration ) or because just after a few days in its release this game just became for many what whe call a combo fest where anyone just tried too pull the biggest combo he can do, just so he can damage hes opponent the fastest and rely on glitches. If you want an example just read the posts mentionning the biggest combos possible or the many character guides writen by the past or recent mk members.

i like it there are days where i cant be F***ed playin it but i still think it is a good game aspecially when u pwn with Baraka and u can kill a generic enemy it less then twenty seconds hehe

Hands down this is the best one out right now (can't wait til' MKA!!!! ). This dude that posted this is crazy. Everything got better. Conquest, costumes, arenas, etc.!!!! Damn, when Armageddon comes out, people would be saying, "What the hell is Mortal Kombat Deception" or "I never heard about MKD" Just chill and wait until the fall!!!!

I think the roblem with most people critizing MKD is that is too complex for them to understand. Yes, its broken, but there is still 95% of MKD that makes me come back to it.

It is the only beat 'em game that requires total cognitive process. Wikipedia describes this as 'processes such as memory, attention, perception, action, problem solving and mental imagery'. That's exactly what it takes to be good at MKD. I've seen some awesome players on MKD and you can do nothing but admire their intelligence.

I've played other games whereby all you need is the control pad to have a chance of winning. With MKD, you damn well need more than the all the buttons on the pad to have any chance of winning. You actually need to apply your brain. That's what sets it apart from other games and its been that way since MK3 and we can be damn well guaranteed that MKA is going to build on carry on the tradition.

MK:D is hardly complex.You cannot have a complex fighting game with 50/50 mix ups whatsoever.I'm not even going to mention the easy infinite combos in this game because most of them follow just two-move patterns.The reason why most people still suck in this game is because they can't play mind games or adapt to the strategy that's killing them.

However,MK:D not being complex is not the player's fault,but the poor design done by the developers.Once MK adds a wake up game,tech-rolls,parries (high,mid and low parries),a frame data that makes sense (i.e. advantage on block,safe moves),just frames,wall stuns (or some way to take advantage of walls),throw escapes, etc. etc. etc. it will never be as deep as other 3D fighting games.

Name me a 3D fighting game that so better than MKD. I've played a ton a of them and I can vouch that MKD is right up there and even with the glitches. Now take out the glitches and mos. definitely have the best beat 'em up game from the storyline to deep end game play.

1. despite the fact, that MKD did poorly after its initialô release it is still a good game?
2. the abundance of 50/50 mixups lead to incontrollable situations what set up alot of ILLOGICALLY adwancing free-attacks?
3. interlinking and OBSOLETE dial-a-combo mechanism that was used to its fullest pride...the Bo F+3, throw repeat sequence. And thats just one character.
4. the uselessness of high attacks, as they are easily punishable compared to others. Prime example is Subs total weakness as he does not have any mid attacks...?
5. Tekkens elaborate controls are emulated throughout the fighting game history. if MK is so great, then why do we not see anyone, I repeat ANYONE recently taking after D.A.C. systems? People do not need intravenuous shit-feeding.
In this essence MKD is like having your kid spoon-fed on "half-dolla' thug life, obscure swedish long-hair metal, emo and vertebrae-damaging elec-tro retro pop-country". In simple words ... MK is PROVEN to be DISFUNCTIONAL.

I hear your point, Chrome. However, I'm still confused about your use of the word 'inherent brokeness' and the fact that you've thrown it out the window. It sounds like MKD is worst game you've ever laid your hands on. But then again I guess everyone's got an opinion on where they stand on MKD and regardless of whether or not the opinion is valid to totally trash the great game is another question.

It IS broken. The MKD engine is a breeding ground for uneven loopholes, no solutions to 50/50 mixups or whatsoever, no ground play...

what makes MKDA and MKD bad is the fact that they are shallow. It still lacks elemental basics like the above-mentioned stuff, while what rema-ins is disfunctional at the core.

Example Bo Rai Cho in Jujutsu F+3 - throw, unbreakable and leads to 3
different unbreakable infinites. Sub-Zero has no mid hitting attacks. Lows and highs are unusable mostly, especiallz highs, since they are all too easily punishable.

What about universal tracing? Certain attacks are undodgeable.

Every fighting game has infinites and glitches, but MKD is by no means up
there. it lacks certain criteria that are standards now, and no matter how much they will say that it is simple because it is old-MK-reminiscent, they fail. Fail, because nostalgia leads nowhere, and MK is only a very, VERY
little part of the fighting game culture. It is really not opinion, it is fact.
