Would you want secret characters poping up?

Well, so far, i must say i am extremely impressed on what i'm seeing with mk6. Everyone looks amazing so far, and it totally reminds me of MK2, the feel, looks and everything else. This will definately be a sequal that has the whole mk2 touch.

But anyways, i was just wondering, does anyone want to have secret characters pop up during the beginning of fights giving us messages to fight them like in mk2? and does anyone want a stage where we can see secret characters lurking or peeking behind something to get us anxious? I definately would, it would be sweet to have it like MK2. I would also like it if you could do a kind of code and fight them somewhere.

Tell me your thoughts. And by the way, there has to be secret characters in MK6.

Of course. Secret characters are always awesome, and it would make it even better if they would make their presence known like in MK2.

Yep...
I remember reptile poping up (rarely) and saying If you fight me I will make u my bitch in MK and then I started playing MK 2 times normal to find him and I made him my bitch hehe... :)

There have been secret characters in all 8 MK games so i'd be correct to assume that there will be in MK:D... The series has become famous over that, But i hope that they're more ominous like Reptile was in MK1 and Smoke, Noob Saibot, Jade were in MK2.

And that one guy's joke was funny about Reptile comming down and proclaiming you his bitch, haha!

Me too, i would love seeing smoke pop his face up once in a while behind some sort of wall or something. To be honest, i would even like it if there were totally new characters that we had never heard of before, and they come in the beginning of a fight and give us hints. I would love it.

And i think it was interesting how you would have to fight 50 matches and then fight noob in mk2. Maybe for a surpise, when 2 ppl are playing MK6, after maybe 50 or more matches, a secret character would fight the winner instead, and if you beat him/her you unlock em. That would just make me shocked, it would be awesome.

In MK 2...I remember Jade and Smoke poppin up...Noob never really popped up...if U didnt know that 50 win streak trick....U'd never know he was there.....I hope in MK:D only a few hidden characters pop up...not all of them....they should leave at least 1 or 2 that dont pop up and give clues....

I want them to peek in the fights too!!! Like Jade and smoke picked out of the trees in the living forest in MK2!!!

Man!! I think that would be awesome, If secret Chareters poped out real quick, and said in riddles how to find them, and just having them Peek in the background would be awesome, and Dan forden Toasty,frosty, and even wussy would be great!!!

Haha, of course, who couldnt forget about those, CLASSIC!grin

I would also like that to, seeing one of them guys pop up and say something like toasty would really glam my mind of remembering the old days.

By the way, i would like it if you saw a question mark as your fighting your way in the tournament. I remember in MK2 there was a question mark, and it would always make me curious to what it was. They should bring it back.

I would also like to see the dead pool stage again. Not to mention goro's lair.

Cool! I found a topic on this forum that isn't gay!

I agree with bringing back the hidden character appearences, lik ehow reptile would taunt and give you a hint on finding him in MK1. Maybe even make them interact within fights, say have someone throw a fireball or whatever outta nowhere durring the fight.

In the bginning of MKDA there were allot of rumors concerning the whispers in the crypt and wat they said/or didn't say.

This could also be a great idea to announce secret caracters, and the whispers could become better clues.

Hell yeah!! And make them worth while. Mokap was a complete joke...which was funny for all of 3 seconds. Then it was lame as hell that they wasted a character space on him instead of a returning favorite or new character. Blaze was ok but any hidden character should have their own unique moves and fatalities so it's actually worth unlocking.

Toasty definitely needs to come back. We all miss Dan Forden don't we? As for secret characters, I also think it should be done the way MK II did it. Except they should be able to interact with the fight. I believe someone already said that in this thread. There should be at least 3 or 4 hidden characters. Make 2 of them old and 2 new. Maybe like Jade and Kabal as the 2 old ones and 2 new characters. One that sticks in my mind is Diamat or however you spell it. The demon-looking guy from the MK:DA sketches. I would love to see him in a game.

Since MK:D seems to be doing everything bigger and better, I'd love to see about 5 hidden players, and I'm not talking about people that are unlockable in the Krypt either. Maybe two old characters and three new. About four of the five characters should have question marks on the select screen. Some can either taunt you during matches, pop up in an arena, or maybe perhaps have a character behind a darkened door in the krypt that you really have to look for or something. Hide these characters well, but make them findable, and apparent.

I don't know if I would like seeing the "cartoon feel" that the MK and MKII hidden/secret characters had then, appear that way in MKD. I mean the jumping down and then back up, popping out from behind trees, or popping in from the side to say "Toasty".

The series seems to have grown up since then and taken on a darker and edgier feel. Possibly having a hidden/secret character standing in the shadows or lightning flash at a certain point to reveal a hidden character standing/walking in the background. Maybe that will give them a more ominous feel.

Did I explain that right? I hope my point gets across.

Dan Forden ownz.Bring back the man with the "Toasty".Yes,I must agree.The hiddenc haracters giving clues,popping there heads out was right on the money.To have that in this new installment would be sensational.

Having them pop up like on MK@ would be graet. It'd be cool if they actually spoke rather than leaving text messages on the screen.

Of course. That would be awesome. They haven't done that since MK2. Having Noob drop down as the match begins (assuming hes a secret character) and give you a clue as how to unlock him or how to fight him would rock.
