After viewing the two most recent MK vs DC vids all I gotta say is WOW. The graphics have come a long way, showing some incredible technical prowess. Imagine what they're going to generate with the next real cannon MK game. This might be the prettiest fighting game yet. That includes superiority to the likes of DOA4, VF5, SC4, and Tekken 6.

Nah it's not the prettiest game yet but it does look a lot better in the newest videos.

1., It is canon, not cannon.

2., Yes, compared to the previous set of three games the graphics look really improved. However, compared to other games currently... at least it is current technology one step back, and not previous generation technology.

No, It is actually spelled "cannon" because every time new story material is introduced into the MK universe, it's like a cannon blasts through its wall of structure and credibility.

The graphics remind me more of the Unreal 2.5 engine than the Unreal 3 engine. They aren't bad but they should be a bit better than they are.

Soulcalibur IV looks beautiful in 720P. Hopefully MK looks just as good. I wonder what resolutions MK will support? It would be nice if it supported at least 1080i. Time will tell.

With Midway's Budget at the current state, it's no wonder were not seeing Epic Games, graphics. I'm not to worried about that though, MK's storyline is what drives me. I hope MK9 will thaw out character storyline's.

I think the graphics are gorgeous.

Some of the places you can truly see how beautiful they look are during the free-fall kombat mode AND the arenas. The Special Forces Hangar looks fantastic for example (look at the sea and that sky!), as do many of the others we have seen.
