i like how theres heaps of different Fatalities rather than just that '1 tonne' fatality :)
since the characters look so cute when theyre fighting and pulling fatals i thought it would be mad to have 1 friendship for each character :)
but not in the actual fighting game, only in puzzle kombat :)

Actually, I think that would be a pretty good idea, and a spiffy way to re-introduce the other "alities" back into Mortal Kombat without jeopardizing the direct fighting modes. It may be a bit of a gamble, seeing as this is their first time release a "puzzle kombat" mode...but I for one would like to see it =). Good idea.

No. Mortal Kombat's all about the slaughter, and any deviation from that would be illogical. Friendships and Babalities are all but universally reviled by gamers because of their 'cartoonyness' and deviation from the more 'serious' aspects of the game, mainly the life-and-death kombat and finishing moves. If Friendships and the like were put into Puzzle Kombat, gamers will, no doubt, see it as Midway's regression into the 'humorous' phase they had with MK3/UMK3/MKT. I think it's safe to say that Friendships and its ilk aren't coming back anytime soon, or ever, if gamers had their way.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them in. But it doesn't really matter to me. I'll like PK either way.

Do you think the game looks "So Serious" with mini characters? Tetris in a 'so serious' fighting game doesnt look so serious to me dude....
Puzzle Kombat looks to be a very fun game mode to play and it hasnt got anything to do with seriousness...
thats the only reason i thought it would be kool to have 'Friendships' in Puzzle Kombat because its not so serious like the actual fighting mode... Puzzle Kombat looks real cute, and with Friendships it would be a notch 'better i reckon :) ... Dont forget i didnt say in the actual fighting mode, only in the puzzle kombat mode.
But it would be really kool even without Friendships in it :)

True, the chibi characters in Puzzle Kombat aren't really all that 'serious' (looks a lot like Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo to me, a game that I love, by the way). However, you know how fanboys are. If Friendships show up in Puzzle Kombat, some of the players will undoubtedly complain about it. Even with Puzzle Kombat, they want to see the opponent dead, not spared with some cheezy fakeout of mercy. Then they'd refuse to play it, claiming the Friendships ruined the experience for them. And, of course, some of them would start speculating on if the Friendships were put into more than just Puzzle Kombat. Those speculations become rumors, those rumors become iron-clad beliefs by n00bs, and those beliefs would result in flame wars and an abstinence from MK (at least, until the next installment).
Granted, this is all just extreme xpeculation, but knowing how fanboys and n00bs can go out of control with this kind of stuff, I'd say that Midway had better keep their head down and not put Friendships in, even in the minigames, until at least the next installment or so.

I would love it ^_^ PK looks fun ,and seeing as I never got around to playing Puzzle Fighter Turbo like I wanted to. Why's ppl raggin on Friendships and Babalities ,If that ever happened to me in a real fight ,I'd be embarrased and/or Humiliated beyond all else.Besides MK is about having fun. Whether through gore ,or through humiliating people ,"It's all good." ^_^

Man, relax its just a game(a very Popular game). I agree that MK is very dark and serious but sometimes u need a comedic relief from the main focus. I think the idea of Friendships and Babalities in Puzzle Kombat adds even more humour to the already entertaining PK.
