I am a big Shao Kahn fan. Probably one of the toughest final bosses in fighting game history. I refuse to believe that he got his ass handed to him by Shang Tsung and Quan Chi! He has to be alive. Possibly hiding out regaining his strength. What I really want to know is, does anyone want to see Shao Kahn as a playable character in MK:D? Flame or not, your comments are always appreciated.

I love to see Shao Kahn back. Of all the bosses in Mortal Kombat games, I thought he was the toughest.

Yes there are. I am nutural on the issue, and always looked at shao khan nuturally. At any rate, as a nutural observer, I think shao khan should have a minimal role in MK6, and possibly make more appearances in the future.

LOL, he should definetly be mentioned in MK6. Definetly.

I'd like to see Kahn back as a playable character. I think that'd be an interesting turn of events for the story.

We already know you don't like Kahn so Squash it already and stop mentioning it over and over again. HE'S NOT HORRIBLE! HE IS FAR ABOVE THE LEAGUE AND VERY POPULAR. You almost started a flame war with many Kahn fans by trashing him constantly. You wouldn't want that again. SO SHOVE IT!!! Quan Chi is cool but not as interesting as Kahn, Tsung etc etc.

Cpleck? I am a big Kahn fan myself. I would love to see him again. He doesn't have to be a boss or anything but he would be a valuable hidden character. There has been hints that we haven't seen the last of the great Emperor. I hate the fact that he had to be taken out by 2 lesser villains. Even, though Kahn was very weak from his defeat by the Earth realm warriors he was close to victory in the battle against the Deadly alliance. So there is no doubt in my mind that Kahn, while still weak, would have taken down Shang Tsung one-on-one or Quan Chi one-on-one. I don't know what would happen if both sorcerers tried to take on the Emperor when he was at his strongest point. One thing is certain: these 2 would be asking for a death-wish

Absolutely Subzero_5th! That's what I like to hear. He would make an excellent hidden character. Since he's weakened, it would be even between him and the other characters. If he was at full strength, it would be unfair. I forget what thread I read it in, but someone made up a story for Shao Kahn for MK:D. Whoever wrote it is a genius. It fits perfectly with MK:D. I would give someone elses right arm for him to be in this game.

The story for Kahn is from XiahouDun84. It is located in The Official Character Speculation Thread. He has alot of good stories for characters there, but Kahn's just sticks out in my mind. Here it is:

Shao Kahn- He would not accept death. Especially not at the hands of two backstabbing sorcerors. It would be for lesser men. However, Shao Kahn's survival came at a cost. The effort of surviving Shang Tsung and Quan Chi's attack has cost the dark emperor much of his once god-like power. His empire collapsed, his army in disarray and the fate of his realm in the hands of others, Shao Kahn finds himself a man with nothing to lose and everything to gain. With no army, no generals, a fraction of his former power, and fueled by his burning rage, Kahn stands alone. He intends to make the realms remember why Shao Kahn is a man to be feared.

Again, outstanding job XiahouDun84!

That's an interesting story... I wouldn't mind seeing Kahn again... but not so soon. Perhaps he could pop up in a later MK game to cause some trouble for earth again.

There are huge problems with khan being a playable character.

#1) Wouldnt he overpower everyone?

#2) If he was made too weak, that would lessen his legacy.

Nobody seems to talk about these things.

ugh no. both those guys are pussys compared to kahn. and while i think shang is cool, i hated all the characters introduced in mk4, including quan chi. I only want one evil sorcerer and i think the shinnok and quan chi story should be put in the past.

I would LOVE to see Mr. Kahn back but only as a playable character. Midway should drop the whole megalomaniac thing and give him his own little plot that involves him attempting to regain his throne, power, army and wreak havoc on those who betrayed him. Think of it as the movie "Kill Bill" except Shao is the hateful Bride.

He should not return as a boss anytime soon.

As for him overpowering other character, he probably does storyline wise but gameplay wise he would be just as good and balanced as the others.

powerful moves would be a must. he wouldnt be overpowered. give him less combos, slower speed, but more powerful moves and better defense and he has as many pros as cons when fighting a faster more combo oriented person.

I disagree. I don't want Kahn to be "Drahmin 2", sure he was always a "one punch/kick kill" fighter but that must change. I think Kahn would be better off with regular combos, ones that last more than 2 hits. If he is gonna be a playable character, might as well make the best of him. Before Kahn is a ruler, he is a fighter... so show us what you got!

the reason drahmin sucked is because of the lack of variety in his moves. in fact, that was a problem with every body in DA. yes kahn should have combos, but not as many as some. They could make alot of power moves for kahn and be original so that you have to use some at certain situations. he'd be more like asteroth of SC, he's powerful and has little combos, but the variety of power moves he has makes him a good character.

I don't think Kahn is beaten for good, since reptile could be the dragon king he might make kahn a general.

I'd love to see Shao kahn return to Mortal Kombat for revenge against quan chi and shang tsung. I'd like to see Shao kahn as a warrior, and not a conquerer. I'd love to watch him beat everybody and prove that he can back up his talk. Then he would retake his throne, and truly be worthy of everyone's respect.
