I wanna know if this is the same on PS3

On Xbox when u use the Pad. For example Sub-Zero's iceball. or the iceblock fallin from above. U don't have to press Down Forward or Down Backwards. U just press diagonal it already does the job wich i find VERRY irritating because it makes it to easy (it already is) and second EVERYTIME i wanna do a Uppercut it always does the ICEBLOCK falling move (Wich takes time to make the damn block and get my ass kicked! I had have hoped that in the options menu u could turn this handicap shit of. But noooo. This game is suddenly made for children. Damn man because of this bullshit i wanna sell the game i love.

Is this the same on the PS3 when u just do diagonal and not down -backwards.

And don't say like u have a xbox controller bla bla bla. I know that already but they could have leave the diagonal shit. because its not making it EASY it actually ruins the gameplay.

I agree. The 360 d-pad = shitsux. I can't believe I'm saying this, but because of MKvsDC I'm actually considering the idea of getting a Hori stick.

I don't think it works diagonal on the D-Pad, but on the Analog Stick yes for the PS3.

That's what I did. The PS3 is better IMO anyway.

i actually like the fact that you only have to use the diagonal. Makes life a bit easier.

what bothers me are special moves that start with back and then forward (e.g Flash's around the world move, or the ice slide). Half the time i just jump away or towards my opponent, instead of performing the move. It's very annoying. Microsoft just design a controller meant for fighters.

I bought a Madcatz controller. I still get the jumping when I press left or right problem once in a while, but not nearly as often.

I don't have many problems using the D-pad on my 360 controller. The only problems I get is when I try to do a fatality, but other then that its fine for me.

I'm also looking for tha MadCatz Controller. But i live in the Netherlands. Can't find it over here. in 2 days I'll be flying for a performance to Washington DC. I think im gonna buy it over there. But yeah ED BOON if u Read this. What are u guys thinking by changing the moves for kids only for the XBOX. Why making different than PS3. Better question is. Why ruin the games by these kinda Little "mistakes"

I noticed the horrible D-Pad problem carries over from UMK3 to MK vs DCU.

Not the game's fault, just the hardware.

So often when I'm trying to fire Deathstroke's gun and I'm getting his knife gouge instead....

Just take a scissor and use the edge to carve the inner circle of the directional layout. The problem mainly lies with the direction button hitting the inner wall of the controller before it actually hits the chipset inside the controller. This has worked wonders for me.

I'd rather just get the madcatz one. I hear it's really good.

I don't know if I'm willing to take a scissors to a $60 controller in the small hope that it will work better.

the mad catz controller does work much better than the regular 360 one. although like someone mentioned you still get the occastional back forward special move but character jumps problem. but not nearly as much.
