sub zero and scorpion could never change, it wouldn't be right. if they did, it would be cool if they had new all black ninja gi's (not sure if thats spelled right) with traces of their old colors on them.

Personally, I think "trademark" colors are a dumb idea in the first place. Characters from other games (especially fighting games) don't have trademark colors, they have trademark looks. They don't have to wear the same colors every game, nor should they have to.

What I want is the ability to pick different color schemes for you character. That way the people that want to use the character's usual colors can do so and people (like me) that would like to see a bit of variety can pick a different color for them.

Win-win.

Sub-Zero is now Teal colored and not blue.
Scorpion is now Gold and not Yellow.

Ok, so it's not a huge diffrence but still. I actually hate Sub-Zero's new color. Not that the color sucks but on him it does, he doesn't look as 'Icy' as he would be in blue.

I think Heinz did that once - they made green and purple ketchup... Personally, I think there are other things that could be changed about a character that would piss me off more than having their colors changed - for instance, omitting certain trademark special moves (i.e. Scorpion w/o his spear, Sub-Z without ice blast, etc..) or a drastic changed in that character's story (Baraka joining the OIA). I would probably mind the colors being changed, but not so much as to prevent me from playing MK.

Yeah Heinz did do that. And to be honest I could not eat it!! My bro got the green ketchup and I swear I tried to eat it. It tasted the same... I don't know, I just kept thinking it was a batch of bad ketchup, but it was so much that if they didn't sell it they were going to lsoe alot of profit. So that was the only reason they did that, because it was not around for long.

Anyway, trade mark colors are not just for ninja's. Take Sonya for example. She is always green. Her outfit my change through every MK, but her base color remains green. Up untill MK:DA Shang was always Yellow and Black. When they changed him in MK:DA, I was kinda upset. He just did not have the Shang Tsung feel to him anymore. Maybe that was just me =/

JadeDragonMeli i understand why u were upset that shang tsung changed to the red outfit by i personally thought it looked better then his previous outfits. but to answer temps question yeah i would freak if deception came out and sub was red and scorp was green and so on. but i think sometimes its better to change the outfit until u find something that seems to work.
